Chapter 12 - The Door
By the time we got back home we were all dead tired. Even Brian, who was driving, parked the car in the driveway worse than a drunken person would. I looked up at Natalie and my house and gave a sigh of relief.
Damn, today was a long day.
Natalie and I said our goodbyes and trudged our way inside. I faintly heard Brenda calling out to us, but we ignored her and went up the stairs so slow, that even a slug could beat us.
Natalie bid me goodnight and I just raised my hand to her as a response. I went into my room and collapsed on the bed. Before my head hit the pillow, I was already into dreamland.

I woke up the next morning and felt like I was run over by a bus, trampled on by a hundred elephants, and fell down a cliff and ten stories.
My gosh, I don't even feel this bad during a hangover.
I stumbled out of bed and trudged into the shower. I made sure I was scrubbed clean enough and I turned off the water, and covered myself with a towel. I went in front of my mirror and it was so fogged up, I couldn't even see anything.
I looked around to see what I could wipe the mirror with, and I saw a new, clean towel. I contemplated on whether i should use it or not, and I decided I could. i mean, it's not like anyone really uses my bathroom. Usually when Melissa, Brian, Jacob, and Aiden come to sleep over, they have two rooms. One for Melissa, and one for the guys.
Although Jacob slips into Melissa's room when he thinks that everyone is sleeping.
Well Jacob. We got you fooled.
I wiped the window clean and was finally able to see myself. Let me just say, I only thought of one word when I saw myself.
Ew.
My brown hair, now wet from the shower cascaded down my face all the way to my middle back. My silver grey eyes stared back at me from the mirror, and they had bags under them. My face was a little pale and my nose had a tinge of red on the center.
All in all, I looked like shit.
I breathed through my nose and ran a hand through the tangled mess that people call hair and I walked out of my restroom and into my room. I walked over to my closet and I picked out a pair of denim shorts, and a black shirt.
I took my brush from my dresser and I started to brush my hair. The brush couldn't even go all the ay down because of all the tangles. I kept brushing and working on my hair to get the tangles out. I felt like giving up so many times, but I knew that it was best that i kept going.
I finally managed to get all the tangles out and I ran a hand through my now tangle-free hair. I breathed out a sigh of relief and I picked up my straightener. I looked at the clock and I saw it read 12:34.
Wow, either I slept for a long time, or I just took a long time in getting ready.
I shrugged and got to work on straightening my hair.
~
I put the straightener down and glared at my hair through the mirror. Damn, why must it take so long to work on my hair?
I got up and grabbed my phone. I checked to see if I got any messages, and of course, I didn't have any. I rolled my eyes and went to head downstairs to eat. My stomach was pissed at me because I haven't put any food in it yet.
