Days turned into weeks, weeks turned to months and still no Georgie. Each day that past where she didn't come home felt like we would never get any answers. It had been three months now and our lives were slowly falling apart. Angelo was changing every day and he started looking more and more like Georgie. Simon was doing his best to have hope that she would be home one day but it was getting so bad that he would go a week sometimes without leaving the bed. I was lost because I didn't know how to help him. After Kate was released from the hospital she moved in with us along with my mum. The nights were the worst because I couldn't sleep and always ended up starring at Angelo making sure he was okay. The night terrors that Simon and I experienced were getting so bad that we hired four addition security members, had bullet proof windows put in, and at least four to six security cameras in each room. It was out of control but we didn't feel safe and the last thing we wanted was to lose Angelo as well.

I shot awake from a dead sleep to my cell phone ringing and as I reached over to pick it up I saw who was calling. 'Officer Wilde' it read and my stomach dropped. 'Hello' I whispered trying not to wake Simon. 'Adele? Officer Wilde. I know it's late but there's been a new lead in the case. Can I come over? I don't think it can wait.' The knots in my stomach grew and I couldn't help but have a bad feeling. As soon as I hung up I shook Simon to wake him up. 'Simon get up! Hurry somethings happened in the case and Wilde is on his way.' In the last three months I hadn't seen him move as fast as he did right then. We both rushed downstairs and waiting in the foyer pacing back and forth trying to calm our nerves. Finally the door bell rang. 'Officer.' Simon said as he opened the door. 'I know it's late and I hate to wake you both up but I have news.' He said staring at us both. 'I think it's best if we have a seat.' We followed him into our living room and sat on the couch while he sat on the chair opposite of us. 'There was a child found abandon a few hours ago that was taken to the hospital about eight hours away. The description fits just about perfect to Georgie's but we need both of you to come and identify her.' Simon reached for my hand and squeezed it tightly. 'I do want to worn you that if this is indeed your daughter you should know that she is in incredibly bad shape. Frankly it's a miracle that she is still breathing even with help from some machines.' I looked at Simon and then back at Officer Wilde and I knew that we didn't have long. 'We'll go.' I said not even thinking about it for a single second. 'We'll leave right now if we have too. I feel completely safe leaving the baby here and if there is even a chance that we can bring our daughter home we will take it.' Officer Wilde nodded and stood up. 'It'll take about 30mins to get to the plane so I can give you about 5mins to pack and then we need to leave.' Simon and I both rushed upstairs and threw whatever we could into two duffle bags. We kissed Angelo goodbye and then rushed outside to the police car that was waiting on us.

On the drive to the plane no words were spoken, only the slight sounds of our crying could be heard. 'I'm so scared.' I whispered to Simon as we were taking off. 'I'm so bloody scared.' He whispered back. The rest of the flight I had my head on his shoulder as he starred out the window. When we landed there was a ten car police escort to the hospital where we were then taken to a secure section of the ICU. Besides a few doctors and nurses the area was swarming with police. 'What's going on?' I finally asked. 'We're still looking for Clara's husband so we want to keep your daughter as safe as possible.' Simon's face filled with anger and rage. 'What the hell do you mean you're still looking for him? Where is he? He's out there somewhere and my daughter is laying in a hospital bed covered with machines and tubes because of what he's done.' I tried to get Simon to calm down but he wouldn't. 'Sir, we're doing everything we can to find him and I assure you we will. Now would you like to go and see your daughter.' He gestured us towards the room and we slowly walked through it's sliding doors. I froze and couldn't move anymore. The feeling you get when you see you child like this was like no other. I physically felt my heart being ripped out of my chest. 'Oh my god. My baby. My beautiful baby. Daddy's here and mummy too. You need to wake up my darling. You need too, we need you too.' Simon said through bursting tears as he gently stroked her hand. 'Do you remember the first Christmas we had together? You were so excited because St. Nicholas brought you a pink and yellow bike and you rode it all through the house. Mum kept telling you to go outside but you said that you couldn't because you'd miss her too much even though she would have been right inside. We miss you now and need you to be here with us. Georgie Belle, please wake up.' Simon took her hand that he was holding and kissed it before barring his face in her arm. I sat across from him and gently placed her other hand in mine and sat there as silent tears aggressively streamed down my face. Just as I was about to get up and walk into the hallway to regroup Georgie squeezed my hand.
