*Stiles POV*

I take a seat on the bench bouncing my leg nervously as I search the crowd. I have no clue where Devin is. According to Scott he text her asking where she is and all she said was Isaac so now I'm flipping out.

"Your dad coming?" Scott ask sitting next to me.

"Yeah, he's already here." I nod towards the bleachers.

"You seen Allison?" Scott ask, obviously he's worried about her.

"No. You seen Devin yet?" I ask hopeful.

"Not yet." He sighs scanning behind me before turning back to the field with me.

"You know what's going on?" I question again hoping maybe something's changed.

"Not yet." Scott grimaces.

I look up at him finally with fear. "It's going to be bad, is not it? I mean, like people screaming, running for their lives, blood, killing, maiming kind of bad?"

"Looks like it." Scott sighs next to me.

"Scott, the other night seeing my dad get hit over the head by Matt, you know, and hearing Devin cry out in pain when she was shot, while I 'm just lying there and I can't even move, it just - I want to help, you know, I can't do all the Things That you can do. I can't ..." I trail off and end with a sigh.

"It's ok." Scott assures me placing his hand on my shoulder.

"We're losing dude." I groan.

"The hell are you talking about?" My head shoots up to see Coach standing there. "The game hasn't even started. Now put your helmet on and get out there. You're in for Greenberg."

I look up at him in panic. "What? What happened to Greenberg?"

"What happened to Greenberg? He sucks. You suck slightly less." Coach yells.

"I'm playing? On the field? With the team?" I ask trying to make sure I heard right.

"Yes, UNLESS you'd rather play with yourself." Coach sasses.

"I did that already today, twice." I blankly state.

"Get the hell out there." Coach yells grabbing me by the jersey and tossing me on the field.

*Devin's POV*

I whip into the parking lot right at game time and make my way up the bleachers to where I see Sheriff Stilinski. I make it to him and Melissa in no time and take a seat. "I was beginning to think you weren't coming." Sheriff Stilinski says smiling.

"Are you kidding? I wouldn't miss it for the world." I grin. Turning back to the field I see a maroon jersey run onto the field from the bench. "Wait is that... Stiles?" I question squinting to see.

"Oh, no. Why is my son running out to the field?" The sheriff ask as we realize it's number 24 running on.

"Because he's on the team?" Melissa says, in a question form seeing as we're all confused.

"He is." Sheriff smiles.

"Mhhh-mh" I hum in happiness. My boyfriend isn't only playing in the championship game, he's starting!

"He's on the team. He's - he's on the field. My son is on the field!" The sheriff cheers standing up.

Stiles head snaps to the bleachers where we sat. When his eyes lock with mine a look of relief crosses them.

As the game begins Stiles has a er rough start. He may have thrown a few passes to the other team, and maybe he missed a few passes to him but hey the game is still early. By now Lydia had joined us in the bleachers as well.

"He's probably just warming up." Melissa offers the sheriff and I. I flinch as the ball lands in Stiles' net.

"Oh, he's just a little nervous. Plenty of time to turn it around." Lydia assures me. I look at her with a grimace before turning back to the field and see Stiles get tackled.

"Oh my god." I squeak closing my eyes and hiding in Sheriff Stilinski's shoulder.

Looking back up my eyes wander down to the bench where Isaac now sat next to Scott on the bench.

"Oh shit." I mutter more to myself.

"What's wrong?" The sheriff ask, he must've heard.

"Oh uh nothing, I'll uh be right back." I say standing up and rushing down to the field. Making to the bench I take a seat next to Isaac.

"Devin what the hell are you doing down here?" Scott ask.

"Trying to figure out what the hell is going on!" I exclaim waving my arms.

"You got a plan yet?" Isaac ask turning to Scott.

"No, right now it's pretty much just keep Jackson from killing anyone." Scott sighs looking out at the field.

"Well, that might be easier if you're actually in the game." I snap.

Isaac looks at me and nods in agreement. "We have to make it so coach has no choice but to play you." He adds.

"How do we do that? He's got a bench full of guys he can use before he ever puts me on the field." Scott groans looking between us. Isaac and I share a glance before looking back at Scott in a suggestive way. "Can you do it without putting anyone in the hospital?" Scott ask skeptical.

"I can try." Isaac shrugs.

"Great! Good! Alright I'm going back to my seat before coach sees me." I say standing up and jogging back to our seat quickly.

I sit next to Lydia as the game goes on. Between Jackson and Isaac we've lost half our players. On the next play Jackson come up hitting Isaac hard, I could hear the crack from where I sat.

Isaac limps off the field holding his arm  making me worried, he should've shaken it off by now. "I think Jackson nicked me." I hear him tell Scott.

Great just what we needed! I watch skeptically has Jackson takes out another one of our plays, this time resulting in the EMT's being needed.

"Devin can I talk to you down here for a  minute?" Melissa ask.  I nod and stand up following her down the bleachers. "This isn't normal incident is it?" She ask cautiously.

"W-we've got it handled." I attempt assuring her. With a sigh and not another word she heads off towards Scott to talk to him.

Making my way back up the stands I resume my seat next to Sheriff Stilinski. "He's not awful right?" He ask me suddenly.

I grimace at the question. "I love him to death but... He's pretty awful."

"Ah I thought so to, I just wanted to make sure." He sighs.

"Hey sheriff can I ask you a question?" I ask looking out at Stiles struggling on the field.

"Yea sure. What is it?" He ask looking at me.

"Why did we let him sigh up to play?" I ask as he once again takes a hit.

The sheriff let out a chuckle. "I don't know. I guess we dropped the ball on this one didn't we."

"Oh yea."
