After we left Georgie's room I couldn't stop crying. Why had we not known what was happening at her mum's house? I just couldn't believe that this wonderful little girl was feeling so much pain and me nor Simon had any idea.

Simon kneeled down in front of Georgie. 'Baby, look at me. Can you tell me what happens at mum's house?' Georgie grew quiet and buried her face behind my arm. 'Georgie? Can you please tell daddy why you're so sad?' I asked her, moving my arm so I could wrap it around her. 'I'm scared. I don't want mummy to be mad at me.' My heart was breaking. 'She won't honey, I promise.' Simon told her. 'Mummy doesn't hug me anymore and Jack always says mean things to me when Otis cries. They make me stay in my room. I always say I'm sorry.' I couldn't hold back my tears any longer and was uncontrollably crying. Simon and I both embraced Georgie and started telling her how much we love her. 'I'll fix this, alright. Just go to bed and tomorrow the three of us will go do something fun. Sound good?' A big smile plastered across her face and we tucked her into bed. 'Daddy?' She said as we were walking out. 'Yes, babe?' Simon responded turning around. 'I want to stay here with you and Adele.' I looked at Simon and then back at Georgie. 'We'll do everything we can for you.' I told her before we left.

We knew we needed to talk with Carla as soon as possible to understand what was really going on. 'How could they do this to her, Simon? She's just a little girl and doesn't deserve any of that.' My blood was starting to boil and the more I thought about it the more anger I felt. 'I don't know Adele but I have no reason to not believe her and nobody is going to treat my daughter like that.' More than anything Simon was protective of his daughter and I knew how upset he was seeing her so sad. 'She's not going back there Adele. We're calling our lawyer in the morning and fixing this.'

Morning came and neither of us managed to get much sleep. All that was on our mind was protecting little Georgie. I rolled over on my side to face Simon. 'How are feeling babe?' I asked. 'I just want to make her happy.' He said as he got out of bed. 'You know what will make her happy right now? Chocolate chip pancakes!' I said as I jumped out of bed and raced Simon to the kitchen. As we started making breakfast Georgie made her way into the kitchen carrying a blanket and her stuffed bunny. 'Morning baby girl.' As she ran to me for a hug. 'How about some special pancakes?' Simon asked. 'Yummy!!' She screamed as she jumped up and down in circles.
Simon and I finished getting breakfast ready and then we all sat down at the table to eat. 'So babe what do you want to do today?' I asked Georgie as she stuffed pancakes into her mouth. 'Park! And shopping! Lots of shopping!' She said with her mouth full. I couldn't help but laugh at how excited she was to spend the day with us. This was definitely a complete opposite of the little girl we saw last night. After breakfast was finished Georgie ran upstairs to get ready. 'I'm going to go call the lawyer and see what our options are and then I think we should call Carla.' Simon said as he put the last of the dishes into the dishwasher. 'Okay sounds good. How about Georgie and I will go ahead and leave and then when you get finished you can join us.' I walked closer to him. 'Okay.' He said. I grabbed his hands and wrapped them around me. 'You're an amazing father Simon and I love you more and more for it.' I kissed the side of his face and then started walking towards the stairs. 'I love you more baby girl.' He called after me. I couldn't help but blush.

Once Georgie and I were ready Liam, our security guard, drove us to the park and luckily for us it wasn't crowded. One of the plus sides of being out of the spotlight so much is that I didn't get recognised as easily. We spent a couple of hours playing before the three of us decided we would go get so lunch at our favourite little bakery that was around the corner. When we got into the car Simon texted me saying he was about to call Carla and he would let me know what happened when we saw us.

My hands were starting to get sweaty thinking about the conversation I was about to have with my ex and the mother and one of my children. But as the phone started ringing I started to get angry at the thought of my little girl not being happy. Earlier when I talked to my lawyer he said that the best thing was to keep Georgie's best interest at heart and that if we felt that she was in danger than the best thing for her was to stay with us. He also said that he would file an emergency hearing to give us full custody and permanently let Georgie live with us. 'Hello.' A female's voice answered. 'Carla? It's Simon.' I tried my best not to immediately go off when I heard her voice. 'Hi, Simon. Is Georgie okay?' She asked. 'That's what we need to talk about. Adele and I are really concerned after she told us some things about your house last night.' I tried remaining calm. 'What do you mean? What did you say this time?' Carla didn't sound like a concerned mother at all. 'Well, she said that you and Jack aren't treating her right since you had your baby. And that you make her stay in her room. She told us more and I have no reason not to believe her.' I could hear Carla's breathing become angrier. 'Just wait till you have your new baby. Georgie will run and say the same thing about your house. She's just a dumb little child.' My heart was racing and I was about to explode. 'No, Carla. She isn't some dumb child. She's hurting and all she wants is to be loved and happy. I've called my lawyer and she's staying with us. I'll see you in court.' I was about to hang up when Carla responded. 'Good luck. You can keep her for all I care.' Anger completely overtook me. 'Screw you.' I said right before hanging up.
