From the barn I could see Rick talking to Lori. I couldn't hear anything unless one of them yelled, then it was just indistinct. I turned to the barn and hit the door in frustration. Walkers pushed back, moaning for a taste of fresh flesh and the sound of my screaming. I yelled at the door, I doubt anyone back at the farm could hear me. If they did, it was a faint noise. I hit the door once again and turned back to Rick and Lori. Lori was walking away while Rick stood alone, leaning over a fence. I sighed, I wanted to talk to him but he wouldn't want to hear it.
I walked back to the farm. People at the camp watched me as I passed, I ignored. Lori had a really hard and cold stare on me. I shrugged my shoulders at her, it wasn't my fault she cheated. I walked into the house.
"What were you doing by the barn?" Dad asked
"Just checkin up on your patients" I said sarcastically and proceeded to walk upstairs to my room to be alone and rest.

In the morning I decided to eat breakfast with Ricks group. It would give me a break from my family and get to be with my friends. The air was sticky and there was a light fog. It seemed so glum. I sat in a chair in between Ana and Daryl, away from Rick. Rick and Lori sat a few feet from each other, Carl under Loris arm. Carol was cooking eggs for T-Dog, who was the last person who had to get some. We ate on plastic plates with plastic forks, it felt like camping. It was pretty quiet, no one spoke, maybe fear or just early in the morning. Maggie stood on the porch watching us and I didn't bother to question it.
Glenn cleared his throat, as if everyone was talking, he stood up.
"I have something to say" he says and nervously looks to Dale.
It was about the walkers.
Dale nods him on. "There's walkers in the barn" he blurts.
Shane shot up from his chair, Daryl stopped eating and slowly stood up. I knew, but wanted to go along as if I didn't know.
Shane ran out to the barn the fastest and I ran as a close second. I wanted to stop him. We all stop in front of the barn, out of breath, Shane walks to the door. He puts his face right up to the door and it bangs back at him.
"You cannot tell me you're alright with this" He says to Rick
"I'm not. But this isn't our land" Rick says in a harsh tone
"we can't just sweep this under the rug" Andrea says
"We either go in there or we gotta leave" Shane continues
"Then where do we go? Fort Benning?" I ask
"Yeah. That's exactly where we go" he says turning to me
"We haven't found Sophia" I beat Carol to the idea
"Let's face it, it's past the 48 hours, and that's the cut off before there were walkers" he turns to Carol
"I'm this close to findin her, man!" Daryl yells "just found her damn doll the other day" he says now throwing his arms up and approaches Shane.
"You found a doll, Daryl. Just a doll, that don't mean anything" Shane fights
"The hell you mean!"
"Let me tell you, if she was alive. Saw you methed out with your buck knife and geek ears around your neck, she'd run in the other direction!"
