Chapter 24|

Nova~

Kemo and I have been working hard to make things better with us. He's been talking to me; I've been talking to him. Maybe we can get through this.

We were in the middle of a family dinner, well except Kaden. His girlfriend is having a party. Kadence said she would prefer to stay home so I let her.

"How's the mashed potatoes? I think I used just a little too much salt." I said.

"It's great mom. Dad, can I ask you a question?" Kadence said.

"Yeah, what's up?" Kemo asked.

"Well, how many months is Brittany?"

"5 months." he said as he stuffed some chicken in his mouth.

"Oh. I hate her, Dad. I really do!" Kadence said quietly.

He sighed. "Don't say shit like that!"

"Why not?" I budged in.

"Well, because she's carrying her baby brother. She oughta no better than that. "

"I don't like her either. She a hoe. She sleeps with married men. I hope her baby turns out good though."

"What do you mean? You'll see my little man grow up so you know he'll turn out good."

I sighed. "Look, I'm not taking care of that baby. That's your baby! I didn't help you make that child! You cheated on me and you have a child. Your child not mines."

"Man, ok." He said.

"Don't get mad at my momma! She's just being honest! It's the truth!" Kadence exclaimed.

I sighed and listened to them go back and forth for a good five minutes. As I was about to make them end the argument, my phone started ringing. I got up quickly and left the room. I answered my phone.

"Nova!! Nova, Tykia she's in labor!" Zay exclaimed over the phone.

"What?! She's only five months!" I said.

"Yeah, well she's having a baby! She's having a baby. You got to come."

"Oh Gawd!! Ok I'm on my way." I said and hung up quickly.

I ran back into the dinning room where Kemo and Kadence were still arguing.

"Lets go! Kia's in labor and we have to get to the hospital."

They looked shocked but immediately got up.

I hope Tykia and her baby is okay.


Kaden~

I sat in my car feeling dumb. I can't believe I let a girl break my heart! I told myself I would never fall in love but now look at me. I'm in love with someone that's cheating on me?! Damn, I really want a explanation for why she doing this? Matter fact, I'm about to get my explanation. She gone explain to me what I was doing wrong. I know I been freaking her right when she lets me and I know I been showing my love for her so why she playing games.

I got out the car and walked back into the party. I couldn't find her at first but I figured she was in her room. I ran upstairs and knocked on her closed door. She opened immediately and I could see she'd been crying.

"What? I thought you left!" Kala exclaimed.

"Man, shut the fuck up!" I said and pushed the door open and closed it behind me. "Look, you cheating on me? I thought you liked when I freaked you but now you ain't even giving me a chance now."

"Is sex all our relationship about Kaden!"

"No, but damn a nigga need some once in awhile! You giving my shit up to somebody else?"

She sighed. "No,Kaden. Look we need to talk."

"What?"

"Ok, well don't be mad at me, okay?"

"What, man?" I yelled.

"My dad... He's been raping me, Kaden." She said as tears fell from her face.

I couldn't believe this shit. I met that man and thought he was cool as hell. I held her and hugged her as she cried.

"Where is he?" I asked softly.

"I don't know! I don't know, Kaden. He said he would be out of town for a few weeks."

"I'm going to kill him. I'm going to kill him Kala! Fuck. How many times has he done this to you?"

Se sighed. "Twice so far. He did it once the day after we had sex the first time and the second time was three days ago."

"Can I kill him? Can I fucking kill him, Kala? Damn, I really wanna hurt that man."

"Babe, just let it go. I feel much better since I told you what happened."

"Hell naw, man. Fuck that! That man deserve to die. Raping his own daughter and shit!"

"Baby, please let it go! Listen to me okay?"

I sighed. "Okay but you ain't staying here no more. Come with me home."

"I love you so much, Kaden! I really love you." She said.

"I love you more, bae."

"Can you stay the night with me?"

"Yeah, of course. When your dad come back you coming home with me, okay?"

She nodded. "Ok, baby."

She just don't know I would kill for her. I love her so much.

Tykia~

"Ahhhhhhh! It hurts!" I said.

Zay held my hand. "You'll be fine baby."

"Why is this happening? My baby is no where near due."

"I don't know baby but we gone be good, okay?"

A tear slipped from my eye and nodded.

"We need you to start pushing, ma'am. On the count of three, push. 1...2...3!"

"Ahhhhhh!" I said as I pushed.

I pushed at least ten more times and then my little baby came out. Zakia was tiny. She was nine inches long and only two pounds. The doctors didn't even let me hold her. They took her out I guess since she was so premature.

"It's all over now, baby! Zakia is going to be fine."

I nodded hoping he was sure. I want my baby to be fine.

Nakia~

I heard the news that my baby was in labor. Leah and I rushed to the hospital as fast as we could and by the time we got there she'd already had the baby. Her fiancé went to get her something to eat leaving just me, Kia, and Leah in the room.

"Kia can I spend the night over your house this weekend? I miss you so much."

She smiled. "Maybe next weekend, baby. I'm going to be really busy with my new baby, okay?"

Leah nodded and continued sucking on her lollipop.

"What you name her?" I asked.

"Uh, Zakia. Zharia and Zakia."

"Oh, so cute." I said.

Just then everyone came in. Zay, Kadence, Nova, and Kemo. I don't know where Kaden was.

"Where's Kaden?" I asked after greeting everyone with a hug.

"At his girlfriends party." She said to me and then looked a Tykia. "How you doing pretty girl?"

"I'm okay. I just wanna see my baby. Can't believe she came so early."

Kadence's nodded and showed her he phone. "See, it's all over the internet. How did these people find out that quickly?"

"Cause I'm Zaquans fiancé." Tykia said.

We all talked a few more minutes and then the doctors brought in Zakia. She was so tiny. She was in a incubator and the doctors said she was doing pretty good considering how early she'd come.

Tykia held her baby's hand for as long as she could. The doctors took her away after awhile and said she could see her tomorrow. She was a bit mad but she was just grateful her baby was alive.

Brisko~

Miana my baby mama is about 7 months. We've met up a couple times and she keeps telling me she going to need a place to stay once the baby come. She my baby momma so of course I'm going to let her stay at my place for awhile. I'm a independent man. I'm young, 17 but yeah I'm living in my own little condo. I'm doing pretty good.

"Thank you for letting me stay here. I really hope we can get along for the baby." Miana said.

"Yeah, we will." I said putting her suitcase down.

Miana was beautiful. Dark skin, long hair, clear skin. My type of woman but I did still have feelings for Kadence. I really missed her but I got to move on. Why not try with the mother of my baby?

"We should be a family. You be mines and see how this would work out." I said.

She smiled at me. "I guess we can see how it'll work out."
