Ever since your parents were brutally murdered by those dumbass titans right in front of your face, you closed yourself off. You didn't socialize with others or let them in. You walked around with a "fuck off" expression and sent off a murderous aura. That is, until you met Eren.

Every day before today was never gray

Until tonight, yeah

You sat in the mess hall, eating your bread like it was nobody's business. Three other people sat near you. You were stuck next to the blondie with a bowl cut.

"Hi! I'm Armin," he said, turning and smiling at you.

"I'm Mikasa. This is Eren," the girl sitting across from you said.

"Mikasa, I can introudce myself," Eren said. You remained poker faced and didn't say anything. There was an awkward silence before the three other people decided to make converstion amongst themselves. Eren's gaze stayed on you for a minute. You raised an eyebrow at him. After a while you stood up, ready to leave.

"Wait! Lemme walk you out," someone said from behind you. You turned to see Eren walking towards you. You rolled your eyes and ignored him. He caught up with you anyways.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"Y/n," you replied monotonous. You had somewhat of an interest with him.

"That's a nice name," he said. You ignored him and continued to walk. Strangely, you felt a little guilty for not responding.

"T-thanks," you said quietly.

"You're welcome! Anyways, do you wanna hang out tomorrow since they're giving us a break?" He asked. You gave him a sideways glance and were compelled to accept.

"Alright, but I don't do well around other people," you said.

"You're doing fine around me!" That was true...You didn't know what it was about Eren, but he seemed okay.

I wasn't expecting ya to have me seeing sepia

The next day...

You were sitting against a tree when Eren and others came running over to you. You groaned and remembered your agreement from the night  before.

"Hey Y/n!" Eren said, plopping down on the ground next to you.

"Hi," you said quietly. Mikasa and Armin followed suit. Despite your weariness around other people, Eren was right next to you so it was fairly okay.

"How are you?" He asked, his teal-green eyes widened in excitement.

"Fine, I guess," you answered bluntly.

After months of hanging out with Eren and getting to know him...

You started to realize a vast change in your attitude, and everyone else did too. Well, everyone except for the reason behind the change. Whenever you were around Eren, it was like the world became brighter and more colorful.

It was one of those fateful days you had a break, and you and Eren sat up under the same tree as the last break you had a few months ago. This time however, you were alone. You sat next to each other, your head rested on his shoulder.

"I'm glad we're friends," he said quietly, messing with your hair. You smiled which was foreign to you.

"Me too. I feel like you're the only person who understands me. I've never really let anyone in before you," you replied, personally surprised at yourself.

"Really?" He asked, scooting away to look at you. You nodded and found yourself blushing. The time is now.

"Eren, I have to be honest with you..."

"What is it?" Eren asked, giving you a look of concern. You took a deep breath and suddenly the grass was the most fascinating thing in the world.

"Eren, I really like you a lot. I used to shut people out and the world was like this dark, colorless place and then you came and made an effort to know me and people usually give up after I tell them to fuck off," you said, fiddling with your fingers. He smiled and lifted your chin up to meet his gaze.

"Y/n, you're perfect and I really like you...Maybe I love you but when I'm with you it's different than when I'm with anyone else."

You looked into his teal-green eyes, feeling your stomache tie itself into a know. Everything was perfect and the wind blew and your h/c flowed gracefully behind you.

"E-Eren, this might be a bit untraditional with me asking, but do you want to be my boyfriend?" You asked sheepishly. You figured it was appropriate to ask since you've been non-stop hanging out with each other for the past many months.

"I'd love to," he said with a grin.

You smiled back and leaned in. You wrapped your arms around Eren's neck and his around your waist. You rested your head on his shoulder. You looked up. The sky seemed more blue than normal. You had let someone into your life, and it was absolutely amazing.

I didn't include the whole song because I'm lazy and wanted to end it there. I think I'm gonna do a bunch more song based oneshots because lately I've been in a writing slump and writing with a general premise from a song helps. I did this differently from You'll Be Back bc reasons. Anyways even though literally only one person reads this RN requests are open. Okay well see y'all next chapter!
