Killian Jones

Part 10

  Soon the sun had set behind the horizon, I feel a hand on my shoulder. The same hand that belongs to the man who killed my kidnapper. Killian. I continue to stare out at sea.

  "Are you coming to bed?" he asks. I nod my head and follow him to his room. He closes the door behind us, I take off my weapons belt and lay it on the floor by the end of the bed. Killian does the same and he removes his hook and lays it on his desk. I crawl into the bed and face the wall. I feel the bed sink as Killian sits down. "I over heard something that red coat said to ya."

  "What did you hear?" I ask trying to see if I had to explain myself to him yet.

  "He said that he promised someone that he'd take care of ya. I didn't catch who he said told 'em to, but I was wonderin' why he cares so much for ya." he says. I mentally sigh.

  "I knew him for a few years and he's like my brother. He just wants me to be safe." I say. He just hums as a response. I just don't have the heart to tell him everything yet. Soon I fell asleep.

                    ~Dream land~

  I was walking through a palace, it was like a giant labyrinth. I could hear a child's laughter along with a young man's. I followed the laughing down to the end of a long hallway. I open the last door on the right and poked my head inside. I gasped at the sight before me.

  I saw Joshua and Shane sitting in the floor playing with blocks. Joshua looks up at me and smiles. I feel tears building up in my eyes, I cover my mouth with my hands. Joshua waves me over, I walk in and sit on my knees beside Joshua. I take one of my hands and cup Joshua's cheek.

  "I love you Desi." he says. 

  "I love you too Joshua." I say as a tear slips out. Joshua wipes it away.

  "Mommy." says Shane and climbs into my lap and hugs me. I hug him close to me and begin crying tears of joy, Joshua pulls both Shane and I into a hug. I kiss the top of Shane's head, then I turn and kiss Joshua.

  The next thing I know I'm standing in the street where Josh died. I look around and finally spot Josh, I start running to him. Before I reach him I see the tip of a sword sticking out of his stomach.

  "No! Josh!" I run to him as he fall to the ground. As soon as I reach him the scenery changes to the docks where Shane was killed. I see Shane instantly and I run to him. I wrap my arms around him and cry as I hold him. "Oh baby." I cry. I pull away and notice that he has a bullet hole in his chest. "No." I whisper.

  "Mommy..." he whimpers as he falls to the ground. I fall to my knees and pull his body close to mine. I cry, I let all my sadness out as I cry my heart out. My loving husband and my baby boy are gone. I lost everything dear to me. I gently kiss Shane's forehead as I cried.

  "Mommy loves you." I said through the sobbing.

                  ~Dream land over~

  I felt someone shaking me I open my eyes and see that it was Killian who was shaking me. I felt tears running down my cheeks and soaking the pillow. I wipe away the tears as Killian pulls me into a hug, making me want to cry.

  "It's alright. Go ahead and let it out. I know ya what to." he whispers to me as tears well-up in my eyes again. I wrap my arms around him and cry into his chest. He rubs my back to comfort me. "That's it."

  "It hurts.." I sobbed.

  "I know it does. It's okay." he says as I feel sleepy again. Soon I feel asleep again. The next time I woke up I had my head on Killian's bare chest. I sat up quickly and looked at him, he had a smug look and a smirk.

  "Wipe that look off your face Jones." I say turning to look away from him.

  "What? I had a beautiful woman in my arms." he says. I can feel my face heat up.

  "Whatever, just put on a shirt would ya?" I ask. He chuckles. I feel the bed move as he got up to grab his shirt. "Alright I got a shirt on now." he says I look at him. "Better?"

  "Much." I say getting out of bed myself.

  "So do ya mind telling me why you were crying last night in y'er sleep?" he asks as I'm putting my weapons belt on. I turn away from him and put my coat on and fix my hair.

  "I... don't want to talk about it." I say.

  "Well I ain't gonna push it, but if ya ever want to talk I'm here to listen." he says. I nod my head. "We'll be docking soon. I have some business to take care of. You can go walk around and I'll come find you later."

  "Alright." I say and walk out of the room. I walk over to the railing and watch the water splash up onto the side of the ship. I think about the dream I had last night and begin to wonder if Shane and Joshua are looking over me together. I hope so. I sigh. I hear someone giving orders and the ship slowly coming to a stop.

  "Lower the gangplank!' Ordered one of the men. I turn around and see that Killian is the first to walk onto the dock. I walk over and walk down the gangplank and onto the docks. I walk around for a while and find a tavern. I walk in and take a seat in the corner. A waitress come over.

  "What can I get ya ma'am?" she asks.

  "A bottle of rum." I say.

  "Coming right up." she says and walks away. I look around at all the men and women in here, mostly all drunk already. I shake my head and look at the table. 

  "Anyone sitting here?" asks a man.

  "No." I say as he sits in front of me. I look up at the man. He is wearing a black trench coat and black hat. The waitress comes by and hands me my bottle of rum then asks the man if he wanted anything, but he declined. The waitress left and I took a big swig of rum.

  "I didn't know you were a drinker." says the man, I look at the man closely and notice that it was Laurence.

  "Laurence? What are you doing here?" I whisper ask just in case any of Killian's men followed me.

  "I'm trying to get back to London, but I saw you walk in here by yourself. Desi, we can go back together. Please I promise we can make things better." he pleads.

  "Laurence I told you I can't go back. I'm a pirate now. They will never look at me the same. I have no life to go back to. They have another King and Queen. I wouldn't get my title as Queen back." I say taking another swig.

  "You can make another life. A good life. Find someone else you love."

  "Who would ever love me after what happened?" I ask taking another swig.

  "Me."
