Killian Jones

Part 21

  BANG!

  I hear Killian's gun go off, I open my eyes and stare at the ground for a bit. I looked up and saw Killian's gun was still smoking from the shot he had taken. I smiled. I knew he'd make the right choice. Trevor let go of my arm and put his gun away.

 "You're wound was on the wrong leg and I also knew that you wouldn't try and to convince me that you were the real one." says Killian.

  "Good. I was counting on you to make the right choice." I say.

  "Let's keep going." says Killian pulling out the map. "To the right you will have no sight. To get away with theft you must go left." Killian reads aloud.

  "I guess that means we go left then." says Trevor.

  "Aye." says Killian putting away the map. Killian wraps his arm around my waist and helps me through the tunnel. A few minutes later we walk into an opening and stop, there was a ship stranded in the middle. I look to the right and see what looks be an old collapsed entrance to the cave.

  "The entrance must have caved in or Jaqueline wanted to hide her ship here along with her treasure." says Killian.

  "If I wanted to protect my treasure this is how I'd do it. Hide my ship along with it." I say.

  "Of course you would. It's the best way to make sure it's never found." says Killian. We walk over to the ship and climb on board. Killian and Trevor help me up though.

  "You know my leg isn't that bad anymore you to. I can still walk and do things by myself." I say.

  "We're not chancing it." says Trevor. I roll my eyes and stop trying. Killian walks over to the captains quarters and opens the door.

  "Well looks like Jacqueline didn't hide her treasure very well. It's in here." says Killian. I limp over and see the there's a chest sitting against the back wall. Something feels off though, like this is another trap.

  "Wait... before you go in there and open that let me look around." I say pushing past Killian, he starts asking questions but I ignore them. I'm trying to get into Jacqueline's mind set, if I were going to hide my loot where would I hide it. I would put out a fake chest and hide the real one under the floor boards. I start using the toe of my boot to push down on the floor boards.

  "What are you doing?" asks Killian.

  "Jacqueline it too smart to leave her treasure out in the open like that. She hid it under the floor boards." I say as I find a loose floor board. I kneel down and move the board. I see the chest.

  "How..." started Trevor.

  "Don't question it. Good thinking love." says Killian as he kneels down beside of me. We remove a couple more boards, Killian and I pull the chest up. There was a piece of paper tied to one of the handles. I untie it and open the paper and read it.

  "To whom ever has found my treasure... congrats. You've really earned it. I hope this will help you in the long run. I wont have any ill will against you, you followed my clues and got into my state of mind. And that is something that hasn't been easy to do. Only one person can understand me and that is why I'm leaving behind the life of piracy. I found the love of my life, I am marrying him soon and I am baring his child. I hope that you won't take this for granted, it's the only loot I'm willing to let anyone find. What? You thought I had just one lousy chest full? No I have a total of four... well three now. Take it and don't touch the trick chest it..." I read aloud. "The rest is smudged. I make out what it says." I say.

  "If that's the real treasure then what's in this chest?" asks Trevor. Killian and I turn to look at Trevor and see that he's got his hand on the lid and is going to open it.

  "Trevor no!" we yell, but it's too late he opens it and we heard a clicking sound. A ticking sound started a few seconds after.

  "Trevor you idiot! Come on we have to get out of here." says Killian. Trevor runs over and grabs a handle while Killian grabs the other. We run out of the room and off the ship just as the explosion happened knocking us down. We hit the ground hard making us groan in pain.

  "You alright Love?" asks Killian through the pain.

  "Yeah." I cough out. We all push ourselves up and turn around to see that the ship was completely destroyed. The debris that was left was on fire. Killian and I both look at Trevor.

  "Sorry..." he says as if he were a child that just got scolded. "... I..."

  "Trevor you could've gotten us all killed!" yelled Killian.

  "Killian it's okay. Calm down. We're not dead, and besides you could've gotten us killed of if it weren't for me looking at the map in the first place." I say.

  "He..." started Killian, but was interrupted by the ground rumbling.

  "What was that?" asks Trevor. It rumbled more.

  "The explosion must have caused the rocks to loosen more from the previous cave in. We have to get out of here." I say. We all stand up, Trevor grabs the handle of the chest.

  "What about you Love?" asks Killian.

  "I'll be fine Killian. Just go." I say sternly. He runs over and grabs the other handle of the chest.

  "Look... the explosion opened up the old entrance." said Trevor.

  "Let's go while it's still open." says Killian. We run towards the opening as the ceiling begins to cave in. Rocks begin sealing up the exit, which makes us run faster. We jump through just as the rocks come crashing down after us. I put my hands on my knees and tried to get air into my lungs.

  "How the hell did we end up back on the shore?" Asks Killian. Once I caught my breathe I stood straight up and say the Jolly Roger.

  "The tunnel's under ground must have curved around and brought us back out here. I mean that was Jacqueline's entrance where she hid her ship she had to have it hidden by moss and vines." I say as we see Smea bringing a life boat to get us. Once Smea reached us we loaded the chest onto the small boat and got on ourselves and went back to the Jolly Roger since the sun was setting. We get the chest on board and split it. I walk into mine and Killian's room and get ready to go to sleep. 

  I get laid down in bed and under the cover when Killian comes in and closes the door. He walks over and crawls on top of me and just hovers there. He smashes his lips into mine before I can say anything, but I don't hesitate to kiss back.

  A/n: Sorry for the late updates guys, but I have had a loved one pass away recently and it been hard on me and also my work schedule is weird. But I just wanted to say that I am still updating this it's going to be slow. So please be patient with me. But I have my best friends supporting me, you know who you are. But What did you think? Just so you know some adult rated things will be happening in the next chapter so... just be warned and I'll remind you guys in the beginning of the next chapter too so don't worry about that.
