Alex's POV
We stood there in silence as Damon glared at Alpha Mark. Clearly, he wasn't happy by Mark's response to my question as he waited for his. We all watched the two as if one movement could set anything off. It was tricky to be around two top males.
"One last time, Dog. Where's Princess?" Damon growled.
"I can't say. Willow's Queen won't allow it." He muttered back between his teeth.
"Did you just say that you can't? Because of some Queen? You're an Alpha for fuck's sake! You rule your own damn pack, Mark!" I shouted as Mark turned his attention towards me once again.
"Willow's my mate. Therefore, her Queen somewhat has to matter to me." He mumbled as a response.
"Very funny, Mark. But, she's your mate. You have the higher ranking. She's now Luna of your pack. She no longer owes her allegiance to her Queen but to her mate. Not the other way around." I informed him. "Now, where's Carly? I want the answer."
Mark looked around avoided our stares and even his pack was watching him weirdly. Looks like he never explained or she didn't tell him. This got me thinking of all of the possibilities.
"Stop it with the silence, Dog. She asked a question and she wants an answer." Damon ordered.
"What's going on, Alpha Mark?" Amanda asked as she sensed what I did. Even Dustin was questioning the Alpha.
"Who's this Queen? Why are you listening to her orders?" Dustin asked as Mark looked around as he continued not to look into our eyes.
After a long moment of silence and questioning glances, Alpha Mark opened is mouth as if to explain then he soon closed it in a hurry. His actions were just adding to my questions and my thoughts. What was he hiding?
"You know where she is. I need a location, Mark. I don't care if your so called mate said not to, but I will get that location." I said out loud. Everyone heard me and some were in shock. You never insult an Alpha's mate openly. At the moment, I couldn't care less.
"Watch your tongue, you-" Mark snarled until he got interrupted. Not one of the pack members dared to speak or move.
"Listen here, Dog. Your mate may have been insulted but I can't find mine. What you're doing could get you executed. Where is she?" Damon barked back furiously.
Both males were in some stare-off as they growled and snapped at each other. Amanda looked somewhat amused and I was also somewhat amused but it was wasting my time to find my friend.
"Boys, cool it. You're both Alpha males but it's not going to get us anywhere. We need the location of the Princess so that we can come back before a war brakes out. Every minute that you both waste with this silly showdown will mean more time for war to break out. Now, if you aren't going to help us, get out of our way." I ordered as I separated the two.
"Yes, Miss." They both said in union as Dustin laughed.
"So, Mark, will you tell us her location or will we find it ourselves?" I asked him while staring him in the eyes. He seemed to tense up a bit more.
"I can't tell it to you." He said slowly. I felt a burning heat towards him as the words came out. That was when a light bulb flashed in my brain. "But, I needed to say-"
"No. It's fine. You are of no use. Leave, you are no longer wanted here. I don't want to hear another word." I told him as we watched him leave without saying a word.
The crew seemed outraged by my words as I let him go. They clearly didn't know what I was about to do.
"Pick up your things and be quiet. We are going to follow them. Just, we can't make a sound or they'll hear us." I ordered as everyone did as they were told.
"That's insane. We could get ripped to shreds." Amanda said as she looked horrified as she thought about it.
"Plus, you missed what he wanted to say." Dustin commented.
"I know. But, we will see him soon and he can tell us then. Right now, we need to save the Princess and they won't rip us to shreds, Amanda, we'll be fine if they don't see us." I said as I started to walk towards the direction that I seen them go.
"She's right. Let's go." Damon agreed as he soon followed me and as did the others.
Soon enough, we were following Alpha Mark and his pack. They could probably smell us but from the amount of time we were on the ground or in the trees, our scents were masked. Except, with one small sound that could possibly set them off, we'd be done.
They continued on with their journey to Willow I'm assuming. I don't know who she is, but I know that she's his mate. What Queen were they talking about? It can't be one that we know. Or do we?
All thoughts stopped as they came to a stop. I could see his pack, himself and a smaller girl. She didn't look too old. What I found very weird was the fact that there was a glowing orb not too far off from the girl.
As I examined her, I could see that she wasn't a werewolf at all. More like a fairy which I haven't seen in a while since they never really bothered to socialize with us. This just got weirder. A fairy and a werewolf were holding a hybrid hostage for some Queen.
Instantly, I was not impressed at all. This orb thing might be holding her since he never mentioned a castle or anything else. Carly is trapped in a glowing ball. Great. How are we going to get her out of that. It could practically be impossible. Unless she got out herself which would be quite difficult.
"Carly's in the ball." Damon whispered.
"I know. How'd you know that?" I asked out of curiosity. We weren't going anywhere until we had a plan.
"I can sense her in there. She's in distress and she's in pain." Damon said as he held back a growl.
"Fairy Girl doesn't seem too bothered by it." I muttered.
Silence once again showed itself as we stopped speaking to watch the kidnappers. They seemed like they were waiting. Waiting for who? The Queen?
"Mark?" The Fairy Girl asked. I'm assuming she's Willow.
"Yes?" He responded as he looked back at her.
"She's almost done. We need to contact Queen Dorothea for the arrival."
