Tick tock, on the went clock.
He stared at the door which he decided to unlock.
Both of them were tired after such a long walk,
But the door brought smiles by making a soft plock.
However, what came next was a terrified shock,
As the house was untidy, yet it had a great stock.

"I'm sorry for all the mess. It's been months since I last came to this place." Conor chuckled as he nervously turned on the lights and started fixing the cushions on the sofa, an action which showed he preferred a proper care taking of a house.

But Aria was overwhelmed by the fact that the apartment wasn't just an apartment which she was expecting to see. It was huge, it was posh and it was definitely of not her standards. She shivered as she looked at its furniture and its size but Conor had told her it was all to be hers for the next few months until she decided what to do with her life.

She was careful with each step of hers, scared that she might break something and then she would never be able to repay its price because everything was obviously more expensive than anything that she had ever owned.

"This is too much. I'm not sure if I can stay here, Conor. I feel so tiny and worthless just by being here." She mumbled before turning to face Conor who looked at her in a surprised manner.

But he gently smiled and made his way towards her. "Ari, trust me, your worth is more than anything that is present in this apartment. So sit back, relax and stop giving a shit about anything. If something breaks, don't worry. I will buy another one. Seriously, stop worrying. This is your apartment now." He raised his hand in which he held the keys. With his other hand, he grabbed Aria's hand and he dropped the keys into her hand, declaring her ownership of the place.

His words had an impact on her and slowly, a slight pleasant grin appeared on her vivacious little face.

"Pizza or sushi? What would you like to eat?" Conor flopped down on the sofa, little did he know that it was awfully late and no restaurant would be open.

"Nothing at all. I'm full." She yawned as she placed herself beside him.

He smiled and playfully ruffled her hair before making a comment about how much she reminded him of Anora, a comment which instantly delighted her soul and she made a comment about how caring he was. More comments came from both of them, many opinions were shared amongst them and before Aria realised it, her drowsy eyes could not remain open anymore and she hibernated quite quickly.

But she didn't just fall asleep on the sofa, she fell asleep in Conor's lap. The man just stared at her face as she softly breathed, her red plump lips slightly shaking as she slowly exhaled. The pure innocence was visible on her bright face, just like how it was always visible on Anora's face.

For a moment, he forgot that the girl in his lap was Aria and he assumed her to be Anora. He brushed his hand against her soft cheek, the flashback appearing before his eyes of the day when he felt the warmth of Anora's hand as he kissed it and caressed her delicate little fingers, which were now cold in her grave. He had loved her all along but he was afraid to admit it. It would have destroyed his public image.

With a heavy sigh, Conor stood up and brought a blanket for Aria with which he covered her petite body. He tried hard to leave but his heart would not let him. Thus, he sat down by her side until the sun had started to rise and each hour brought a new ray of the sun, which furthermore brought more shine to Aria's face.

"I failed you, Anora. I'm not a good hero. We met only a few times in our life but I could never tell you how much I had started to love you. I started loving you since the day I told you not to ever find me again, and the reason why I said that was because I was afraid to fall in love with you, but I couldn't help it. I'm sorry for not being there, I'm sorry for being a jerk, I'm so sorry for everything." He closed his eyes and laid down his head on Aria's shoulder, slowly drifting closer to sleep.

Then he heard a voice which said; "it's alright Conor. I still love you and you're still my hero."
