Just my luck

6 - Dang Daniel

I like the art above my head. It's like a picture of a gold rose. I hear a foot step and turn around. Gabe leans in and presses his lips to mine. So hard it hurts. I try to push him off me but he's too strong. I tried to kick him but he pushes me against the brick wall.
He pushes harder. It hurts. I try as hard as I can to push him off me but nothing works. My eyes are open. His are closed. I try to close my mouth but he keeps it open. This whole time I've been trying to push his chest away from me. The next thing I know I see a fist and Gabe it on the ground.
He runs off. My vision is fuzzy and I can't see a thing. Someone puts their hands on my shoulders. I can't see who it is. Their mouth is moving. I hear my name being called.

I can't figure out who it is. I rub my eyes. My vision slowly gets better. After it is normal, I look in front of me. Daniel. I blink really hard. "Daniel?" I groan.
"Yeh?" I hear his soothing voice as well as some other footsteps. I look over to see Taya, Skyla, Shawn and Cameron. They walk back around the corner where I can't see them.

"You ok?" He says. I turn my head back around. I nod.
"Why did you date him?" He says softly. I decide to tell him the truth.
"I knew you would never fall for me so I tried to get you off my mind..." I whisper.
"I fell for you when I first saw you at the concert." I-I-I don't know what to say. My eyes widen at what he just said.
"Cam and Shawn asked the other girls out, you didn't ask me?" I mumble trying not to be rude.
"I thought you were out of my league and I was scared you were gonna say no." I'm shocked.
"It's ok." He gently presses his lips to mine trying not to hurt me from before. I guess I kiss him back.

He pulls back I look down and blush. He steps a bit back and shoves his hands in his pocket. I lean against the wall. I start walking over to where everyone else went. I go round the corner with Daniel following me. The first this I see is Taya on her tip pie toes being pushed against the wall by Shawn who looks like he is enjoying kissing her. I burst out laughing but the ignore me. I put my hand on my mouth to stop me laughing. He is going to get a sore back from leaning down that far. Only cause he is really tall and Taya is a little smaller than average. I walk over to Cam and Skyla.
"OMG! Are you ok?" She says giving me a hug.

I pull a funny face at Cam when she hugs me and he burst out laughing. She lets go and looks at him and then looks at me frowning. I try to hold on my giggles. Shawn and Taya come over. We all look at them. They have the most clueless face on the planet. It is hilarious. I'm trying so hard not to crack a suspicious smile to what Daniel and I just did.

I look at him. He has a straight face as if nothing ever happened.
"Dan, over here..." Cam says breaking the silence. He walks over where we can't hear them. Shawn put his arm around Taya.
"Awwwwww" Skyla and I both say
"Shut up!" Both Shawn and Taya say at the same time. Skyla and I look at each other.
"What did you and Daniel get up to over there?" Skyla says with a concerning eye.
"Nothing" I say. "He just asked if I was alright and stuff and he beat the hell out of Gabe."
"Mmmhhhmmm" she replies.

Cam and Dan come over and Cam has the biggest smile on his face. Dan told him didn't he. Dan was doing his cute smile again. With his hands in his pockets. I decide to be brave and I walk over to him. "Can I talk with you?" He continues walking a few more steps with me. I turn to him and breath out.
"What does this mean?" I ask quietly so no one hears us.
"What do you want it to mean?" He asks softly.
"Us." Crap crap crap. I'm not brave. This isn't working. I'm about to break.

His arms are around me and he puts my head on his chest. I let out another deep breath. He stands there. Not letting go. My arms are around his. His hugs are amazing. I want to stay in this moment forever. He lets go. It had to end sometime. Wait no it didn't. I look up at him. He holds my head in his hand and kisses me on the fore head. My knees go weak.

We are all in Shawn's car. It has 7 seats so we can all fit. Shawn and Taya sit in the front, Cam and Skyla in the middle and Daniel and I in the back. The whole way home He holds my hand. No one says anything. Shawn drops us girls off at Skyla's house. Daniel moves into the front while Cam stays in the middle.

We sit on Skyla's couch in her room. We make popcorn and turn the light off and all sit under a blanket on her couch and watch 'The Outfield'. I fell asleep halfway. When I woke up the movie was going through credits and Skyla and Taya were quietly talking. I poke Taya in the cheek and they turn to see me.
"Hey," I say rubbing my eyes.
"Have a good Nanna Nap?" They both say loudly.
