So it was decided; Baekhyun was going to find himself a decent-paying job in the city.

It was now December, he had already finished packing his things, and was halfway into the forest; and as he walked along the snowy path, he could her the soft whisper of the cold winter breeze. It tickled his cheeks and also the bridge of his slender nose.

He coughed at the unwanted attention from the breeze, consciously telling it to go away. It seemed to read his mind though, since it quickly vanished and let him be.

Baekhyun quietly thanked it for doing so. 'I must be out of mind,' he thought. 'for I have just thanked the breeze like it was a human.' Silly Baekhyun. His mind was a bit off lately, ever since he found out that Chanyeol had a lying snake for a girlfriend...Or maybe it was just because his longtime crush had already found someone-and it wasn't him...

Baekhyun wrinkled his nose at the thought, and slid his hands into his pockets. 'Stop thinking of him!' he scolded himself. When would he learn that Chanyeol only thought of him as a friend and nothing more.

He let out a deep sigh filled with all his anguish. 'Maybe my new job will help me take my mind off of things?' he pondered. Deep inside, he prayed that he'd be able to get over him and move on. It wan't healthy for him to keep obsessing over some guy.

Along the way, he tripped over a rock. Stupid rock. He fell head first onto the cold, unforgiving ground.

"Awch!" he cried, while he rubbed circles on his beaten-up face. He checked himself for any bruises, wounds or any serious injury, and was totally relieved to have found none but the slight gash on his forehead.

It was bleeding rather harshly, but not too quickly. Baekhyun carried himself off the ground and continued, but on an anxiously faster pace now.

He couldn't wait to get to the city.
