Chapter 8 - New Plot

Ultra Magnus's P.O.V.

Grimlock and the other Dinobots led me and the others to the Hydrax Platuo just outside Kaok where a hidden tunnel is located. "This tunnel leads down to the camp." said Grimlock who was dragging Strika's unconscious body along the floor ok the way over.

"How much farther?" I asked. "Not too long, fortunately. We should arrive shortly."

"Lets go. Grimlock lead the way." said Bumblebee. The Dinobot leader hoisted Strika up in the air and placed her on his shoulder. "Lets move." Grimlock led the way through the tunnel, at first being almost completely pitch black, but at an intersection there were torches lit. "Fair warning, Insecticons can come through these parts sometimes." warned Swoop.

Arcee nodded. "Copy that."

"If they did decide to use this path, those bugs would have to get through all of us first," Bulkhead declared, smashing his fists together.

"Don't sound quite so tough. The Insecticons have been improving their tactics as of late. I guess you could say they are more deadly. A lot more." said Sludge. "How much further?" I asked. "Not far. Just beyond this tunnel." answered Grimlock.

We crept along the tunnel, blaster out and ready. Our cop tics continued to scan the areas in front and behind us, looking for any possible threat. There was a faint high pitched noise coming from behind. Wildstrike instantly turned around and faced his blaster in the direction of the sound. "What was that?!"

I had recognised the sound, having heard it far too many times before. My optics narrowed. "Insecticons," I declared.

"We need to move quickly. When it comes to Insecticons there are never just one." said Grimlock. We picked up our pace, though by increasing speed, we compromised our stealth. Quiet footfalls had turned louder, and the high pitched noises in the background continued to grow.

"Move it! Swoop, deploy the bait!" ordered Grimlock. "On it!" Swoop came to a halt and faced back to the direction of the noise. Optics glaring he caught the sight of the Insecticons. He transformed into his Dino mode and fired bombs and missiles at them.

We continued to run along the tunnel, hoping that Swoop had bought us enough time to escape.

"There it is!" said Slug. Straight ahead was a metal fortress with a huge front gate, towers at each corners, and a busy civilization inside. I looked up at the fortress. It looked strong and well-fortified, but we had to reach it.

"Zoom! Open the door!" yelled Grimlock. I looked up to see a purple and black Autobot in one of the towers next to the gate. "Get your afts in here!" He yelled. He opened the gate and we all bolted inside and he closed them just as Swoop eased right in at the last second.

"That was close," Bumblebee said breathlessly. "Right, there is utmost need for caution," I said. "Remain focused." "Sure thing, chief," Wheeljack said, drawing his swords.

"Zoom, give us a run by of the outside. See how many are out there." said Sludge. "Not a problem." said Zoom. In lightning speeds Zoom ran up and over the wall then was back in a nano click. "About 10. Just a small herd today."

"Easy," Bulkhead said. "We can do this."

I looked over at Grimlock. "We're ready."

"The barricades for the buildings are up Grimlock." said Zoom. "Then let them in." he ordered. Zoom speeded up the tower and pulled a switch. The doors opened slowly as the Insecticons scrambled to get in. "Is it always like this here?" asked Arcee. "Pretty much." answered Swoop.

The Insecticons buzzed loudly, wailing their familiar high-pitched noise. Everyone activated their weapons and ran forth to engage them. Energon blasters were soaring everywhere, swords clashed with metal wings, it was an all out brawl.
