"Hailey?" Jay scrambled around the room, tossing things to the side. "Where are you?" He pulled the covers off the bed, and tossed the mattresses off as well. He shoved the couch to the side, checking under all the cushions, and even under the small space at the bottom.
She was here ten minutes ago, where could she have gone?
Jay stared at the mess he had created. Everything was on the ground, or out of place. Hailey was nowhere to be found. Jay slowly sank to the carpeted floor when he realized what must've happened.
They took her.... Oh God they took her and it's all my fault...
Jay put his hands on his forehead, and slowly ran then through his hair, debating his options. Hailey was gone, probably taken by his captors, and was possibly being tortured.
Just before that we were...
Jay blushed when he remembered the sensation he got when he was kissing Hailey.
Her lips were so soft, and it just felt.... Shit I can't be thinking about this. I have to get her back!
Jay stood up and walked over to the metal door, and began to pound on it, asking for Hailey's safe return, which then turned into him screaming and begging for her back, saying he would do anything for them. He screamed and slammed his fists into the door until his throat was raw and his hands were bruised. He slowly fell to his knees in front of the door.
"Please..." He choked out, his eyes glazed with tears that threatened to spill. The clock above him lit up a bright red, but Jay couldn't read it through his watery eyes. He swiped his hand across them, smacking himself lightly in the process. When his eyes had cleared slightly, he stared at the glowing red numbers counting down. Four hours until something happened. Jay stared at that clock for about five minutes, before slowly standing, and moving about the room in a trance. He very slowly straightened the disorderly room. He put the mattresses back on the beds, struggling with the top bunk. He grabbed the blankets that had been strewn across the floor, and placed them on the beds, making them up nicely.
He straightened he T.V., and placed the movies back in the holder. He pushed the couch into it's previous position, placing the cushions where they belonged. Once he finished his chore, he slowly sat down, and began his wait.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
Jay leapt up from his vigil on the couch as the door burst open, and two men in suits dragged a crying Hailey into the room. They tossed her in front of them, intending for her to hit the ground, but she plummeted into Jay instead. She swiftly wrapped her arms around him, squeezing his torso as the men left the room without uttering a word. Hailey buried her head into Jay's shoulder, her hysterical sobs muffled by the fabric of his shirt. He rubbed her back while whispering soothing words into her ear. She slowly began to calm down, lifting her head from his shoulder.
"Hailey, what happened?" She completely ignored him, staring at the floor, a few stray tears crawling down her cheek. Jay's gaze softened, and he placed a hand on her cheek, wiping away her tears. She brought up her own had to cover it and raised her head so her red and puffy eyes met his.
"T-they showed me things...." She whispered.
"What things?" He pressed. "Did they hurt you?"
"Not physically, no." She looked away from him again. "But they told me what they would do if we didn't give them what they want. They said they would..." Her voice cracked and she stopped talking, biting her lip as more tears threatened to flow.
"What did they tell you?" Jay pulled her into him, so her head was on his chest.
"They said they would sell me..."
"What?" Jay stiffened.
"They would sell me on a sex market to the highest bidder." Her voice was barely audible as she quivered in fear.
"No." Jay squeezed her. "I can't let them do that." He gritted his teeth.
"You might not be able to stop them." She whispered, clenching his dark blue shirt in her fingers.
"I have to try, I can't and won't let anything happen to you. You mean too much to me." He blushed as he said the last part. Hailey tensed slightly before lifting her head and staring into his eyes. She slowly leaned closer and brought their lips together in a tender kiss. She broke away quickly, her face red in the dim lighting of the room.
"I promised you a kiss, didn't I?" She smiled at him. He returned the smile. His face turned a darker shade of red when his eyes trailed down her face to her neck where a deep purple mark was.
"You know, about earlier..."
"Yeah?"
"That was my first kiss." He muttered, looking away.
"Mine too. That dancing was fun though."
"Yeah."
"Maybe, we can try again?" Hailey stared at his eyes again.
"Yeah, I'd really like that." Hailey grinned and hopped up from the floor, rushing to her the dresser, pulling something out, and heading for the bathroom. Jay waited nervously standing, staring at his red and white basketball socks. Hailey emerged shortly, and Jay felt blood rise to his face when he saw her.
She had a light purple dress on, it had two thin straps running over her shoulders. The dress was smooth above the waist, and ruffled from the waist to her knees, where the dress ended.
"You like it?" She asked, blushing. Jay slowly strode up to her, and took her hand. He knelt down in front of her, kissing the top of her knuckles.
"It's gorgeous." He said, rising to pull her closer to him. The pair glided to the stereo, where Jay pressed a button, and another slow song came on. Hailey and Jay danced until the CD ran out of songs to dance to. They slowly made their way to the bed, flicking off the light in the process. The room had gone pitch black.
"You ready for bed?" He muttered, slipping across the bottom bed, pulling the covers aside for her to get in beside him.
"Yeah, just let me get rid of this dress first." Jay could hear her pulling the fabric off of her body. Jay instantly blushed and scooted further away from where he though she was.
"Are you going to be able to find your other clothes in the dark?" He stammered.
"What other clothes?"
"Hailey! B-but-"
"I get it." She sighed. "You don't want me like that yet."
"I-I do its just-"
"No, it's fine." He heard her slip another piece of clothing on. "Besides, it wouldn't be fair that I was the only one without outer clothes on."
"Hailey-" she cut him off by placing a finger to his lips and sliding into bed with him. She put her head on his chest and her hand over his heart. Jay snaked his arm around her, and pulled her closer, putting his other arm to the side.
"Goodnight Jay. I would tell you what you told me, but that might set you off, and we don't need that now." Jay blushed and stared at her vague outline in the dark.
"Goodnight Hailey." He pressed a kiss to the top of her head, taking in her scent, and pulled only a few inches away, and placed his head on the pillow, and shut his eyes.
