"Aria, hi darling." Erin entered the room with a smile which she was forced to pull on. From the inside, she knew that she was as much hurt as Conor.

She expected no reply from the miserable forlorn girl who lied down on the bed and truly, she received none. Aria stared blankly at the wall, her soul weakened and almost dead but her face would not cooperate with her inner feelings. She was completely blank.

"Baby girl, look over here." She grabbed her hand but Aria pulled it back instantly. "I won't hurt you."

"Aria is awake?" Conor entered the room and dashed towards Erin to take a look at Aria.

He saw her and his heart shattered but he knew it wasn't too late. He quickly grabbed her hand and this time she didn't pull it back. Instead, Aria turned her face to look at Conor and her face was finally starting to show some expressions.

He could not allow another tear to roll down her eyes so he mindlessly said his words. "Marry me, Aria. I will protect you."

Erin stepped back and gasped due the shock that hit her hard. "Conor are you insane? You're already married!"

"So what damn it!? I want to protect this girl! Please, Erin. For once, understand me. Just once. Get us married. Get a priest or something!" His eyes shone with anger and his defensive aura made it hard for Erin to say anything to him.

Like all his other slaves, she followed his command and made her way to the small chapel attached to the hospital. She brought a priest in no time and once they were all in the room, Erin moved away in the corner.

"Father, we want to get married. Right now, there is no time." Conor said in a voice which clearly highlighted his panic and the priest nodded.

He opened up the holy book which he held and took a deep breath before chanting the verses. Conor didn't listen to anything because he focused on Aria, who now smiled weakly, proving that what Conor was doing was in her favour and this made him calm down. He closed his eyes and kissed her hand gently, and soon enough, the priest was awaiting his answer.

"Conor, will you take-" he paused and glanced at the corner of the bed to read off the card containing patient's information and it actually helped him since he got to know her name "Aria to be your wife, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish her friendship and love her today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor her, laugh with her and cry with her? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?"

"I will." Conor replied in a husky yet a sweet voice.

The priest nodded and averted his gaze towards Aria. "Aria, will you take Conor to be your husband, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish his friendship and love him today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor him, laugh with him and cry with him? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?"

All eyes were on her. Erin's eyes more widened than the others because she wanted to hear a 'no' from Aria. Conor was ready to hear a 'yes' from her but he still feared for what was to come.

Her mouth slowly opened and she whispered the words "I do" weakly.

Erin couldn't handle her emotions, thus she ran out of the room. Meanwhile Conor smiled ever so widely.

"I now announce you, man and woman, husband and wife." With that, the priest closed his book and made his way out of the room.

He stared at her and she stared at him. Not once did he regret his decision and neither did she. What he had done was committed a sin but according to him, it wasn't a sin if he had done it to protect her.

Little did he know, his sister held him accountable for sinning, and she found it hard to forgive him. Even if he had married another girl, he had broken his true wife's heart.

"I won't tell Dee. She cannot know about this." Erin whispered to herself, sitting on a chair which was placed in the corner, whilst rubbing her head with her shivering hands.

Conor came out of the room and Erin gazed upon him as he walked into her direction, his face full of stress.

"Shame on you." She cried.

"I know you're angry. Go home and get some sleep."

"I don't want to see you or that little whore of yours ever again. Dee is your one true wife but I will never consider that witch-"

"Erin! Go home!" He shouted and caught everyone's attention but he could care less.

"I will. But you're no brother of mine." She sighed before standing up an turning to leave.
