"You need to get back on his good side. I can't have you blow this, Kanye. We are so close to taking him out." He hung up the phone without hearing a response.

Shawn, 7:39am.

Bey woke up before me and went out to get us something to eat.

My phone started ringing, it was Kanye.
I rolled my eyes. "Yo?"

"Where you at?" He asked.

"Nigga, why?"

"I'm looking out for you."

"I can look out for myself."

"You still mad about what I said?"

"I ain't tripping."

"Nigga, we brothers. I was just playing man, that's what brothers do."

"Yeah whatever." I hung up on him and Bey walked in.

"What's wrong with you?" She asked.

"It's Kanye, I started getting bad vibes from him. Something tells me I shouldn't trust him anymore."

"Go with your gut. I got you pancakes." She smiled bringing me a takeout container.

"Thank you, baby." I couldn't help but smile. Even at my low, Beyoncé finds a way to make me happy. Is this what love feels like?

"You're welcome." She grabbed her own takeout box before sitting on the other side of the bed. "How's your back?"

"It doesn't hurt as much."

"Good, I'll clean it and change the bandage when you're done."

"Aight." We made small talk while we finished eating and then Bey started cleaning my stitches.

"Thanks." I said when she was finished.

"Mhm." She pecked my lips and got up to wash her hands.

"Jay, get your phone." Bey said coming back in the room.

"Who is it?"

"Vanessa..." She said with one eyebrow up.

"Shit." I turned to get it but I turned too fast and hurt my back. "Agh!"

She chuckled and picked up my phone.
"Hello?... Yeah he right here... Why?... Oh really?... OH REALLY?"

She turned and gave me a look that could've killed me. "Yeah, I'll let him know you called." She said never breaking eye contact.

She tossed my phone on the nightstand. "So... Who's Vanessa?"

"Uh.. Um..."

"Uh.. Da da da. Speak."

"She ain't nobody."

"That's not what she told me on the phone."

"What did she tell you?"

"You know what y'all did. Why do I have to repeat it?"

"Because she's probably lying." I said nonchalantly.

"You don't even care- you know what..."
