My dreams that night, we're all about Norman. They were good. We would talk, that's it, but I wouldn't have, had it any other way. Then in the last one, the girl from the day before came in and Norman left with her. I started to cry.
My alarm clock woke me up as I sat up and wiped real tears off my face. I sighed, this was rediculous! Nothing had happend. I fell in love with the idea of Norman. He called me pretty and it went to my head. I growled at myself as I went threw my morning rutine.
I drove to the set and mentally smacked myself for even thinking about Norman and I. It was dumb, I was dumb. As I headed to the make up trailor it started raining. I started to walk faster, trying not to get rained on.
"Hey!" Someone yelled behind me. I turned to see none other then the man I was trying so desperately to forget. I stopped and waited.
"Hey," I said horsely, he smiled.
"Morning!" Norman said, he was so happy.
"Morning," I smiled back it was contagious.
"I am really sorry about yesterday! Please let me make it up to ya," Norman said looking up at the sky. Then he placed his hand on the small of my back and motioned me to start walking with him. I blushed. I couldn't help it.
"It's fine really," I tried to stop blushing which made me blush more. He smiled at me as we made it in side.
"No, I invited ya to lunch. Then blew ya off, that was rude. Let me make it up to you," he said. We had made it in side but he hadn't moved hs hand off my back. I smiled.
"Alright," I agreed, under his gaze it was impossible to tell him no. He smiled bigger.
"Awesome! So we are delayed because of the rain. So come on!" Norman said excitedly pulling me with him. In a split second his hand had went from my back to holding mine. As we were out of the make up trailor and dodging rain drops to stand next to his Jeep.
"Wait, it's not lunch," I said as we stood at the passanger side of the Jeep. He smiled.
"I know, but we have time, and you didn't specificly say how, or what time. So breakfast, lunch, maybe dinner. I feel like an ass," Norman said as he opend the door. I smiled at him.
"Lunch would have been just fine, but if you insist. I smiled getting in to the Jeep. He smiled as he shut my door and he made his way over to his side. Norman jumped in and started the Jeep. He looked over to me and smile.
"I just realized how akward this must be for you. I swear. Your not being kidnapped, or anything weird," he laughed. I smiled.
"A little, but no, I didn't think I was getting kidnapped," I smiled. He smiled.
"Cool so, I know this little diner, and they have the most amazing home made pancakes," Norman said as we pulled out. I smiled.
"Where ever, I'm still new to Georgia," I said. He smiled at me.
"Ohh, one day I'll bring you out to Atlanta. There are so many cool places to hang out there," he said. I smiled at him. We just met yesterday, today I'm being taken off to breakfast for two, and now he was talking about taking me to Atlanta.
"That's sweet of you," I said, not really sure what else to say. He smiled at me.
"So, Stephanie, tell me about yourself. How'd you end up here?" Norman asked as he lit up a ciggarette. I sighed as I my purse and ciggarettes were in my car. He looked at me.
"Ya smoke?" He asked. I nodded.
"Yeah, I leave my purse and stuff in my car. This kinda happend so fast I forgot to grab it," I explained. He smiled as he handed me the pack.
"No worries, you can share with me, and ya don't need any money, my treat. For yesterday," he smiled. I smiled at him as I light up a ciggarette.
"I moved here a couple months ago. I've always loved the adventure of being somewhere new. I just get bored so easily," I explained, Norman smiled.
"What other places you been?" He asked seeming interested. I sighrd.
"Not a lot, money is always a hard thing to make, but so easy to spend," I said. He nodded.
"Yeah," he agreed. "Where would you like to go if you had the money?" He asked. I smiled.
"Japan, it's always been on my bucket list. Since I was like nine," I said with a smile. He looked over to me and smiled.
"Why?" He asked, "Beautiful country, hope you get to experience it," he threw in. I smiled.
"The culture, I was big in to the Asian culture when I was younger. It's just so different then ours," I said.
"It is," he agreed. I smiled, he made me smile. "So if I find a nice Japanese restaurant around here ya wanna go sometime? Although, we might just have to go to Atlanta," Norman said with a mischievious smile. I giggled.
"I'd love to," I agreed. He gave me a sideways glance.
"Really, because there is one in Atlanta I've been dying to go to," he said. I giggled.
"Your sneeky" I said with a giggle. He looked at me innocently.
"What I do?" He asked, unable to hide a small laugh.
"You got me to go to Atlanta with you," I pointed out. He chuckled, rubbing his chin.
"Did I?" He asked.
"Fuck you!" I laughed. Norman looked at me a second. My heart stopped. I just told Norman Reedus, 'Fuck you'..... He laughed.
"Alright, but that was all your idea," he laughed, it was my turn to be stuned. I laughed.
"You wish," I told him. He looked me up and down a second and then back to the road.
"Mmm, no comment," he smiled. I looked at him shocked again. There was no comment, but his smug face, and the fact he didn't bother hiding looking me up and down.
"What's that supose to mean?" I asked laughing a little. He smile.
"We're here," he said changing the subject. I was still looking at him for an answer as put the Jeep in park and looked at me. He then reached over to my lap, were his ciggarettes were sitting, I had forgotten, and grabbed them my heart jumpped. He smiled.
"I like that face. Whe your nervous for a second, but then you relax," he said and got out of the Jeep. I breathed. Trying to figure out what the fuck just happend. I looked over to Norman opening my door. He smiled as I unbuckled and got out.
"I wasn't nervous," I tried to think of something to say. Norman smiled.
"Ok, well I don't know what the face was, or why your eyes got big. By the way you have really pretty eyes," he said. I smiled. We walked in to the diner and Norman talked with the waitress. He odviously came here regularly.
"Who's this?" The older woman asked. I smiled. It must be intressting the people he brought in with him.
"Stephanie," Norman introduced us. I smiled shyly.
"Ohh she's very pretty. Norman I have to say it. I already like her over the other one," the older woman said. Norman looked at me and smiled.
"Marge, ya know I've been told that a lot recently, guess I just needed to be told," he said with a smile as we took our seats. Marge walked away and I looked at Norman.
"What is she talking about?" I asked he smiled.
"She thinks your my girlfriend," Norman said plainly. I looked at him, shocked.
"You didn't say anything," I pointed out bitting my lip. He smiled.
"They have really good coffee here, do you like coffee?" Norman changed the subject again. I looked at him.
"Yeah, I do," I said. He smiled. Marge was on her way back.
"Here sug, on the house," she said setting down a pot of coffee.
"Thanks," Noman smiled, Marge looked at me.
"You an actress or a model?" She asked. I looked at her a moment.
"I'm a hairdresser, ma'am," I said lowly. She smiled, letting out a laugh.
"Sug! She is the sweetest thing! And so polite! Ya want you're regular? Here sweetheart have a menu," Marge laughed at Norman and handed me a menu.
"Sounds good," he smiled. I looked at her and the Norman.
"Thank you," I squeeked. Marge smiled.
"Your welcome hon!" She said she walked away.
"You impressed Marge, and she's not easily impressed," Norman said drinking his cofee. I looked at him. Was he taking a poll on me of all the people he knew to see if he'd date me or something? What about the girl yesterday? So many things I wanted to ask.
"That's a good thing?" I asked. He smiled.
"Well she thinks your better for me then... Well she doesn't usually favor the age differences," Norman told me.
"How old do you think I am?" I asked Norman looked at me.
"I'd say your what eighteen?" He asked. I smiled.
"Ok that's settles it your stuck with me," I chuckled. He looked at me.
"Your older?" He asked suprused. I laughed.
"I'm twenty-five, " I said, he rubbed his chin again with a smile. I looked back down at my menu. "I guess I'll have them pancakes you went on about," I said kinda embarrassed the way he was looking at me.
"Mmmh," Norman agreed. I smiled.
Marge came back to take my order. She kept going on about how sweet and polite I was. I didn't know what to say besides to smile. Norman seemed to enjoy her fawning all over me. He would just smile and agree with her, drinking his coffee. When Marge left again, I looked at Norman.
"Are you going to tell her?" I asked. He looked at me with an eyebrow raised. God was he good looking.
"What?" He asked with a smiled taking a mouthful of eggs. We had gotten out food, women were in the mist of all this and had begun to eat. I made a face at him. He was good at avoiding things he didn't wanna answer.
"Don't you have a girlfriend?" I asked, I did see him kissing that girl yesterday. He looked at me, not answering shoveling food in his mouth again. I sighed. He smiled, and took a drink of his cofee.
"Why ya fightin it? Any other girl would be happy to be thought of as my girlfriend," Norman said. I looked at him.
"But it's not true," I pointed out. He looked at me.
"So? Most girls, like when people think it," he smiled.
"I'm not most girls," I said pushing around my food. I couldn't understand him. Why was he so complicated? Noeman eyed me as I looked down at my plate. I coukd feel his eyes burnning in to me. I was kinda embarrassed, and getting upset with him.
"Yeah, I see that," he said lowly. I looked up at him to see a big smile on his face. I couldn't help but smile. Then his phone went off and he sighed.
"Hi," he answered not sounding to happy. I tried to look like I wasn't listeing, but I had left my phone in my car, so I didn't have much to do.
"I'm kinda busy," He told someone. "Yeah, ok, yep, alright, ok.. Bye," he rushed the person on the other end off the phone. I kept looking down at my plate and continued to push food around. He chuckled.
"You ever tried to break up with soemone, but they just don't take a hint?" He asked. I looked up.
"No," I said lowly. He looked at me.
"Really? Huh. Well what kinda guys you been dating?" He asked. I looked at him and rolled my eyes.
"Losers," I said lowly. My love life sucked, I really didn't want to discuss it with Norman.
"Oh, I'm sorry," he sighed. Looking down at his phone. "Come on, looks like they cancelled the day, it's not gonna let up," he smiled at me. I looked at him. I was confused, was he taking me on another wild adventure?
"Where?" I asked. He smiled as he dug in his pocket and got out his wallet.
"I don't know, you got plans? I don't. A unplanned day off," he smiled, I smiled.
"No I don't, " I admitted. He smiled bigger and stood but.
"Be back in just a sec. Bathrooms that way if you need it before we go," Norman said as he headed to the front to pay. I smiled, my face was starting to go numb, but I couldn't stop.
I did run to the bathroom real quick, checked over my hair and make up. I looked ok, not sure what Norman kept smiling at when he looked at me. I straighted out my clothes and took a deep breath. I was bout to spend the day with Noman! I silently screamed and walked back out to see Noman waiting for me at the table. He seemed to light up as he looked up from his phone.
"Ready?" He asked. I nodded. We walked outside and got in the Jeep. Noman smiled as he lit a ciggarette and handed me the pack. "Did you wanna go get your purse and phone?" He asked. I looked at him a moment.
"Yeah," I agreed as I light a ciggarette. We pulled out, but turned a different direction. "This a back way?" I asked. Norman smiled.
"Naw, give me three good reasons to go back and get them," he told me. I looked at him, like he had lost his mind.
"What?" I asked. He smiled.
"Come on," I said.
"Your impossible sometimes," I sighed, he certainly loved being in control. "My cigarettes, my phone my purse," I named three reasosns. He glanced over at me.
"I'm sharing ciggarettes. Everyone thinks your working, right, and you don't need any money," Norman countered. I looked at him. I sighed heavily, he clearly won, becaue I couldn't think of anything really.
"But I want them," I said. He looked at me. He let out a sigh and we turned around. I looked over at him.
"You had to say you wanted 'em," he said sounding a little annoyed. I smiled.
"What else does that work for?" I asked out loud. I was embarrassed again. That was supset to sTay in mhere head. Norman smiled.
"I don't know, but try saying you want something else, and see if it happends," he laughed. I smiled
"Maybe later," I said wondering what was going on. He smiled and we made it back to the set. Almost all the cars were gone for the day, because of the rain.
"Where'd ya park?" Norman asked looking around. Over there I pointed to a shitty looking car. He pulled in beside. I jump out and quickly grabbed my things. Locked it back up and getting back in beside Norman. He smiled.
"Ready?" He asked. I looked in my purse pulling out my phone, and ciggarettes. Seeing my wallet so I smile up at him.
"Ready," I smiled.
"Shit!" He exclaimed as we pulled out. I looked over to him.
"So, I let my cat out this moring. I'm pretty sure he's gonna be pissed off at me. Ya mind if we go let him in?" Norman asked. I looked at him.
"I've been kidnapped for the day," I laughed. He looked over at me.
"Kidnapped? Alright! That opens up a whole new world of possibilities," He laughed. I looked at him and shook my head.
"What are you thinking?" I asked him. He smiled.
"Nothin'" he said with kinda an evil looked, and laugh.
"Dirty fucker," I laughed. He smiled.
"Then why'd you ask?" Norman looked at me, as we turned on to a back road. I looked at him.
"I don't know," I answered truthfully. I mean if he wanted to kidnapped me and have his way with me then, who was I to stop him. I also wanted to slap myself for thinking like that. He was kissing a girl yesterday. Of course he did ask me if I had ever had a problem breaking up with someone. My head started to hurt as I over thought Norman being nice to me.
"Hey! Did I lose you?" Norman was gently shaking my sholder. I looked over at him, embarrassed.
"Sorry, was lost in thought," I admitted. He smiled.
"Dirty fucker!" He laughed as he got out of the Jeep. I hadn't even realize we had made it to his house.
I got out and looked over to him. He smiled and tilted his head tward the door. I fallowed him up on the large porch. We stopped a second and he called out to his cat.
"Here kitty kitty kitty!" Norman called. Eye in the dark came out from under a chair and meowed at him, it sounded unhappy. "Sorry Fatso, didn't know it was gonna rain all day," he said as he unlocked the front door and we went in. I stood akwardly at the front door not knowing what to do.
"Ya commin?" Norman asked peaking out from another room. I smiled and went in.
"Wow," I whispired, never seeing a house quiet that big in real life. Norman smiled.
"Sorry it's messy, guess that's what happends when your single," he as as we walked in to the kitchen and I saw a pile of dishes in the sink. I smiled at him.
"You need a maid," I said. He rubbed his chin again smiling.
"Yeah, ya available? I could get ya one of them lil French maid outfits. You could clean my house.." he cut off with a laugh, and it looked like he was blushing. I looked at him
"Norman!" I laughed, what was going on?
"What? I'd pay ya good," he smiled more. I didn't know what to do. I looked around embarrassed again. He was really good at making me blush. Norman stepped tward me and my heart jumpped. He got really close as I looked up at him.
"I'm not scaring ya am I? I'm just jokin. I like ya, your fun. I feel like I can joke with you, and you won't get offended. Besides your cute when your embarrassed," he spoke lowly, given his closeness. I breathed out a breath. He wasn't even doing anything and he was making me forget how to breath.
"I'm not scared," I said lowly, my mouth dry. He smiled and pulled me in for a hug. He smelt amazing. Then I noticed his face burried in my neck as his scratchy facial hair, rubbed against my neck. I lifted my head to look. At him our faces only inches apar. He looked down at me. His deep blue eyes had changed, they looked darker. Like blue fire. God what I wouldn't give to be kissed by him. His body was so warm and inviting and his hands. His hands I had just realized were just above my ass. He looked down at me, his lips parted like he wanted to say, or maybe do something. My breath was cought in my throat.
Suddenly his phone went off as he let go of me to answer it. I sighed as I looked around unsure what had just happend or what might have happend. Eye in the dark jumped on the counter just in time and I was happy to have something to do. As the cat demand to be petted. I smiled and petted him. I noticed Norman had walked to the other room to talk on the phone as I stood in the kitchen petting the cat. I sighed as I looked at him and wondered what was going on, again. I was so confused and Norman wasn't helping at all. I let out a large sigh, feeling a headache comming on when Norman came back out to the kitchen.
"So let me feed him and we can go," he said with a smile. I smiled, he stopped looking at me petting EITD. "He's not usualy that friendly to strangers," he smiled. "Hell not usualy that friendly to people he knoes. I know he hates..." Norman stopped mid sentence. Who? Who didn't he want to talk about infront of me? "Rips me up a couple times a week," he laughed. I smiled. Still wondering who this person was he didn't want to talk about. I concluded it must be the girl from yesterday. The one Andy said he didn't know what she was to Norman. The one Noman had been trying to break up with. He did say he was sigle.
"He's sweet," I decided to say so I wasn't being rude. Norman laughed as he poured the food.
"Ohh real sweet, untill your half asleep at some hour in the morning. Your go to take a piss and he fuckin claws your feet from under the bed. You almost piss yourself, yeah real sweet," He said seriously as he looked over at me. I giggled.
"Oh, yeah I guess that's not too sweet,"I said with kinda giggle. Norman looked at me.
"Just wait, he'll get ya," Norman said, I looked over at him. What he mean by that?
"What am I going to be doing going to your bathroom at someone ungodly hour in the morning?" I laughed really wanting to know. Norman smiled.
"Well odviously to take a piss," he said. I smiled at him.
"Ok smart ass! Why am I in your house? In your room?" I was more specific. Norman smiled bigger.
"You were interested in the maid job, right?" He asked smiling. I smiled and shook my head.
"What the fuck kinda maid you looking for?" I asked, unable to hide a laugh.
"One that can clean the houes, and get dirty too," Noman said bluntly. I looked at him eyes wide.
"I think you want a hooker," I said, unsure of what else to say to that. He smiled at me.
"It pays good, or there are other options," he said. I looked at him. I wasn't sure what to say to him.
"You this farward with all your lady friends?" I asked interested. He smiled, shaking his head.
"No," he said. I looked at him, what the fuck was going on. He smiled more. "Speachless, I like it," he said. I had no answer for him. No counter. Just looking at him.
"I'm not most girls," I finnaly said. I knew Norman's type, I was a fan of him. He wasn't big into relationships. He never had a girlfriend long. Lost of friends. I wasn't in to that. He looked at me a second.
"I know," he smiled "I like that," he said again. As he walked over to the refrigerator. "Thirsty?" He asked as he held up a water bottle. I nodded. Not realizing how thirsty I was, from a conversation that had left me speachless a few times. Norman walked over and handed me the bottle. I smiled and drank down a good amout. He watched me.
"I get ya a little warm?" He laughed. I made a small humph sound and smiled. If I couldn't get any answeres out of him I might as well play his game.
"Maybe," I said, smiling. He smiled and walked tward me.
"If I didn't do it right, please tell me and I can," he said, his voice low. My breath hitched.
"And what exactly is it you plan to do?" I tried to hold my ground but the look he was giving me was making me lose my nerve.
"Oh, baby girl you know," he chuckled stepping closer. I didn't, truthfully. I hopped, but truthfully I had no idea what he would do.
"I get a new nickname?" I asked not sure weather to push this or not.
"Yeah? Ya like it?" He asked. I smiled.
"Yeah, so you gonna keep trying to seduce me all day or we gonna move on, to do something else?" I asked kinda nervous. Norman let out a laugh.
"I mean it's really you call," he said smiling. I looked at him.
"I don't know what kind of girls you usualy hag out with. Well I mean if they are that easily persuaded to the bed room I do. Anyways, I'm not one of them, if you want this your gonna work for it," I smiled as I moved over to sit down at the table. Norman smiled bigger.
"Not like any other girl," he said lowly "alright baby girl, where do you wanna go? What do you wanna do?" Norman asked. I looked at him.
"I'm the one new to Georgia, Mr. I think your supose to show me around," I said with a smile. Norman smiled back.
"Alright smart ass. If it wasn't raining I would take ya out on the bike and show ya some cool places. The rain kinda kills that," I looked at him exactly.
"Ok, but I want a rain check on the going out on the bike," I said. He smiled.
"You like Moyer cycles?" He asked. I nodded.
"Always wanted to ride one. When I was younger I wanted to get one, but I'm too girly for that. I don't like to get dirty," I said. Norman smiled again.
"All girls like to get a little dirty," he said. I smiled.
"And all men have dirty minds," I told him. He smile, more at me.
"Yes but not all the time, I takes a certain kinda girl to bring it out," he said. I looked at him funny.
"Yeah models, actresses, and porn stars," I said know most guys. He looked at me.
"So your a porn star?" He laughed. I looked at him.
"NO!" I said more embarrassed. He chuckled.
"Then why does it have to be just them?" He asked. I looked at him lost.
"Guys don't find me attractive. I mean I guess sort of, I've had boyfriends. I just I don't know," I said standing up. I did know. I knew that the only reason I said it was because it was Norman Reedus, an actor in to modles. How could I compare.
"You date the wrong kinda men," he said. Walking tward me offering me a ciggarette. I took it, lighting it and taking a drag.
"Yeah, well it's what I seem to attract. The good looking ones with jobs and lives. They aren't intressed in me," I was embarrassed and kinda annoyed. I didn't wanna talk about this with him. Norman puffed on his cigarette.
"No?" He asked. I looked at him annoyed.
"No, I'm not tall enough, or skinny enough, hell I'm not blond," I threw out some of the things men had told me as to why they wouldn't date me. I looked at him. "I really didn't want to discuss this," I said. Norman nodded.
"Those fuckers didn't get to know you. In the short time I've known you. I know your funny, and sweet. You have a good heart and you like a challenge," he said. I looked at him. He was sweet and free with complements, but I wasn't trying to date him. I knew better. I smiled.
"Thanks, but I didn't ever really see us dating," I said lowly. His face looked like it fell as he looked at me.
"Why?" He asked. I looked at him like it should be odvous.
"Norman, your... Well you! I'm just a hairdresser from upstate nowhere New York. The fact that you taken time to hang out with me is more then I could ever of dreamed of," I said as I took another drag of my ciggarette. Norman looked at me a long moment.
"Your saying because I'm an actor and your not famouse, we could never be a thing?" He asked. I smiled at him, sadly.
"Well yeah, what the fuck ya want me for when you can have a modle?" I said knowing he had dated them in the past. He looked at me a long moment.
'Because, I'm still human, I just fall for girls. Not based on there status or bak account," he said. I kinda chucked.
"I know that, but based on looks. I'm a two and a Victorian Secret model is a twenty-two," I said. I never thought I was pretty. I tried to look good for myself but never had felt beautiful. Norman looked a me shocked.
"What?!" He asked "The fuck kinda bullshit is that?" He seemed upset. I looked at him not sure why he was getting so upset.
"The truth, I'm not like other girls. I don't think I'm beautiful, hell I don't think I'm much of anything. I'm just trying to make it in life," I said. I hurt to admit to someone like Norman I wasn't anything. Then again the's were the things I ha heard my whole life. "Can we seriously just drop it," I finnaly asked. Feeling on the brink of tears, and I didn't want to cry infront of Norman.
"Not unill you tell me why the fuck you think your not pretty or worth anything," he said sounding more upset. I shrugged, I didn't want to go in to any of that with him.
"Just grew up hearing I guess it stuck," I said quickly, turning away trying not to cry. He pulled me in to a hug.
"Someone fukin lied to you," was all he said. I hugged him back. I wasn't sure why else to do. "One day, I hope you can tell me about it," he said I breathed out. I didn't think I ever could.
"Can I use your bathroom?" I asked lowly without looking up at him.
"Yeah down the hall to the left," he said lowly.
I made my way to the bathroom. I closed the door quitely and turned on the water trying to fix my make up and stop from sniffling. Norman had really struck a nerve. I'm sure he hadn't planned on or intended to, but he did. I wasn't normal, I was the opposite. I struggled wth depression ad anxiety, it took all I had to move. I wasn't dating material for Norman Reedus! That played in my head again, like a broken record. I was enjoying being his friend and that's all I knew we could ever be. I straighted myself up and headed back out.
"You ok? I'm sorry, I just.. Well anyways, I'm sorry," Norman seemed to fumble with his words. I took a calming breath.
"I'm fine, I know. I didn't think you did," I assured him. He looked at me a long time with out a word.
"I'll show you," he finnaly said. I looked at him a few minutes waiting for him to say something more. He didn't.
"What?" I finnaly asked. He just smile.
"Come on, I've decided what we are going to do!" He smiled as he grabbed my hand and we left.
