It was dark. He could hear a voice. Her voice. But he couldn't focus. He receded back into the darkness.
*Hailey*
Hailey knelt down next to the boy, frantically calling his name, trying to shake him awake. She placed her head on his chest to see if his heart was still beating. It was. She sighed and attempted to lift him, only barely getting him off the ground, and making him groan in pain. She almost dropped him. Jay lay on his back, his eyes shut, a pained expression on his face. His breathing was extremely labored. His body was also covered in sweat.
"What did they do to you?" Hailey whispered, running as hand down his arm, seeing the place where the needle entered his skin. She didn't know what to do. He was burning up, but she didn't want to move him in fear of hurting him. She sat there, debating her options. She decided to move him.
Placing her hands under his back, she lifted with all her might. Jay was heavy, but not that heavy. He moaned again, still in pain, as Hailey began to drag/carry him to her bed. She moved her hands lower, and hoisted him up, plopping him on the mattress. She huffed and turned to the small bathroom. She grabbed a washcloth, and soaked it with cold water. She rung out the cloth, folded it, and headed back over to Jay, before placing on his forehead. She glanced at the clock. They had about sixteen hours.
Hailey sighed and looked at the other clock object. The dial pointed to the darker side, which they assumed meant night. She gently shoved him over and laid down next to him, planting a kiss on his cheek before pulling the blanket up over them both. She nuzzled up against him. He was giving off a lot of body heat, and their cell wasn't the warmest thing ever. She rested a hand on his chest, over his heart, and shut her eyes.
*Jay*
Jay cracked his eyes open a little. He was in a bed, with something damp on his forehead. It felt like a washcloth. Then the memories of what happened came back, and he shivered. He felt a presence next to him, and almost blacked out again when he saw Hailey there. He stared at her, she was so close to him, she was warm. He wrapped an arm around her body, pulling her closer, while tracing tiny circles on her face, next to her left eyebrow. He smiled at his sleeping girlfriend. Then frowned.
Why am is she here? They don't need her. They want me, and what I know. They know that I know, but I can't let them find out that I actually know. Hailey, I'm sorry. This is all my fault.
And Tracy, I'm sorry that they're finally catching up with me. I'm glad you told me, but I never wanted to end up here. Funny how life works. But I made you a promise that they would never find out, and I intend to keep it.
He stared back at Hailey, and pulled her even closer, so she was almost sliding on top of him. He hugged her close.
"I'll keep you safe. I promise."

Can he tho? So he actually knows what they want from him. Also who is Tracy? Find out later.
Also, I'm sorry this chapter was so short.
