"Dad?" Jay stared at the man sitting across from him in the chopper.

"Hello!" Andy chirped.

"What? But I thought...."

"Nope. I'm very much alive, and so is your mother. It's really a shame you couldn't come with us earlier."

Jay gaped at him. "Why wouldn't you tell me? At least in some way?"

"There was no need for that. You would have found your way to us anyway. I just wish it was under different circumstances." His eyes flitted to another suited man beside him.

The man stared at him, a dead look in his eyes. Jay's stomach twisted into a knot.

"This man is Jared Pragler. He is my supervisor. He will be having a conversation with you once we get back."

Jay gulped. "Why?"

"Because. You've been straying from the path set. "

"What do you mean?"

"Jay. You've avoided our extractions for years, no doubt with the help of that horrible sister in-law of mine...."

"What does Lexi have to do with this?" Jay asked as the chopper made a sharp turn to the right.

"She knew about what your mother and I were doing, yet she didn't report is, but she didn't help us either. But she never wanted that life for you. She got in the way sometimes. We figured it was about time to get rid of her. Then she disappeared, along with you." He scowled. "It took us a while to track you down, but we did, and here we are." The chopper dipped lower in the air, causing Jay's stomach to drop.
"Damn... Never really got used to that yet.." Andy muttered.

"Where are we going?" Hailey spoke timidly. Her voice was quiet and scared through the headset.

"You'll see soon enough my dear. Wait." He scratched his chin. "Who the hell is she?" He pointed a finger at Yvette.

"She was unprecedented. She was just there, and we had to take her as well, or she might have reported something."

"I see." The man called Jared said. He had a rough voice, like he was making a threat."we have something to use against him now."

"Well, either way, it's not that far away." Andy smiled. He seemed too happy.

The chopper was flying over the trees, getting closer to the ground. Until a light flashed ahead. It was a huge complex that was completely camouflaged to match the forest. A single spotlight moved in a circle on the highest building. By now the sky had fully darkened.

The helicopter circled the complex once, letting Jay see the full area. It appeared to have high walls. And plenty of buildings, some even looked domestic. The chopper began to descend to the roof of a medium size building, landing on top with a thud. The rotors began to slow as Yvette opened the door.

"Out, now." Yvette pulled out her gun and pointed it at Hailey. She did as she was told, followed by Jay. The two removed their headsets and handed them to Yvette, who turned and tossed them back into the chopper, narrowly missing Jared as he stepped down. He glared at her. Yvette winced slightly.

Andy followed him shortly. The trio led Jay and Hailey toward the entrance on the roof when the door burst open. Men in suits poured out, dangerous looking weapons held in their hands. One man had a white tie, and did not carry a gun. Without a word, he pulled a black hood over Jay's head, effectively blinding him. He heard a squeak next to him, confirming they had done the same thing to Hailey. He arms were tightly bound behind his back with thin, but strong, rope. He felt himself being led down some stairs, and being pushed down a few halls.

"Watch your step." A gruff voice said, as Jay was pushed down a short staircase.

"See you soon, Son." Andy's voice reached Jay just as a heavy door slammed behind them.

After a few more minutes, and a lot of twists and turns, Jay's hands were untied as he heard a door being opened, before he was shoved inside, the hood bring ripped from his head. Hailey stumbled in next to him.

Jay looked around the room. It was tiny, with two small beds, one above the other, against one wall, and a bookshelf against the other. There was a door Jay presumed led to a bathroom. A timer hung above the door, counting down from seven hours.Over the timer was a strange clock-looking object, although it only had two sides. The left side was black, and the right side was blue. The single hand pointed to the dark side.

"It must mean night." Hailey said, looking up at the dial.

"Yeah." Hailey didn't respond, instead walking over and sitting on the bottom bed.

Jay sighed and flicked off the light switch he discovered. The room was plunged into darkness, except for the glow of the counting down timer. Jay climbed the ladder to the top bed, and laid down on the thin mattress. He pulled the blanket onto him, and placed his head on the pillow. He heard Hailey shift around underneath him.

"Hailey?" He called. "Are you...Okay?"

"I've been kidnapped, and locked in a room, torn away from my family and friends. Of course I'm okay."

"Hailey... I'm sorry."

"It doesn't matter. This isn't your fault."

"I know...."

"I'm tired." She sighed. "Goodnight Jay."

"Goodnight Hailey." He shut his eyes.

I love you....
