Zach's POV:
After Jamie and I barged into the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was Zelsa smiling at me. She seemed a little lost when we sat down to eat food. I squeezed her thigh to grab her attention but she flinched at my touch so I quickly removed my hand.
"Are you okay?" I asked her, concern lacing my voice.
"Yeah, just zoned."
I didn't buy it but decided to drop the topic. Maybe she's thinking about Ethan. She always thinks about him and then ends up crying.
Who the hell is Ethan?
This Ethan guy is a constantly messing up with my head. I don't know what sort of a relation Zelsa shared with him, but I really want to know. He is always on her mind. It's like everything she does reminds her of him.
Maybe they were best friends.
Or maybe they were friends with benefits
Or maybe he was his boyfriend.
I felt tiny fingers pulling my hand and bringing my attention back to the current situation, my eyes landed on the bright green orbs looking right into mine.
"The breakfast is here Zee." Jamie whispered.
"Lets eat then, buddy." I whispered back.
From the corner of my eye I saw Zelsa staring at the food tray. I snapped my fingers infront of her eyes to catch her attention.
"You know, the food will run away if you keep on staring at it like a creepster." My attempt at make her laugh earned an immediate eye roll.
We dug into the food as Gran stood with an amused expression plastered across her face. She loves feeding people and that's why she has this restaurant. To be honest, Gran and Jamie are the only family I have now. After the horrifying incident, I moved to Chicago with Gran and Jamie, he was just born back then.
"Get out of my house Jack!" she yelled.
"Shut the fuck up Valeria!" he spat making her flinch.
"Will you both just shut up? I'm tired with all your drama!" I yelled at their faces making them notice my presence.
"Look, who do we have here. The bloody drunkard has finally decided to show up." Jack spoke.
"Don't." She warned him.
"Don't? Or else what? Huh? What is he gonna do, huh?" He took a few steps towards her.
