BOOM
I sit straight up in bed with my heart beating in my chest. I look around, but I don't see Killian anywhere. Another crack of thunder can be heard followed by lightning. I stand up and put on my weapons belt, I walk out to see it pouring rain. I hear Killian giving orders and see everyone running around trying to get things done. I go and stand beside Killian.
"Ah I see your awake." he says smiling at me.
"Yeah, almost had a bloody heart attack though." I say earning a laugh from him.
"The storm awake you?" he asks.
"Yeah." I say watching his men run around looking like chickens with their heads cut off.
"Red coats coming off the starboard side Captain!" called out of the men.
"Prepare to fight lads!" Killian ordered. He looked at me. "Can you fight in the rain?"
"I'll be fine." I say as the King's ship get as close to us as it can. I see red coats boarding our ship and Killian's men boarding their ship. I walk down and pull out my sword. Three of the red coats look at me and laugh. The first one attacks me, but I block it. I swing at him and he blocks my hit. We fight back and forth like this for about a minute before one them to join in.
"Two against one isn't fair boys." I say.
"Well you're good... for a woman that is." says the first one.
"Desiree!" calls one of Killian's men. I look back at him and he tosses me another sword. I turn back to the men and start fighting them again. I kill the first one by stabbing him, I kill the second one by slashing him and pushing him over board. I turn to the third one, he swings at me, but I block his attack. I go to attack him, but he knocks the sword in my right hand away. I switch the other sword into my right hand.
"What's a pretty young thing like you doing with men like this?" asks the man.
"That's none of your business now is it?" I ask knocking him to the ground by the side of the ship. I point my sword at him. "Any last words?" I ask. The man searches in his pocket and pulls out a piece of parchment paper and hold it out to me.
"I was told to give to a women who was described to look like you." he says. I take the paper cautiously and put it in my pocket.
"Don't take this personally, it's just a have too kinda thing. It's part of who I am." I say as I kill him. The rest of Killian's men kill the remaining red coats, I walk into mine and Killian's room and close the door. I pull out the parchment and open it.
Dear Desi,
I have made it back to London. I've been trying to round up men to aid me in coming to get you, but no one seemed to care. So I turned to the only man I know who could help me... your father. I hate to have to tell you this news in a letter that probably won't get to you very fast. Desi your father has become very ill. He wishes to see you, I don't know how long he has left. Desi, please if you get this and are reading it now... come back to London and see your father.
Yours truly,
Laurence Whitman
I drop the paper and fall to my knees. I cover my mouth with my hands as I cry silently. I can't lose father too, I have to go see him. Laurence wrote an address at the bottom of the page. I wipe my tears away, grab the paper and stand up. I walk over to Killian's desk, I lay the paper down and pick up the quill and dip it in the ink. I roll up my sleeve and write the address on my arm. I put the quill back in the ink bottle and blow on my arm until the ink is dried, once it was dry I rolled my sleeve back down and ripped up the paper.
