Chapter: 19 "Loved"

The day was pretty hot as the sun was blazing the whole school with its fiery torch. All of the students were feeling a bit impatient, and our stoic hero was no exception. Chanyeol walked past the ivory halls, deeply agitated with a little letter clutched in his left fist.

All the people he'd walked past by stared at their school president with great disbelief. They had never seen him so...conflicted, worried, and stressed.

He shot them a menacing glare back once in a while but never lost focus on his goal. Whatever it was...

An ever bigger crowd of students met his way and they all shared the same look...shock. It was as if smoke was coming out of his head. Boy, was he mad.

A few more minutes later and he had finally reached his destination, the infirmary. He grabbed the doorknob and twisted it open, only to be greeted by his target, Autumn, who was sitting on a cushioned bench, playing with her bow.

He grunted and stared at her, demanding for answers. But the bubbly brunette just patted her cheek and paid him no mind as she coughed.

"What is the meaning of this?" he questioned aggressively, showing her the letter.

She looked away, obviously humiliated by what was written on the paper.

"Gah! I was so worried about you! Worried...sick! I thought you were dead! And here you are completely uninjured and unharmed! How apathetic and mindless can you get?!" he cried.

She suddenly began to tear up.

And with that his act of infinite rage had swelled down. He instantly knelt before her and hugged her tight.

"Look, Autumn I'm sorry. I didn't mean to..I...I'm sorry." he stuttered as Autumn started to stop her tears and was able to mumble something inaudible.

"What?" he asked.

"I..only did that so you'd notice me. Ever since our first lunch together, you've been ignoring..me... The fact is...I..." she began, still emotional from her recent meltdown.

Chanyeol looked at her and knew what she was going to say, and immediately pressed his lips against hers.

She was held back since she was taken by surprise but eventually kissed him back. Chanyeol broke away from the kiss and cupped her angelic face as he gently whispered into her delicate ear,

"I feel the same way about you too."

She smiled at the thought and grabbed him into a very warm embrace. They stayed like that for a while, just enjoying each other's warmth, not caring about the already hot temperature that was boiling inside the room.
