26- memories lost

Skyla's POV

I'm balling my eyes out while sitting in the passenger seat of Cam's car. He's crying but you can tell he's trying to stop since he's driving. Shawn went in the ambulance with Taya and Dan went with Amber. I hear Cameron's phone ding. I look up its from Daniel.
"Can I read it?" I say still crying. He looks at his phone then nods. I pick up his phone and put in his password. I guessed it ages ago. I look at the text and throw it at the windscreen. The phone didn't crack and neither did the windscreen. I shove my face in my hands and start crying even harder.

"What happened?" Cam puts his hand on my shoulder. I shake my head.
"Ambers gone too." I yell and continue crying. Cameron starts to speed. I don't look up. I just lost the two most important people to me in one night! Ahhhhhhhhhh. When we get to the hospital cam doesn't even park straight and we run as fast as we can to the reception.
"Amber Gregory and Taya Grey!" I say really fast. The lady can see them we are really upset so she doesn't say anything and looks up the rooms.
"They are in rooms next to each other in C42-43." She says calmly. Cam and I run down the corridor dodging people and beds. People look at us but I don't care we just keep running. When we get to the rooms we see ambers first and we run in.

Daniel looks up. His face is red and soaked with tears. Well, so is mine. Cam goes straight up to him and gives him a hug to reassure him. Then the doctor walks in looking at papers. He looks at us.
"I'm sorry." He says gently. We all burst into tears again. I can't look at Amber. It's scary.
"Let's go see Taya." Cam says putting his hand on my shoulder. Daniel stands up to come with us.
"It's ok Daniel. You can stay with Amber." I say turning around.
"No! I have to support Shawn." He says sternly. Amber would have thought that were cute. We walk into the next room. I look at Shawn. He looks happy. Then I look at Taya. She is breathing and smiling. She sees our faces and her smile drops immediately.

I run up to her giving her the biggest hug. "You were dead!" I yell.
"I passed out from the pain." She says softly. She looks at Daniel.
"Are you ok?" She says with a worried face.
"Amber..." Daniel mumbles with a shaky voice. Taya knows what he means and burst into tears. Then she gets up yelping with pain. Shawn puts his hand on her to stop her but Taya pushes it off and runs to Ambers room. We all follow her.

She runs up to Amber. Shawn's crying again. I have no tears left in my body. I look around for Daniel. I can't see him anywhere.
"Guys where's Daniel?!" I say concerned.
"I bet I know where he is." Shawn says speedily. He looks at cam and cam nods at him.
"You stay here, we'll go get him." Shawn says running out. Cam follows him.

Daniel's POV

I run as fast as I can. Down the hill and towards the park near my house. It's only like 7 minutes. My mind is blank and I have no tears left to shed. I'm broken. I get to the park and head for the tree. Shawn, Cam and I made a hidden tree house when we were 14. No body has seen it. It's hard to get up the tall tree in the dark. Eventually I get there and I slamm my fists on the ground.

Ambers gone. I lay down and look through the leaves at the stars. I remember the kiss she gave me in the ambulance. No. It hurts too much. Stop thinking about it. Ugh. I stare at the stars. They remind me of her eyes. I lay here for five minutes before I hear voices calling my name from the ground. I look over the edge still lying down.
"Come on man! Get down here!" Shawn yells, Cameron next to him.
"No!" I yell back and I lie back down.

Then I hear them come up the tree.
"Go away!" I yell. Yet they still come up. They lie down next to me but I ignore them. My cheeks are still red and soaked from my tears.
"We'll figure something out." Cam whispers breaking the silence.
"No! I'm done!" I release my temper. I want to be alone. Then I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I really don't want to look at it but it's too tempting. I pull out my phone. It's from Taya.
"Get here now! Something happened!"

I drop my phone and jump down the tree spraining my ankle. I don't care. I run back up the hill and I hear the boys behind me. I hope they grabbed my phone. They catch up to me after a while. When we get to the hospital, I don't stop. I just keep on running down the corridor dodging people and beds.

When I get there I swing open the door to ambers room. Skyla and Taya look happy. I stand taking deep breaths in and out, then the boys walk in behind me.
"What?" I say puffing to Taya. She points to Amber. The heart rate is beeping and she is breathing. I run up to her.
"Amber..."
"She's in like a sleep. It's kinda like a coma but not." Skyla says. "The doctors have never seen it before and isn't in anyone the records. Before she was actually in a come where no one can tell if she is dead or not. The doctors are writing down the results and taking tests."
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaah? She's alive! I let out a deep breath and hold ambers hand.
"She will wake up in the next couple of minuets." Taya says. I look at her. Peacefully sleeping. We all wait.

Then I feel ambers hand grip tighter to my hand. I look at her and she slowly opens her eyes. Everyone crowds around her bed. She sees me first and I smile. She doesn't smile back and pulls her hand away from me frowning. Then she looks to Taya and Skyla.
"OMG!" She says sitting up and hugging them. What's going on. She's acting like she's never met me before. Then Amber looks at us boys.
"OMG! It's Daniel Skye, Shawn and Cameron!" She squeals. "Oh my gosh, I love your work you guys are such amazing people." We all look at her frowning.

"Amber are you ok?" Taya says slowly.
"No Taya! I'm terrible! Daniel, Shawn and Cameron are in the same hospital room as me!" She yells being sarcastic.
"Don't you remember?" I say with tears in my eyes.
"Remember what? Oh my gosh, I just talked to Daniel!" She squeals again. My heart sinks. She got amnesia. Skyla, Taya, Shawn and Cam look at me. I clench my jaw trying not to freak out and I walk out of the room.

I speed walk straight to my car not dodging anyone. They get out of my way. I get to my car and smash my fists on the bonnet leaving a dint. I yell into the sky. First she was dead! Now she's alive and she can't remember me! Well, not as who I really am.
