The next morning after I took the pregnancy test I made an appointment with the Doctor. My nerves were going crazy because while I would be extremely happy if I was pregnant, this was all happening really fast. Simon and I had only been together for four months and just moved into our own proper house together. Plus how would a pregnancy and parenthood affect my career. I was starting to get sick just thinking about everything which wasn't surprising because literally everything made me throw up. To clear my mind I tidied up around the house while I waited for Georgie and Simon to get home. Louie was at the vet for the day so with no one around I didn't know what to do with myself. It was quite lonely.

Later that night when Simon and I were laying in bed he turned to me and just starred. 'What?' I said trying not to laugh. 'You're going to be a great mom.' He said putting his hand on my stomach. I put my hand on top of his and leaned over to give him a kiss. 'I hope so.' He smiled back at me and we said our good nights. I could barely sleep just looking about my upcoming appointment and what the results would me. Around two in the morning I got out of bed and walked down the hall to Georgie's room. I opened the door and peaked in. She was sound asleep covered up by her pink and white blanket, holding one of her stuffed animals Simon and I have her for Christmas. Tears started filling my eyes and I wasn't quite sure why. After a few minutes I felt someone's hand touch my shoulder, I turned around and Simon was standing behind me. 'What are you doing, babe? It's late.' He asked. I leaned back into him and reached for his hand. 'I couldn't sleep.' I answered. He pulled me into a tight hug as we both leaned into the door frame. 'Do you really think we could do this? It's so soon and I'm just so scared.' By now I couldn't contain myself and was crying uncontrollably. Simon turned me to face him. 'Baby, look at me. What ever happens will be amazing. You know how I know you're going to be a great mom?' I shook my head. 'Because that little girl adores you. You treat her just like she was your own and her mom is always telling me how much she talks about you. You and me together are the best team.' He pulled me into him and I laid my head against his chest. I could hear his heart beating and for some reason it relaxed me. 'You're the best thing that ever happened to me.' I said as I placed a kiss on his lips. 'How about we go back to bed?' Simon took my hand and I followed him back into our bedroom.

After finally getting some sleep I woke up to the sun shinning through the windows and Louie curled up next to me. Right before I got out of bed I received a text on my phone. 'Me and Georgie went to get donuts. Be back soon, love you.' A smile covered my face. I got up and went into the bathroom to start getting ready. After taking a shower and fixing my hair, Simon and Georgie were home. 'Adele! I got you a present!' I heard Georgie yell. I put on my clothes and went into the kitchen. 'Look, look!' She said pointing to a plate full of different donuts and a big case of flowers. 'I picked them for you!' I tried really hard not to shed a tear. 'Oh wow, thank you so much baby girl. I love them.' I said as I kneeled down and gave her a hug. 'I'm hungry. Can we eat now?' A silent laugh left my mouth. 'Of course we can. Which one do you want?' I asked pulling out three plates. 'Pink please.' Georgie said.

Once we finished eating my mum came over to watch Georgie so that Simon and I could leave. 'Be good, Georgie.' Simon told her as we said our goodbye. We got into the car and Simon drove. 'I'm so nervous.' I said tapping the side of the door. 'You'll be fine, Adele. I'll be right there.' He gave me a reassuring look and we listened to music the rest of the way there. We pulled into the parking lot and got out to make our way inside. After doing the sign ins and different tests the doctor finally came in. 'Adele, Simon nice to see you. Well, congratulations you're going to be parents!' Simon and I both looked at each other with smiles plastered across our faces. On the way out I couldn't help but call Laura and tell her. 'Hello.' She answered. 'Hi, aunt Laura.' I said. 'Oh my god you're pregnant!' She screamed. I could hear her and Daniel shouting and Simon and I started laughing. We hung up with Laura and then started to drive home. 'I can't wait to tell Georgie. Do you think she'll be excited?' I asked Simon. 'She's going to be thrilled.' He said. We got back home and immediately rushed inside. 'Georgie? We have a surprise for you.' Simon called out. She came running into the living room. 'What is it daddy?' She asked. He looked at me and smiled before reaching for my hand. 'Adele's going to have a baby so that means you're going to be a big sister!' Her eyes lit up and a giant smile took over her place. 'Yay! I get baby! I get a baby!' She yelled around the house. 'What's all this yelling about in here?' My mum said walking into the room. 'Adele's having a baby! Adele's having a baby!' My mum looked at my shocked and asked if it was true. Simon and I nodded and she ran up to hug us. 'My baby is having a baby. Wow! I'm going to be a grandma.'
