Later in the day, Rick sat with Carl, Ana and Daryl had come back but still no Maggie and Glenn.
"Ana" I called her name and she turned to see me
"Yeah" she replied as she walked towards me
"My dad, he doesn't want Ricks group to stay. And he says I have to choose. But I don't think I can"
"What makes you want to stay here?"
"Uh, my family, a house"
"And Ricks group?"
"Guns, more people, you"
"I think you're forgetting something"
"What?"
"Rick"
"He doesn't matter. He's married. So maybe I should stay here so I don't have to see him all the time"
"If we leave" she says thinking positively
"When you leave"
"Negative Nelly"
"Speaking of Nelly. Maggie is back" I say pointing to her and the horse she rode, Nelly. "And I'm a realist. I'm not negative" I stood up and made my way down the steps of the porch to stand beside Ana. "Still no Sophia?" I asked
"Yeah. If we found her I'm sure people would be a bit more chipper"
"Thought I'd ask"
Dad hugged Maggie and she said something to him before coming to stand with me and Ana.
"How was the run?" I asked
"Fine" she replied
"Hm, I'm sure you've got more to say"
"Nothing I'm willing to share with you" she said with a grin and spun on her heel to go inside.
"Damn" Ana mumbled
"Yeah" I snickered "you get a shower yet?" I ask Ana
"No. I don't really think I have the option"
"If Shane did, you do. Follow me" I say and start to walk inside.
We passed Carl's room, Rick was setting a hat on Carl's head and he laughed quietly. I continued to lead Ana upstairs.
"Do you wanna use my old clothes?" I ask as we step into my old room
"I'll look so country, won't I?"
"Maybe"
"If they're clean, I mean, why not?"
"True"
I went through my clothes. I pulled out a t-shirt that had weird ruffled sleeves, and a pair of blue jeans.
"Might be a little small. You're really tiny"
"You're out of your mind" she takes the pants and they fit almost perfectly
"Okay. These are old anyways. You gain weight as you get old, right?"
