Jeff's POV
What is this I feel?
"Sometimes I cut myself and imagine my flesh as someone elses. Someone's that I hate."
The clock read 7:25 in the morning as I flicked through the delicate pages of Jennifer's journal. I turned to watch the rise and fall of her chest as she slept. "Ergh." Finally, he was awake. Dropping the journal, I turned to Eyeless Jack. "What the fuck Jack! You killed her Family?" I resisted the urge to jab my knife into one of his eye sockets. "Well, well, in my d-defense... You freaked me out a-about Alice!"
**FLASHBACK**
"Now, why would a girl like Alice like a kidney-obsessed creep like you?" Jack ran his bony fingers through the tufts of his shaggy brown hair before sighing. We had been fighting for several hours. "Shut up! Just shut up!" Jack rarely shouted, I could tell I was getting on his nerves. " Jennifer accepts you for the monstrosity you are! You'll see. Alice will love me. She's the one."
**FLASHFORWARD*
"Ow. Why does my back feel like someone just ran me over with a truck?" Grabbing him by the collar, I hauled him out the window. I checked to see if Jennifer was still asleep before jumping out after him. Jack was brushing the dirt from his knees before turning rigid at my presence. "First of all," I shoved my knife in towards his face, "you're going to clean up the mess you made of her Family. And second, SHE" I emphasized by pointing up, "stabbed you to death. Too bad you're freaking immortal! I'm going to go kill someone. Make sure she doesn't leave the house."
"Where do you think you're going?" His back was to me as I mounted my foot at the small of his back. I had pushed him behind an industrial bin where no one could see us. I flipped the blonde haired boy over, quickly running the blade up an inch or so from each corner of his mouth. He was probably only a year or two younger than me. Savouring every moment of it, I relished at the fear eminating from his eyes as he writhed beneath me. I could hear my knife as it slid in and out of his abdomen many times before I grew bored of stabbing him. But it didn't sound half as good as the tearing that came from his mouth as he screamed out in agony. I left him to lie there as he choked on his own blood, admiring the torn flesh of his brand new smile.
Licking the blood off my knife, I chucked my hoodie up and headed back home. My anger began to resurface as the adrenaline wore off. Jack should've known Jennifer lived nextdoor! The steps to my house creaked as I made my way inside. If he was upset over Alice, why couldn't he have just killed her? "Because," a voice bellowed, "she is to him what Jennifer is to you." White hands were placed on my shoulders. In the blink of an eye, I found myself in my room. "Slenderman," I muttered, shaking my head. What did he mean? She was just plain little Jennifer. The girl from nextdoor who I couldn't kill. How could she mean anything more to me than a friend?
"No, don't hurt them." Turning, my eyes found her lips as she spoke in her sleep. "Please. Don't!" Why hadn't I noticed how pretty her lips were before? They were the best feature on that plain face of hers by far. I could feel myself blush as the oversized black t-shirt I leant her rose up, revealing the scars that covered the entire length of her thigh. "YOU'RE A MONSTER!" It felt like she was directing her words at me, as she began thrashing around violently. I stood, watching the black sheets of my bed consume her small body. "HELP!"
Her eyes never opened, even when my grip on her wrists tightened as I pinned them above her head. Our breaths mingled as I threw myself on top of her, straddling her in an attempt to calm her down. Surely my body weight would be enough to stop her spasming. "Uh!" A moan escaped my lips as her hips moved viciously against me. "Jennifer! Wake up!"
BANG! Our heads collided as she shot up, causing me to fall back. "Jeff!" she groaned, clutching her head, clearly seeing stars. "I'm so sorry!" I looked down to my pants. Uh-oh. "Jennifer! Don't!" It was too late. Biting my lip, I felt her soft stomach pressing against below my waist. "Jeff." Her head slowly lifted off my chest. I refused to look at her. "Uh, I think you hav- HEY!" I felt the warmth of her body leave me as I shoved her off to the side. "JEEEEEEFF!" she whined. "WHAT?!" I snapped. "I got your knife." She grinned triumphantly, waving the blade back and forth, before jumping up and running down the stairs.
Strands of hair blocked my vision as I stumbled down the stair, falling on top of what must of been Jennifer once I reached the bottom. Why had she stopped? "You're alive." Her cold, harsh, monotonous tone shocked me. But at the same time, it evoked something wild within me. Why was I finding this attractive? "Yeah, uh. I'm Eyeless Jack. Err, I'm sort of immortal." I looked at Jennifer's fire-ignited brown eyes before looking up to see Jack standing their, hunched over like he was depressed. "I-I'm s-so sorry, for killing y-your Family. I truely am." That disgusting black oil-like ooze he cried came pouring out again. He contined, "It's just that I freaked out. Jeff has found someone like him, and I got upset that Alice might not be as accepting of me as you've been of Jeff..."
Jennifer was enraged. Rolling my eyes, I internally chuckled at how pathetic Jack was being right now. He's never broken from the calm demeanour he usually put on. "I won't forgive you. But I'll put up with you. For Alice's sake." Jennifer pushed me off her as she spoke, suddenly seeming taller than she actually was. Jack stepped back as she displayed my knife before him. "I've loved her for quite some time though!" "She knows you?!" "No! I only revealed myself to her at the Halloween party, no other time. I swear! Jeff, help!" His pleading was rather amusing.
My thoughts were interrupted by my blade making it's way straight to Jack's chest, lodging itself into his heart. Straining, Jack complimented Jennifer as he fell to his knees. "Good shot," he gave a thumbs up before crashing onto the woden floor. "Sorry," Jennifer brushed the wisps of black hair from her tanned face. "And thanks." The sight of her was simply beautiful; Her plain face seemed to glow with the release of her anger, and the very slight curves of her soft body seemed so prominent as I gazed up from the floor at her.
Whats wrong with me? My heart only raced this fast when I was out killing. "I think you shoulder stop damaging your bestfriend's boyfriend." Her grip tightened on the handle of my knife. "So uh, you know. Every bit of him still works just incase they get serious." I motioned towards below my waist. "Ah, yeah. Right, right. Let's go to your house." Stepping over Jack's temporarily lifeless body, we made our way to the front door and into the warm afternoon.
'What is this I feel?' I thought to myself. Jennifer, she was beautiful. Why hadn't I seen it before?
