Part 5

I woke up feeling sick, I get out of bed and get dressed. I walk out of the room and over to the side of the ship. I lean over and throw up, when I stop I turn and sit on the floor. All the men were giving me weird looks, I see Cain come out of his room and looked around for me. When he saw me he walked over to me and knelt in front of me.

"What's wrong lass?" he asks. "Ya look pale."

"I've been getting sick for the past few days now. I-I think I'm pregnant." I say. I don't know how to feel about this. I don't know who the dad is. Is it Joshua or is it Cain? I have know idea. I hope it's Joshua's, if it is I would be happy with that.

"What makes ya think that lass?" he asks. I give him my 'really?' look.

"I've been craving different things, I've been having mood swings and I've been getting morning sickness for the past three days. So what does that tell you?" I say standing up. Cain's face lights up.

"Ya hear that lads? I'm gonna be a father. He or she is gonna be a pirate like their old man." says Cain.

"Ya gonna pick out names?" asks Samson.

"If it's a boy his name will be..."

"Shane." I say cutting off Cain. He gives me a weird look. "I've always wanted a little boy named Shane." I say.

"If it's a girl her name will be Rose. Named after me mother." he says. "Speakin' of her it's been a while since I seen her last. Vince set sail for Selsey." says Cain.

"Aye Captain." says Vince as he got behind the wheel. Cain turns back to me.
  "If y'er pregnant then no more pirate trainin' for ya." He says and leads me to  'our' room.

  We finally docked in Selsey. Cain leads me into a ruff looking town and to a little house. He opens the door and walks in, I follow him.
  "Mother?" Asks Cain.
  "In here dear." Comes a ladies voice from the kitchen. We walk in to see a lady with blonde hair wearing a gray dress washing dishes. She turns to us and smiles. "Hello Cain darling. Who is this?"
  "This is my wife Esmeralda. Esmeralda this is my mother, Roseanne." Says Cain introducing us.
  "Its nice to meet you Roseanne."
  "Oh please call me Rose dear. So you and my Cain are married?" She asks.
  "Well it was forced, but I guess so." I say. She sighs.
  "Cain are you taking after your father?"
  "It was the only way for me to have her." He says crossing his arms. She looks at me.
  "Its okay sweetie Cain's father kidnapped me and forced me to be his wife  as well., but Cain is a sweetie under all that stuffiness." Says Rose.
  "I came to tell you that Ezzy here is pregnant." Says Cain.
  "Oh my goodness. I'm gonna be a grandmother?" She asks.
  "Aye." Says Cain.
  "Sir?" Comes Edwin's voice.
  "What is it lad?" Asks Cain.
  "Are ya coping to the tavern with the rest of us?" He asks.
  "Aye. I'll come back for ya lass." Says Cain kissing the top of my head. Cain leaves with Edwin and now its just me and Rose.
  "Alright I know your real name isn't Eameralda and that that baby isn't Cain's." Says Rose.
  "W-what? How?"
  "I've been in your shoes before sweetie. Time to spill it. You can trust me not to tell Cain." She says. I sigh.
  "My real name is Desiree Finnegan and I'm pretty sure that the baby belongs to my actual husband Joshua. We were trying to start a family weeks before I got kidnapped." I say. Rose nods and leads me into the living room as we continue to talk.
