"If I die tomorrow what will you do?" Ethan asked.
I slapped his arm making him wince. "If you don't stop with your nonsense talk, I'll kill you," I warned him.
I tore my gaze away from him when tears began to form. The thought of Ethan dying is terrifying. After my parents died in a car accident, Ethan was the only family I had left I can't imagine my life without him.
A pair of strong arms held me closer, I turned around, burying my face in his chest, and sobbed.
"Zee-bear, I'll never leave you. I can never do that. Don't cry." He cooed as his fingers slid into my hair.
"Don't y-you ever talk-k about d-dying?" I choked, tears streaming down my face.
"I promise. I won't ever speak of dying."
"I love you, Ethan."
"I love you more, zee-bear."
My tears didn't stop when I woke up. I cried until my glands gave up. After sobbing for what seemed like hours, I composed myself before climbing out of my bed and went into the washroom. I looked at my reflection in the mirror. My face looks drained and exhausted. My eyes no longer held the spark that was somehow noticed only by Ethan, my skin looks paler than ever, my lips seemed dried and parched and seems like a bird's nest as they stick out in a random direction. I look like a dead person who came out of a grave.
I took a long warm shower to feel better. And it did work. As soon as the warm water hit my skin, I felt all the fatigue and exhaustion going down the drain. The water felt so good but at some point, I had to leave. I turned the shower off and hopped out, quickly changing into my clothes I left my hair open to dry. I strutted out since my stomach grumbled in hunger. Before heading for the kitchen, I decided to check upon Zach.
