Chapter 19 - New Places

I felt myself starting to wake up before I even opened my eyes. The bed that I was lying on felt so comfortable, like a cloud. A soft and fluffy cloud. I smiled and let out a sound of satisfaction.

This bed is heaven.

I turned and snuggled up to the bed and I took a whiff of the woodsy scent that enveloped me. It smelled so good and manly, I couldn't help but sniff it some more.

Wait, a woodsy scent.

My eyes snapped open and I shot out of the bed. Where the hell am I? I looked around the room, only to see that I was by myself, no one else was in the room with me.

I started to think that maybe I was kidnapped again, but by the way the room looked, I was seriously starting to doubt that.

The walls were painted a black color and there was a flat screen TV located on the wall. There was a dresser with a ton of drawers which was most likely filled with clothes, and there were two mirrors. One full-length mirror so whoever owned this room can see their full body, and a mirror attached to a dresser.

Whoever lived here must've been loaded.

I tried to rack my brain, so I could remember what happened, but I came up with nothing. Zilch. Zero. Nada.

I groaned and flopped back onto the bed, otherwise known as a cloud. I closed my eyes, and grabbed a fistful of the blanket. I felt myself drifting off again, but I shook myself awake. I couldn't fall asleep. I had to find out where I am.

I hauled myself up and off of the bed, and I padded out of the room. I found myself in a long hallway. I looked to my right and left and I saw that there were doors on either side. I began walking down the hallway and when I reached the end of it, I turned right and was greeted with the sight of a staircase.

I heard chatter and some sizzling of something cooking. Whatever it was, it smelled delightful, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.

I licked my lips in anticipation and my stomach growled, letting me know that it wanted food in it, and it wanted some now.

I went down the stairs and when I reached the bottom, I saw that there were tow ways to go. Either my right, or left. I groaned. This place was like a damn maze! How in the world can someone live here and not get lost?

I went with my instincts and I chose my right. I walked and was greeted with another hallway, this time, it was even longer than the hallway upstairs. Well, maybe this isn't where the kitchen is.

I went back and went to the other choice that I didn't choose which was my left. I kept going until I found myself in the kitchen, with everyone in there.

There was Brian, Melissa, Jacob, Natalie, Aiden, and the handsome Italian man from before at the airport.

Everyone stopped their chit-chat and they focused all of their attention on me. "What?" I asked, suddenly growing self-conscious. "Oh nothing. It's just that we weren't expecting you to be up this early." Brian said.

"How're you feeling?" Natalie said, rushing over to me. "You had me so worried! You just randomly passed out with no warning!"

I smiled sheepishly in her arms. "Sorry. I didn't know I was going to pass out either. It just happened."

"Well gee Natalie." Aiden said. "Don't worry. The next time she passes out, she'll let you know by saying, 'I'm going to pass out now.' She totally has enough time to say that before the world goes black."
