Watching the few cars go past. The street light flashes and the trees sway in the wind. Little raindrops fall on my window. I have a race with the moving ones. I don't know why Skyla dumped Cam, he never did anything. I bet she didn't, she is just saying that. Like me kinda. I get a text from Shawn. "Are you up?" "Yeh" "When Taya listens can you tell her something for me?" "Sure, shoot" "I didn't kiss her back." "Sure I'll let her know, I don't know how long it will take for her to listen to me tho. She's upset because I told her not to go around the corner before she saw you." "I appreciate you trying" "I hope you get back together again. You were cute together." "Thx. I wake up the next day to a knock on the door downstairs. I hear dad answer it then I hear Daniels voice. After a while Daniel knocks on my door. I think I feel asleep again. "Yeh!?" I try to yell but mumble. Daniel comes in. I realise I'm in my pyjamas still sitting on the window chair thing. I move my neck. "Are!" I say quietly. "U alright?" "Yeh, I fell asleep here so my neck is sore." "Did you wanna get dressed? We wanna go soon." I stand up and grab some clothes out of my wardrobe and a towel. I chuck it in the bathroom. "You don't mind if I have a quick shower do you?" Daniel looks up from his phone and nods. I walk in the bathroom and have a shower. I have a habit of singing in the shower. I don't do it on purpose it just happens. By the time I turn the water off I realise I was singing one of Daniels songs. I hope he didn't hear that. I quickly dry myself with the towel and get dressed. It doesn't take long to blow dry and straighten my hair because I have short hair. I reckon all up that was 20 minuets.
Sorry I say walking out of the bathroom. "You can sing?!?" Daniel stands up sounding surprised. Crap! He here'd. "I sing but I'm terrible at it." I say looking down. "Your amazing!" "I'm not I'm really not!" I shake my head. "You sang my song" "It happens naturally, I can't control it" I say. "Come on." He grabs my hand and we walk down the stairs and into the kitchen. Dad throws me and apple and we walk out the door. We get in Cameron's car. "Hey" I say. They don't look happy. The whole way we are quiet. When Cameron stops the car I break the silence. "I don't know what going on." "It's alright" Cameron says opening his door. We all get out. "Amber can sing!" Daniel says out of the blue. I give him a death stare. "Really?!" Both Shawn and Cam say at the same time. "No..." I say trying to sound convincing. "She can" Daniel says smiling. "She's amazing." "I'm really not." I look down. "Sing for us." I look at Shawn. "Are you Crazy?! I only sing in the shower!" "Then how does Daniel know?" Cam says laughing. My hand hits my head and Daniel explains everything. "I'm not convinced" Cam says. Then I see Skyla and Taya. I quickly push the guys onto the ground behind Cam's car. "Shut up!" I say. I slowly poke my head over to see if they are still there. They are walking still. "What's going on?" Daniel whispers. I put my hand to his mouth. "Taya and Skyla. They think I'm going on a family outing." I whisper as quiet as I can. Daniel takes my hand of his mouth and tries to look. "They are gone." He says. We all stand up. "They are meant to be going go carting!" I say quietly. We all sit on the beach and Shawn tells us about his ex and basically what he told me last night. Then Cam starts saying about how Skyla said 'she's breaking up with him, wink-wink.' "That means she isn't actually." I say. Shawns face drops and Cam's lifts a bit. We all feel sorry for Shawn. "I'll talk to her." I say putting my hand on his shoulder. He smiles at me. "Can you sing for us? It'll make me feel better..." He says. I frown. "I-I I can-" "Please?" "What song do I sing then." "What did Daniel hear you sing?" "Maybe." "Sing that then." Sometimes I hate Shawn. As a joke. I smirk and start singing. I only sing the first verse. "Sing more!" Cam says. "No!" I say sternly. "Please?" I give in and Finnish the song. They all start clapping at the end of it. I stuff my face in my hands then flop on my back in the sand. Then I realise Daniel videoed the whole thing and put it on vine. I snatch his phone out of his hands and look at the comments. 'Wow, who is that?!' 'She's so good?' 'She's so pretty' and 'she's a show off.' Daniel snatches his phone back. "Are you ok?" "Why did you that?" "People need to know your talent." "There's already enough in the world!" I say gesturing to all three guys. Daniel gives me puppy dog eyes. I hate it when he does that.
Then I get a text from Taya. "How are you?" "Yeh fine, u?" "Upset" "Can I talk to you" "About what?" "I was talking to Shawn" "You were talking to Shawn?!" "He said that was his ex and he was about to push her away when we came and he also said that he didn't kiss her back. Taya, he is devastated." "..." "I just told her." I say looking at Shawn. His phone dings. A smile runs on his face. He shows it to us all. It's from Taya. "I'm sorry. I overreacted. What I saw was convincing and I was to upset to listen to anyone. Amber told me what you said and I am so sorry Shawn. I still want you. Could you forgive me?" "Awwww" we all say. It's says that Shawn sent saying that 'I know Amber told you, she is right next to me.' Then he gets a text back. "I know, turn around." We turn around to see Taya and Skyla. We all stand up. Skyla runs straight to Cam and puts her legs around his waist and hugs him. Shawn walks over to Taya. They start talking. Daniel looks to me.
"You didn't tell me you could sing." He says. "It's embarrassing..." I say looking down. "I sing in front of thousands of people." "But your an actual famous singer. I'm surprised you haven't got any paparazzi yet today." Taya walks over and throws her arms around me. I slowly pat her on the back one pat at a time. Awkwardly. "You alright there?" "I'm sorry" "For what?" She takes her arms off me. "Getting upset at you for not letting me see around the corner. I figured out why you didn't want me too. Thank you for trying though." She smiles.
