Killian Jones

Part 15

  The next morning I woke up and felt an arm over top of me. I follow it until I saw Killian's sleeping face, did I mention that he was shirtless? I felt my face heat up, I couldn't look away. My heart raced and my mind went blank, I snapped back to reality when I heard Killian chuckling.

  "Like what ya see?" he asks. I sit up and turn my head away from him.

  "Pft you wish." I say. He chuckles again and get out of the bed.

  "I saw you staring Desi, don't try to hide it." he says, I know he's got that smirk of his. I can hear it in his voice.

  "Wipe that smirk off your face before I do it for you." I say getting out of bed myself.

  "I have no idea what you're talking about." he says fixing his weapons belt. I grab mine and put it on.

  "Whatever." I say rolling my eyes. We walk out and I see that we are very far away from London.

  "I'm gonna go take the wheel from Ricky for a while and let the lad get some rest." says Killian.

  "Alright." I say, we walks away. I walk over to the crates the crew has stacked on the sides of the ship and climbed up and sat on them leaning back against one. I looked out into the horizon and was pulled into my own little world. I began thinking about Josh and about Killian.

  I knew I loved Joshua from the beginning, he was so sweet and he was a gentleman. As we got to know each other better I fell even more in love with him. We had so much in common, we talked about anything and everything, my heart hurt when we were apart.

  With Killian I have no idea how I feel. At first I thought he was like all the other pirates I've met, but now I know he's not. My heart was pounding out of my chest when I saw him shirtless, I mean I saw him like that before and it didn't affect me like that. Am I falling in love with Killian?  Why else would I feel like wrapping my arms around him and kissing him? But can my heart handle falling in love with another man?

  "Desiree." calls a voice snapping me out of my thoughts. I turn and look to see Ricky, he wore a red bandana to cover his head. He also had pretty blue eyes which makes me feel like I've seen them before. "Captain told me to tell ya that we've docked for a while. He has some one he has to talk to." 

  "Okay." I say. Ricky leaves quickly. Hmm... that was a little suspicious, I'll let it slide for now. I get off the boxes and walked over to Smee. "Hey Smee." I say making him look at me.

  "Yes?"

  "I'm going to find a tavern, tell Killian to come find me before we set sail." I say.

  "Alright." he says. I turn and walk down the gangplank and onto the docks. I walk around for a few minutes until I found the tavern. I walk in and sit by a man at the bar, he had a cloak with his hood up. The bar tinder looked at me.

  "What can I get ya miss?" he asked.

  "Rum. I say. The bar tinder nods and starts pouring my glass.

  "Desiree?" the man beside me asks. I turn and look at him my eyes widen.

  "Father? What are you doing here? I thought you were going to your friends house!" I whisper yell. The bar tinder slid the glass over to me, I caught it with my hand and turned back to father.

  "I am the short cut is through this small town."

  "Oh my Jesus." I sigh. "Am glad to see that you haven't been caught. I have something to ask you though."

  "What is it Darling?"

  "If you were born into a pirate family how did you become King?"

  "Well when I was ten my parents ship crashed during a bad storm. I washed up near the docks in London hanging onto a piece of wood from the wreckage. The Queen at the time couldn't bare any children so she and the King took me in and raised me as their own. Soon everyone had forgotten that I came from pirates, but it took a very long time for them to accept me for me." he says taking a swig of whatever drink he had.

  "Wow. Grandma must have seen something very special in you if she took you in like that." I say taking a swig of rum.

  "Yeah. She stood up for me when any of the towns people were being hard on me." he says. We sit in silence for a few minutes drinking our alcohol. I had one more question that has been bugging me, but I don't know if I should ask. "Darling I know you have another question you're dying to ask. Go ahead and ask. I won't lie to you. I want this out of the way so I don't have to keep this a secret from you anymore." he says. I sigh hating how much he knows me.

  "Did mom know? About you being a pirate?" I ask looking at him. He smiles and looks at the counter.

  "Yes she did. She the first girl to ask me about what being a pirate was like, she was so interested it pirates. We used to have secret hiding spots were we would go and talk about pirates and how some of them are really cool and how some of them were really mean. That's when I knew I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life." he says. I look at my glass and smile.

  "That's wonderful father." I say.

  "So I have a question for you now." I look at father again with a smile.

  "What?" I ask.

  "What's going on between you and that pirate friend of yours?" he asks.
