Dreams Come True

They say after the rain, a rainbow will show,

And beautiful colors will gently taint the sky

As they dance to an unheard melody, they will gladly let you know

About the secrets in life until time flies by.

They say that birds will recite a song in the morning light.

To wake to endless patterns of nature's song,

Until it's rhythim fills you with an endless might.

They say that after darkness a morning will come.

A said light would rise in the sky and vanquish all shadows.

Warm rays would fill you to the core and reach every bone,

To elimate problems and make your troubles shallow.

I've been sitting here for quite a while now,

Just waiting for all these fantasies to become reality.

Everyday I make myself a small vow

That if I keep trying, I will get out of it.

Yet no rainbow has followed this rain,

It's still cold outside with some distant thunder.

Only a puddle of mud and a drizzle of pain,

Have been formed and I keep going under.

No matter how hard I try to listen,

I haven't been able to hear the chirping birds.

No song wakes me from this dreadful pain

It feel like it's made me weak and the rest of my will has been drained.

Everyday I sit in this same spot, glancing out towards the horizon.

I look for the slightest hint of light, but nothing has ever been seen.

Shadows still gloom in my ever so vacant room,

And I'm starting to loose a part of me.

Can you tell me why the rainbow won't dance even after a rain?

Explain why it only showers me with more and more pain?

Where have the birds gone if they haven't even come?

Won't I ever hear the sound of its so called beautiful song?

And the morning light, when will it shine?

I've been patiently waiting for it to wrap me in a warm embrace,

So tell me why I still feel cold in this lonley place.

Some things can never be known,

And for this I haven't cared to try.

All I want is to find my way home,

And be happy until the day I die.

So now I'll ask a favor from you.

You're all I have left, and what I ask for may be a little odd,

But for me it would truley mean it all.

Will you paint a rainbow in the sky?

Just so I can see the dance that never came.

Will you sing me a song?

Because an angel's voice is greater than a flockfull of birds.

But most of all, will you be my morning sun?

To guide from these shadows and fill me with a pleasant warmth.

That's all I ask, and yes it's unusual.

But as long as you're the one, I can put my full trust in you.

So please help me with this one thing,

And make my dreams come true.
