At night we set up a fire and sat around. Daryl stood watch on the bus. Rick had been circling the gate for a while now.

"Tomorrow we'll move all the bodies, keep them away from that water. If we dig a canal under the fence, we'll have plenty of fresh water" T-Dog says

"The soil is good. We can plant some seed, tomatoes, cucumbers, soybeans" Dad says picking up soil, he looks up to Rick "that's his third time around. If there was any part of it compromised. He would've found it by now"

Carol leaves to give Daryl some food and I leave to talk to Rick.

"Care if I join?" I ask

He shook his head.

"I think we're safe, Rick"

"Just wanna make sure. I can't have anyone else get hurt. Not after the farm. Not after Andrea, Ana, Patricia, Jimmy"

I shuddered at Anas name. She hadn't slipped my mind, but it was pushed back there. I knew she was gone but I couldn't process it. I had other things to do. People to take care of. I had to focus on that and not anything else.

"That wasn't your fault, Rick"

"If I didn't kill Shane. Carl wouldn't have had to shoot him and that herd wouldn't have found us and we'd all be at the farm still"

"But we have this now, Rick and that's gotta mean something" I say and leave him to join the group.

"How about, the parting glass?" I heard Dad say as I sat down next to Glenn.

"No one wants to hear" Beth says quietly

"I do. Haven't heard you sing in years" I say with a small smile

"Okay" she says and starts to sing.

"Of all the money
E'er I've had
I spent it in good company
All the harm
E'er I've done
Alas it was to none but me
And all I've done
For want of wit
To memory now
I can't recall
So fill to me
The parting glass
Good night and joy be with you all"

Maggie joined in

"And all the comrades
That e'er I had"

She put her hand on my leg and urged me to sing, and I did.

"Were sorry for my going away
And all the sweethearts
That e'er I had
Would wish me one more day to stay
But since in falls unto my lot
That I should rise
And you should not
I'll gently rise
And I'll softly call
Good night and joy be with you all
Good night and joy be with you all"

"Beautiful" Dad said and I smiled at both Maggie and Beth

"Better all turn in. I'll take watch over there" Rick says "got a big day tomorrow"

"What do you mean?" Glenn asks

"We can't live in this yard forever" I say assuming Ricks plan

"We're all exhausted and this was a great win. But we've gotta push just a little bit more. Most of the walkers are dressed as guards or prisoners. Looks like this place fell pretty early, it could mean the supplies may be intact. Infirmary, commissary,"

"Armory?" Daryl asks

"That would be outside the prison, but not too far away. Wardens offices would have info on the location" I say looking at Daryl

"What the hell do you know about prisons?"

"I've said too much. It's a secret" I joke and give Daryl a smirk as he looks at me confused

"Anyways. What I'm saying, that prison would have weapons, food, medicine. This place could be a gold mine" Rick says

"We're dangerously low on ammo. We'd run out before we made a dent" Dad says

"That's why we have to go in there. Hand to hand. After all we've been through, we can handle it. I know it. These assholes don't stand a chance" Rick then leaves again.

Carol and Daryl sit to join us while Lori leaves to talk to Lori.

"Tell me more about your secret, ginger" Daryl says sitting next to me

"I've been in prisons" I replied nonchalantly

"As the prisoner or the cop?" Daryl further questioned.

"I could've been a warden, you know"

"Were you?" he raised his brows.

"Nah"

"Fuck you"

"Me?" I said with a gasp, holding my chest as if I was in shock

"Yeah. You made me feel bad. But seriously, what were you?"

"Nothing. My brother was a C.O. He told me a lot about the prison. He was really excited when he first started and told me all about it"

"I thought you were gonna say your boyfriend"

"No!" I exclaimed "I've never had one" I whispered.

"What? You?"

"Yeah. You sound surprised"

"Because you're a pretty girl, Isabelle"

"Yeah. Okay, Dixon"

"I'm serious. I may not like you, but it's pretty clear you're pretty. But I assume all the guys you wanted were young and dumb. But I'm old, it's personality over looks now"

"Now? now it's survival"

Ricks p.o.v

"Psst" I heard someone say.

I turned around and saw Lori, I walked to meet her halfway.

"I appreciate everything you're doing. We all do. But it's been a death march and they're all exhausted l. Can't we just enjoy this for a few days?" Lori asks

"Baby will be here in a few days" I tell her "there's no time for a picnic"

"No, but it's time to get the house in order"

"What do you think I'm doing?" I ask frustrated.

"Your absolute best"

"Don't patronize me" I say and start to walk away.

"I'm not. I'm just saying the baby's about to be here and we need to talk about-"

"Talk about what?" I stop and turn around

"Things we've been avoiding"

"How you fucked Shane?" I spat cruel words at her.

"How you love Isabelle?" she returned them right back.

"If you wanna talk. Talk to Hershel" I say, I was caught off guard and didn't think of what I was saying and what would come next when I said that. It hurt but I was also embarrassed that I said something so low and shady. "I'm doing stuff, Lori. Things. Isn't that enough for you? I'm still here"

"You're right. I'm sorry"

I look at her but then look away before deciding I should leave.
