My flu lasted almost the entire week, but I was slowly feeling better. I was able to drink something other then water and I could keep down food. Tonight I had eaten some soup and craker and we were sitting on the couch after dinner. I was still taking as much of Norman's attention as possble. I loved that he took such good care of me while I was sick, and was sure to tell him.
I was cuddleing with Norman and Mingus was sitting on the floor, no sure why. He had already pointed out, I was no longer sick, and I was now harassing him about not being my favorite anymore. Norman laughed, saying he moved up a spot again and Mingus shrugged, making a smart ass comment, as usual. My phone started to ring. I didn't recognize the number, but I answered it.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hi, Stephanie, it's Helena," Helena said. I made a face, looking at Norman then Mingus. He smiled, and started talking to Norman.
"Hello," I said, confused.
"Hi, I know it's kinda weird me calling you. Mingus and I were talking and I know this is the first year you will be spending Norman's birthday with him. We were just wondering if you had made plans. I know Mingus had said you have been sick. He kinda wants to do something, like a suprise for his dad," she explained. I nodded, then remembered she couldn't see me.
"Oh, yeah, yeah," I said getting up.
"Where ya going?" Norman asked. I smiled pointing to the phone.
"He's there?" She asked.
"Yep," I said making my way out of the living room and down to the bedroom. "Yeah, I had some ideas, but I didn't really know what he usually did," I said, closing the bedroom door.
"He likes to keep it kinda low key. He says he's getting to old for a big party," she explained. I kinda laughed.
"That's kinda funny considering he just whined, untill he got a new years party," I laughed. Helena did too.
"Yeah, but I guess he thinks because he's almost fifty he's old, at least that's what he said last year," she explained. I shook my head.
"We'll I was thinking a nice, homemade dinner, and a cake. Not sure if he prefers store bought, but I wanted to attempt to make him one," I said. She was silance a minute.
"I think that's the sweetest thing any of his girlfriends has ever done for him. I mean I couldn't even compete," she kinda laughed. I bushed, I didn't expected an 'oh that's cute, but' statment, where she would proceed to tell me how it should be done.
"Thanks," I said lowly.
"I think Mingus would enjoy helping with that, if you didn't mind," she said. I smiled
"Why would I?" I laughed.
"You'd be surprised," she said. I sighed.
"I'm deffenatly not like that, " I told her.
"I've heard, he seems to really like you," she said. I smiled. "Alright, well if you have that figured out, then I guess, that's all I really needed," she kinda laughed. I smiled
"Sounds good then," I agreed.
"Ohh one more thing," Helena said. I wondered what that could be.
"Yeah?" I aksed.
"What kinda cake are you thinking about making?" She asked. I smiled.
"Chocolate, of couse," I kinda giglged. She laughed.
"Just making sure," she said. I smiled. "Alright then, talk to you later," she said.
"Later," I agreed and we hung up. I smiled to myself as I walked back to the living room. Norman eyed me.
"Who was that?" He asked. I smiled. "Ohh someone from work," I kinda lied, I didn't want to lie, but I wanted this to be a suprise for him. I also wanted to make this the best birthday I could. Make him feel like he wasn't old.
"Ohh, what they need?" He asked. I knew he knew me too well, and I my lieing sucked, because he knew me so well.
"Ohh, just boring work stuff," I said not even able to come up with an excuse. He eyed me.
"Ook," he said, not believing me. I smiled and leaned on him.
"Don't worry baby," I said, kissing his cheek. We hadn't shared a real kiss sence new years and it was killing me. Norman and I agreed, though we wanted to make sure I was completely done being sick. So he didn't catch it. Love making had been the same way. We hadn't sence I had gotten sick, and I was starting to miss his body on mine.
I had a doctors appointment the next day, and it was killing me. I wanted nothing more then to be able to kiss him, and make love to him. Norman's birthday was also in a couple days and I wanted to be cleared by the doctor, so I could show Norman he was no old man. I was kissing at his neck, trying to get his attention. Norman laughed.
"Stop," he said leaning in to kiss my head. I looked up at him sad. "I know," he said.
"I miss you," I said lowly. He smiled, leaning in to my ear.
"Miss you too baby girl, soon," he assured me. I sighed.
"I'm going to take a bath," I grummbled. He laughed.
"I'll miss you," he said. I smiled back at him. I needed to be away from him. I was going insane with him so close and not being able to be with him.
I started the water and decied to listen to music while I took my bath, hopefully it would take my mind off Norman. I had showered that morning, but I just wanted to laze around. I sat in the hot water and listend to the music. I thought about how much Norman had changed everything in my life.
He had been only the second boyfriend that wasn't a complete loser. I had attracted them before Norman came around. It was like after he saw something in me, others did too. I still give him one hounded percent of the credit, though. He was my everything.
So I had to make him feel special. I had to make him know wasn't an old man, at least not yet. His age never bothered me and it never would. I wouldn't leave him just becuase he was almost fifty. Knowing Norman the way I did, I knew he was some what insucre, about things. He was always worried, about losing me. I had tried so many times to make him understand I wasn't going anywhere. The door opend and Norman came in. I smiled.
"You still alive?" He asked, with a smile. I smiled at him
"Yeah, sorry was thinking. Your birthday is comming up," I said. He made an uneasy face.
"Yeah, we don't have to do anything to big," he said lowly. I looked at him.
"Why?" I asked innocently. He shrugged.
"When you get to be my age you'll understand," he said looking away. I looked at him, reaching up for him. He had sat on the side of the tub. I turned is face tward mine.
"Understand what?" I asked. He sighed.
"I'm old," he forced a laugh. I made a face at him.
"Hugh Hefner, is old," I said. He laughed.
"Your cute," he said, getting up.
"Norman!" I growled getting up. "Come back here!" I yelled. I grabbed my towel and fallowed him he was setting on the bed.
"Baby, I love you, but put some clothes on," he said. I walked over to him. I was covered for the moment.
"I love you too. I will in a minute, but baby you're not old," I said, leaning in and kissing his cheek. He pulled me in to a hug, it was tight and I understood it. He was thinking about us. "So what if your going to be fifty in a few years. You not fifty now, and so what if you were fifty now. Your my best friend, you make me so happy. I'll still be here when your fifty, if you'll let me. I'll still be here when your ninty, and old," I laughed kissing him. He smiled.
"What do you want with a old man?" He asked, sounding sad. I pulled him close.
"Age is a number, and your my world. I wouldn't be happy with out you. I would be sad and alone," I said. Norman pulled me on his lap.
"You mean it? You still wanna be with me when I'm ninty?" He asked. I smiled kissing his neck,
"Mmh," I hummed, he chuckled.
"Baby girl!" He laughed, then growled. My kisses had be come more heated, and I might have nipped at his thoat.
"Is it tomorrow yet?" I asked. Cuddling in to him. He was smiling still.
"No, but I wish it was," he laughed. I got up, getting dressed.
"I'm going to bed, so it can be tomorrow, so I can hold you again," I said. Norman smiled coming over to me and pulling me into his arms again.
"Alright, but first, come eat something. I swear you lost ten pounds being sick," he said, kissing my head. I giggled. We went out to the kitchen. Mingus yelled at us.
"There you are, thought you went to bed," he yelled, as he got up and fallowed us. I smiled, getting out fruit pops Norman had looked up how to make for me, while I was sick. He smiled.
"Naw, she's sick," Norman told him. Mingus made a face
"Eww, too much information," he said. I giggled. I had gotten use to Norman being blunt with him. I ate my popcicle.
"You asked," Norman said getting out some cookies. Mingus stole a few.
"I didnt, I said I thought," he said. I smiled.
"Don't you know better then to say thing like that?" I laughed. "You know he's just going to tell you, because he can get you started," I laughed. Mingus made a face.
"Yeah," he agreed. I sighed, still smiling. I had finished my popcicle. Not missing once how Norman was watching me. I smiled.
"I'm going to bed," I said kissing Norman on the cheek. He pulled me close.
"One more," he said lowly. I giggled.
"You like that?" I asked. He smiled..
"You could use the extra, and if your keeping it down," he trailed off, as I took another one and licked at it slowly. I smiled.
"Ew!" Mingus complained. I giggled. " You two have problems," he said.
"I was eating!" I said defensive. He made a face. I smiled at Norman.
"Hey! What can I say, I'm only human. You'll understand one day," he told Mingus. Mingus made a face.
"I know what your talking about. Just don't want to!" He said. Norman laughed.
"Believe me son, you will. One day," Norman said happily. I finished my popcicle quickly.
"Ok! Father, son moment I don't want to be part of anymore!" I said shaking my head. Norman laughed.
"I'll be in, in a minute," he said. I smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Night," I said to Mingus on the way by. He smiled.
"Night, good luck with your appointment, tomorrow," he said, I smiled.
"Thanks," I said as I made my way to the bedroom. I so badly wanted to sleep naked with Norman. Feel his skin against mine. Feel his lips on mine. I sighed, tomorrow couldn't come fast enough! I went and brushed my teeth, then crawled in to bed. I wasn't sleeping, when Norman came in, sometime later. He looked at me.
"Sorry I took so long," he said. Stripping down to his boxers. I smiled, holding my arms out for him. He chuckled, leaning in so I could hug him and kiss his cheek.
"Your fine, I don't mind waiting for you," I smiled. He kissed my head.
"I'm sorry I'm always making you wait," he said, lowly. I smiled.
"How long did you have to wait for me?" I asked. He thought for a second.
"At least ten years," he laughed. I smiled.
"See, then I don't mind waiting a little while," I giggled. Kissing at his neck. He smiled.
"Girl!" He growled. I giggled.
"I love you," I giggled, acting innocent. He pinned my arms above my head, hovering over me.
"Your going to kill me," he said, kissing my cheek. "Behave! Untill tomorrow," he said. I giggled.
"I don't wanna!" I whined. He laughted.
"I love you so much," he said said looking down at me lovingly. I smiled. He loosened his grip on my hand. I reached up and stoked the side of his face.
"I love you too," I said. "So much," I added lowly. Norman smiled, leaning in and kissing my head, then my nose, making me giggled, then my cheek.
"Alright," he said getting up. I smiled. I could tell he wanted to do more then just kiss me.
"I'll be right here," I said he smiled as he disappeared in to the bathroom. I smiled, I was the luckiest girl in the world. I knew that. I smiled as the bathroom door opened again. Norman came to the bed and get in. I smiled as I moved tward him. He smiled as he wrapped his arms around me.
"Ciggarette?" He asked. I shook my head. It was my new years resolution, and getting sick had helped, me quite. Norman smiled down at me. "I'm proud of you," he said kissing my head. I smiled.
"Your turn," I laughed. I knew he wouldn't, but it was worth a shot. He laughed.
"Yeah," he agreed, but I knew he was just saying it.
"You'd live longer," I said. He made a face looking at me, taking a drag.
"Tempting, especially if you're going to be around," he said. I smiled.
"Something to think about," I said. He nodded. We talked while he smoked, when he was done he kissed my head again.
"I love you," he said. Pulling me closer. I snuggled in to him.
"I love you too. I yawned. With that we fell asleep.
The next morning, I woke to Norman getting out of bed. I groaned, but I knew he was going to get Mingus up for school. I sighed, as I sat up. Norman made a face. I knew he was going to tell me I didn't have to get up. My doctor's appointment wasn't for a few more hours. I put my hand up.
"I know," I said, streching. He smiled.
"Excited?" He asked. I nodded, with a smile.
"Can't wait to be able to hold you," I said smiling. Norman smiled leaning in and kissing my head.
"Can't wait to, well do more than that," Norman smiled. I giggled, getting out of bed, and hugging him.
"Well yes, of course," I giggled as we parted and started heading out. We went to the kitchen and I got Norman's coffee for him while he went to get Mingus. I inhaled the aroma deeply. It smelt so good. I hadn't had coffe sence I had gotten sick, and I was desperately craving the tast. I decied to get myself a small cup. I figured if it didn't agree with me it wouldn't be much. Norman came back out and eyed me as I got my creamer out.
"What ya doin?" He asked taking a swig of his own coffee. I smiled, taking a drink. It tasted like heaven.
"Drinking coffee," I said, as though it was natural, and it was. He eyed me.
"Just don't drink it too fast, and if you feel sick get some water, ans dump that," Norman instructed me. I giggled.
"Yes sir," I teased. He smiled.
"I just want to be able to hold you," he said, pulling me in to another hug. I hugged him tightly.
"Believe me, I want that too, " I said. He kissed my head and we parted. Mingus came our with a grummbled I kinda giggled at him. He wasn't a morning person. He got his coffee, and drank it slow.
"Your up early," he said to me. I smiled.
"Yeah, I use to get up this time, all the time when we lived in Georgia. Mingus made a questioning face. I laughed, as Norman came behind me.
"That was when I had to wake her ass up every morning and go get her for work," he said. I make a face at him.
"You didn't have to, " I pointed out. He laughed.
"If you'd of just come lived with me in the beginning, no I won't have had to would I?" Norman asked. I smiled at him shaking my head.
"Norman, we met the first day on set. Then the second day we hung out. By the third day you were waking me up. You mean to tell me that by the third day, you knew you wanted to be with me?" I asked. He smiled.
"I knew you were beautiful, and special, I wanted you near me," he said. I smiled, he was cute, kissing his cheek, I gave in.
"Ok baby," I smiled. Mingus made a noise.
"You're telling me that in three days, you were already in love with her?" He asked. I looked at Norman who looked at Mingus then me. He started nodding slightly, then it became a really nod.
"Yes," he said, "I didn't know it was love, but I knew that I had to be a near her," he said. I smiled. Leaning against him. That was the sweetest thing, anyone had ever said to me. Mingus smiled, and nodded.
"So are you two going to have a kid together?" He asked. I almost spit the coffee, I was trying to drink, at him. My eyes went to Norman.
"Frist off, what made you ask that?" Norman asked him, sounding kinda suprised. Mingus shrugged.
"You found someone who makes you happy, arn't you going to marry her and have kids?" He asked. I wasn't sure I wanted to know the answer.
"Ok, just because I found someone, doesn't just mean I'm having more kids," Norman said. My heart sank, of course he didn't want more kids, Mingus was sixteen. I tried to find something to do. I went and looked for something to eat. I didn't want to cry, I had been wanting a baby for so long. Now I knew that, even though, I had found the right man, I'd never have the baby I wanted.
"But dad, it's Stephanie, she breaks all the 'normal girlfriend' rules," Mingus said. I staired blankly in to the cupboard. I couldn't think. I wanted to know Norman's response.
"Let me finish!" Norman said. " I didn't say we wouldn't I just was going to say we hadn't talked about it yet," he said. I let my breath go, I was holding and didn't even realize it. Of course he said that. That was a safe answer, I picked up something in the cupboard. I wasn't even paying attention to what it was as I looked at it and set it back, grabbing something else. I knew by the way he answered, he wasn't even thinking about a baby.
"Steph?" Mingus asked, bringing me back to the kitchen and out of my thoughts. I set whatever it was down and looked at him. "You want mac and cheese for breakfast?" He asked. I made a face. I had been so lost in didn't even know what I had picked up. I shook my head. He looked concerned. I shook my head, again.
"No, just looking," I said. I didn't want to be in the kitchen any more, I set my coffe on the counter. "I'm going to take a shower," I said leaving the kitchen. I watched Norman watch me. I gave him a weak smile on my way out of the kitchen. I couldn't be near him right this second. I was taking in the heart brake of knowing he didn't want kids. It killed me, I had wanted one for so long.
I quickly got the shower going and got in. Tears broke finnaly as I started my shower. I had everything, the perfect boyfriend, anything I could ask for. I was happy, I tried to assure myself that I didn't need a baby too. Mingus was still a kid. That just made me cry more. I knew Norman would tell me he was to old for a baby, and be wouldn't be around to take care of one. I knew I'd just agree. I'd lie and tell him it was fine, I wanted to be with him. I also wanted a baby. I wanted to know what it would be like to have a baby. All the wonderful things I had heard about the first kicks, and holding it in my arms.
Finnaly, I took a deep breath, I knew it would be Norman or a baby. I could have a baby, but I knew I wouldn't be able to keep Norman. I sighed, heavily, I wanted Norman, I always would. He was the one I had thought about actually having the baby with anyways. He was the first boyfriend I had pictured being the father to my baby. I always knew I wanted a baby, but never could picture having any of my ex's actually being there to be the dad. Norman was different. He would be there, he wouldn't leave me. Now, I knew there wouldn't be a baby, and be wouldn't be the daddy.
"Baby," Norman said, I jumped. How long had he been in here? I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't even hear him come in. I cleared my throat.
"Yeah?" I asked, trying to make myself sound like I wasn't crying.
"Are you ok?" He asked. I let out a breath. He was so good at reading me.
"Yeah," I lied. As in started to wash up, slowly.
"Are you sure. You ran out of the room so fast, you'd think you were part road runner," he said, he didn't laugh though. "I thought maybe you were sick again," he threw in. I stood under the water rinsing my self.
"No, just excited to go to the doctors and make sure I'm better," I lied again. I watched Norman's shadow threw the curtain, as I slowly added conditioner to my hair. He shifted.
"Alright," he said lowly. " I was worried I upset you, with what I had said. It's true, we haven't talked about it. I mean, if you want to though. I just kinda figured we were on the same page with it," he said. He never said what it was, but I knew. I blinked away tears. Of course I knew what page he was on.
"Oh, no. I know," I agreed, trying to keep my voice from cracking. He was quiet still. "Don't worry, I am fine," I threw in. Norman shifted again, as I watched him.
"Ok, so your just excited about the doctors appointment? Nothing else you wanna talk about?" He asked. I bit my lip, he knew I was upset. Of course he did, he knew everything about me.
"No," I said, trying to sound normal he stepped tward the curtain, then stopped.
"Alright, well if you do have something you wanna take about, you know I'm always here," he said. It was killing me, he knew I was upset and I was lieing to him, because I didn't want to hear him say he didn't want anymore kids. I let out an uneasy breath.
"I know," my voice was too high putched. I tried to hide it. "I love you," I threw in, that was the truth, and the reason I didn't want to have this conversation. Norman was quiet again.
"I love you too," he agreed. I waited as he left and I broke again. I knew he'd say no, it was just something I knew. If I had any sort of belief he'd say yes, but in six months or a year, I'd have talked to him. My brain just screamed, leave it alone. I had that sick feeling when Mingus brought it up. He didn't want to out right say no, but he wasn't making it sound any where near a yes. I stood in the shower a long time, I didn't want to look like I had been crying when I got out. I knew it would kill Norman, I'd much rather be the one unhappy. He ment the world to me.
Finnaly when it thought, I couldn't cry no more, and I just didn't want to think about it any longer I got out. I dried off slowly, and headed for the bedroom to get dressed. Norman wasn't in there, and the door was closed. I looked at the time. He was taking Mingus to school, he wasn't even in the apartment. I sighed, going to the closet and looking for something to wear, but like looking for something to eat. I just staired blankly at the closet. I couldn't cry anymore, I didn't have the tears left. So my heart broke silently, while I looked at clothes. I didn't hear Norman come back, or in the room or anything. Untill he was holding me close to him. He held me tightly, he was the glue, putting my broken pieces back in place.
"You just don't seem yourself today," Norman finnaly said. I turned to face him, forcing a smile.
"I'm just, thinking. If the doctor doesn't day I'm better, I might expode," I kissed his neck. Norman smiled.
"Hmm? Why's that?" He asked with a knowing smiled. I made a face. He was buying it, and it was the truth.
"I want you. God it feels like forever since I felt your body against mine," I said pushing up his shirt, so I could feel his chest. He chuckled.
"Mmh, I know," he took my hands off my towel and watched it fall to the floor. "I'm going to make you scream so loud," he prmised, looking me up and down. I smiled.
"Baby," I whispered breathless. I wanted him so bad, and now. He closed his eyes and brearhed a sigh.
"Just a little longer," he said. I growled.
"What if I'm still sick!" I was almost in tears again. Norman shook his head.
"I know you're better, but I'm not a doctor and we need to be careful," he said. I sighed, I knew he was right. I giggled.
"Doesn't it suck having to be the responsible one?" I laughed, remebering when he made me do it. He chuckled.
"I'm sorry I put you threw so much," he said kissing me. I smiled, checking the time again. I bit my lip.
"Ya know we don't have to," I smiled. "But I mean, we could, do other things," I said shyly. Norman shook his head.
"Naughty girl," he said smiling, but shaking his head. "No I want to be able to love you, all of you at once," he said kissing my cheek. I growled.
"I find that sweet as hell, don't get me wrong, but baby I'm dying," I growled. He chuckled again.
"Me too, but hold on a little longer, and I'll make it all worth the wait, do something extra special for ya," he said kissing me. I smiled.
"What?" I asked. He kissed my head now.
"You'll find out later," he said. I smiled and growled. He was such a tease, and it was killing me.
"Baby you are the most amazing man in the world, and I wouldn't change a thing," I told him, and it was the truth. I knew I never would. He smiled down at me.
"You have no idea, the things I'd do for you," he told me. I made a face.
"Like Mac things or like bedroom things?" I asked he laughed.
"Both, I'd take out anyone for you, and then I'd fuck your brains out," he said gruffly. I giggled
"You are so sexy!" I whispered. He smiled.
"Baby girl you have to get some clothes on, before I do go all Mac on you," I giggled.
"I didn't drop my towel," I reminded him. He smiled.
"I like this look way better," he said, I giggled as I turned around and shook my ass at him. He had ahold of me with one arm and squeeze my ass with another. "You are going to make me crazy, girl," he growled. I giggled.
"Can't wait untill you go crazy on me," I told him he kissed at my neck.
"Get dressed," he said letting go of me. I smiled.
I got dressed, and Norman took a shower. I wanted to be in there with him, helping him wash his body. I knew better though, I knew I had to wait. I went to the kitchen and made some breakfast. I was hungry again, that was definitely a good thing. I was just finishing my toast when Norman came out. He kissed my neck.
"Everything going down good?" He asked. I smiled.
"Yeah, I don't feel sick at all. Started another cup of coffee and had toast with peanut butter," I told him. He smiled, getting another cup for himself.
"Good," he said. I looked at him, with a smile.
"I'll brush my teeth before we leave," I giggled. I knew he hated peanut butter and the only reason we had it in the house was for me. He smiled.
"I'm just glad your able to keep something down," he said. I smiled.
"Would you like me to make you something?" I asked putting my plate in the dishwasher. He shook his head. I made a face at him. "You need to eat, too," I told him he smiled.
"I will, I just figured I'd make my nasty egg," he laughed. I giggled. Norman didn't like peanut butter and was sure to tell me when I ate it. I didn't like his half cooked egg, he loved so much, so we harassed each other.
"Good, I'd have messed it up anyways," I said. Remebering trying to make it for him once and over cooking it. He ate it, just because I tried, but he had taken back over cooking it. He kissed my head.
"You tried, and that's what counts," he said. I smiled.
"I'd do anything for you," I said, Norman looked at me a moment, and smiled. He didn't know how true those words were. I was giving up my dream of having a baby. One I had wanted for six years now. I shook the thought away. If I thought about it again I'd cry. "Toast?" I asked. He nodded.
"Yeah," he said. I knew he had cought the look in my eyes. The pain I was trying to hide from him. "You still feeling ok?" He asked. I swallowed a lump.
"Yeah," I said, as happy as I could, staring at the bread I had gotten out, when Norman hadn't even started cooking yet. I heard him get a pan. I moved to get him the eggs.
"Mingus thought he upset you earlier, when he asked about us having a baby," Norman, said. He was back to trying to get me to talk.
"Oh? I'm sorry I gave him that impression," I said. Handing Norman the eggs, and looking for something else to do, so he didn't look at me. I couldn't look him in the eyes at the moment.
"I told him you had a lot on your mind, but it's true we've never talked about it before," he said. I almost cracked.
"No, but you said it earlier, we are on the same page," I said looking threw the cupboards again. Keeping myself busy and out of Norman's sight.
"Stephanie, are you sure?" He asked. I stopped, sure about what? Giving up my dream, yeah. Or that we were on the same page?
"Of course," I said. I knew deep in my heart he didn't want anymore, dispite what I had been told. I knew Norman, he probably said he did, but last night, he was telling me how old he was. Kids weren't in his plans.
"What are you doin?" He finnaly asked as I stood looking in the freezer now. I staired at the frozen food.
"Lookig for dinner, figured I'd take something out and let it defrost," I said. Truthfully I was just avoiding him, but it sounded good.
"Oh," he said lowly. "So we agree?" He said. I looked at him blankly. "On kids?" He asked. I nodded.
"Ohh! Yeah, we are on the same page," I said, staring in the freezer again.
"Ok, that's it? You don't wanna take about it anymore? I kinda figured you have more of an opinion," he said. I started actually looking threw the freezer now.
"No, we agree, these not much else to discuss," I said, I just wanted to be done wth it. I held out some chicken. Norman nodded.
"Alright, I guess, that's covered," he said. I nodded.
"Any ideas?" I asked. He looked at me confused now. "To go with the chicken," I said. He looked at me a second longer.
"Whatever you want," he said I nodded. Getting in the refrigerator and looking.
"You know it's hot in the summer, in Georgia," he said. I looked at him then back at the refrigerator. He had lost me.
"We have AC," I reminded him.
"True," he agreed.
"Salad?" I asked. He nodded.
"I'm going to be pretty busy with the movie too, this summer," he reminded me. I mental decied what I was making for dinner. We had agreed Norman would do the movie he had told me about. It was his job after all.
"I know baby," I had no idea what he was rambling about.
"Your gonna be ok?" He asked. I shrugged.
"Yeah, why not? I can handle being alone, while you work," I said. He kinda made a face.
"Rather you not be, but alright," he said. I was half tempted to ask him what he was going on about? Our summer plans? I decied to just let him go. At least he had dropped the baby suject. Or lack of.
"Work?" He asked. I looked at him again, still not sure what he was talking about.
"Is where I'll see you, at least ten times a day, and has AC," I said, hopefully stopping whatever he was worried about. He smiled, finishing eating.
"Ok, then I think we will be good," he said. I was extremely lost.
"Yeah, baby, I'm pretty sure we will be fine," I said. He smiled, comming over and kissing my head.
"Are you excited?" He asked, with a smile. I giggled, he had lost his mind, that I was sure of.
"Of couse," I said, with a giggle. He pulled me in to a tight hug.
"I love you," he said, lowly. I was so lost.
"I love you too baby," I said.
"Oh, and don't worry about Eye In The Dark," he said. I nodded slowly.
"Alright," I agreed. He smiled, more. I was starting to worry about him.
"Any ideas on what you would like for your birthday dinner?" I asked. Norman smiled at me.
"Mac and cheese, the home made kind, you make," he said. I smiled.
"Alright," I agreed, smiling back at him. I looked at the clock. "I'm going to go do my hair," I said. He kissed my cheek.
"Alright, baby," he agreed. I went to the bedroom and wondered what was going on why was he all of a sudden worried about the summer in Georgia. I pushed it aside and focused on getting ready. I wanted to look extra cute, for after this appointment, when I could come home and love Norman. That was my plan, I had already mentally picked put one of the outfits I had got for Christmas to wear and the massage lotions we would use. It was like our first date or something. Norman came in after a while and smiled big at me.
"Who you getting even more beautiful for?" He asked, with a smile. I smiled bigger.
"If this appointment goes the way I want it, my boyfriend," I said playing along. Norman smiled, bigger, if that was possible.
"He's a luck man, with a beautiful woman like you," he said I smiled. I shook my head.
"I'm the lucky one," I smiled. Even though we would never have a baby, I was still happy to be with him. He kissed my head.
"We could argue that all day, but are you ready?" He asked. I smiled.
"Yes," I said. We headed out. The walk to the doctors was fun, even though it was a bit chilly. Not bad really for January, of couse I had only spent my winters further up north, so it was a lot warmer in the city. Norman kept talking about things that would happen in Georgia. I would assure him I would be ok. I wasn't sure why my being alone, was making him so consented all of a sudden. He finnaly, I guess, ran out of things to worry about as we reached the doctors.
This was the second time I had been to the doctors with Norman. The first time I don't remeber much, but I did know we didn't wait that long. Again this time, we were put in a room almost as soon as we arived and my doctor was in to see me. Norman had insisted that I get on his health insurance plan, as soon as we were official. I promised to help pay the premiums and copays, but like anything else I had tried to pay for, Norman wouldn't let me.
The doctor did an exam. She asked me how in was feeling. If I was able to keep down food. I told her I could and that I was feeling fine. I told her there was no more vomiting or nausea. She was happy with my answers and wrote me a clearance note for work. I asked again before we left if I was better, and she said yes, again. I smiled big and thanked her, as Norman and I headed out the door. We had just started walking when Norman spoke up.
"Where do you want to go for lunch?" He asked, pulling me under his arm and smilng.
"Home," I said, smiling at him he made a face.
"Could go anywhere, Chinese, pizza," he said with a smile. I shook my head.
"Home!" I said lowder. He smiled at me again.
"I don't know if we have anything good at home, you wanna," I cut him off.
"I'm going home, no I don't want Chinese, or pizza, or even to stop at the store. I'm going home and getting naked. You can come and help if you want," I told him. Walking a bit faster. He was quick to catch up.
"Fine, home it is," he laughed. I was practically running home. I missed Norman so much, and I know we had just spent a whole week togeter, but I missed loving him, and kissing him. We had made it in the door to the building then the elevator, and I was attacked. Norman kissed my lips hard. I whimmpered. The stupid elevator dinged too soon as we parted and headed for the door to the apartment. It took Norman longer to get his keys out and unlock it then it did for us to be inside.
Norman kicked the door shut, with a bang, as he picked me up and carried me to out room. Kissing me like we were sharing our. fist kiss. He laid me on the bed as he slipped off his jacket. I sat up.
"I had a plan," I breathed as Norman kissed me again laying me back down. He aparently didn't want to hear it.
"Me to," he breathed kissing at my neck. "Get you naked as fast as possible," he said. I giggled. Then wined.
"Normy!" I whined, He made a face, but got off me. I smiled as I kissed him and headed to the closest. I got out the outfit I wanted and then grabbed the lotions. I hid the outfit as I set the lotions on the stand.
"You did have a plan," he smiled. He was already mostly naked. I gigled.
"I wanted this to be special," I told him. He smiled.
"Your right, it should be," he agreed. He was sitting in his boxers. "But hurry up!" He said. I smiled as I went to the bathroom and put on a red satin and lace babydoll outfit, with matching thongs, the top was a deep 'V' and there was a split, up the front. Norman had said he liked the way red looked on me. So I was sure to buy a few red outfits. I looked myslef over quickly and took a deep breath. No matter how many times, I put on something like this, and showed him. No how many times he attacked me. I still felt so nervous leaving the bathroom. I took a breath, and as if on que, Norman yelled.
"Get your sexy little ass out here! I know you look amazing," he said from the other side of the door. I giggled as I opend the door.
"I had a plan," I said. He smiled looking me over.
"Yeah, same one as usual. You go into here and put that on, and spend ten minutes on decieding on if your comming out. When I finnaly get you out of there, you stand all nervous and cute, looking like you haven't done this for me a couple times already," he knew me too well. I made a face.
"I was going to come out and look sexy this time," I said. In my head I planned to do that every time, then I got nervous and just looked dumb. He smiled, kissing at my cheek.
"That's your plan very time," he said, reading my mind. "Your too fuckin adorable though, and get nervous. I don't even know why, becuase your sexy as fuck already," Norman said. Smiling sliding his hands around my body. I maoned lowly. "Now, you wanna be adorable and try to be sexy for me, or you wanna just go be sexy on the bed?" He asked. I growled lowly as I ran to the bed. He laughed. I laid down, he smlied bigger coming beside me
"I guess, I can just skip looking like an idiot today," I said. He shook his head.
"You never look like an idiot. I don't understand what gets you so nervous," he said kissing at me. I moaned.
"I don't know," I said lolwy and blushed. He smiled. I knew what it was. He had been with modles, he knew what sexy looked like. I didn't get what he saw in me, because I couldn't do anything sexy. I wouldn't tell him that though. He made a face, because he already knew.
"Your worried you won't look like the modles, you know I've been with," he said. I huffed, why did he know that. He smiled. "You look better," he kissed at me some more. I smiled, I loved how he could love on me and we could have a conversation. It was kinda weird and yet, amazed me every time. "Your only sexy for me, not eveyone, and," he said kissing along thr font 'V' of my dress. "When you get nervous I find it sexy. Shows me you really care what I think," he said suck gently as he kissed. I moaned lowly. I loved this.
"I'm not gonna lie, I don't think I can pull off modeling anything for you. I feel like your going to laugh, at me," I said lowly, he already knew I couldn't do it. He scrunched up his face.
"Why? What makes you less sexy then them other girls?" He asked. He had stopped kissing me, he was serious. I shrugged. They had confadance maybe. "I want you to tell me," he said.
"I don't know, I'm not conferent?" I asked. He made a face, he didn't believe that was it.
"Try, I won't laugh. Try what you think would look sexy. Because your just sitting here and I think your sexy, and I'm ready to attack you, but show me," he said kissing my cheek. I blushed furiously, he smiled. "I'll make you wait, untill you do," he teased. I huffed again. Why couldn't I have just come out of that bathroom struck a pose like I was sexy and let it go. Why was I always so scared he'd finnaly see how much of a no body i was. I wasn't sexy, I want a moldel. "Sitting there stewing over being nervous isn't going to make this go any faster," Norman was reading my mind again. I huffed again.
"Don't look at me," I said. He smiled shaking his head and looked away. I took a deep breath and tried to think of a way to look sexy. I was comming up blank. I finnaly decied to sit up a little more, and fix my outfit. Trying to make my boobs look good. I bit my lip not sure what to do with my legs as I crossed them, trying to make it look sexy. I placed a hand on my leg trying to make it look casual. The other kinda played wit my hair. "Fine," I gave up. "I can't do sexy," I said. Norman looked at me.
"You look stuff and really uncomfortable," he said. "Relax, baby its just me, I've seen you naked a thousand times, why does this make you so nervous?" He asked. I shrugged again, bitting at my lip. He smiled. "Fuck, that's sexy," he said kissing me. I looked at him confused when we parted.
"What I do?" I asked. he smiled.
"When you look nervous, you looked sexy, becuase I guess it shows me your still afraid to lose me," he said cupping my face kissing me. I looked at him when we parted.
"Of course I'm afraid of losing you, evey day, I feel like your gonna see I'm nothing specal. I'm not a model or an actress. This illusion, you have of how beautiful I am is going to fade away, and your going to see, I'm just a plain average girl," I said. Finnaly confessing my fears. Noman shook his head.
"There's no reason, to worry. One, I've seen you with out make up, first thing in the morning, and sick. Your still beautiful and I still wanna be with you. It's that damn anxiety, you have. Besides I'm still wondering why your with me. I'm an old man, and you've seen me drunk," he kinda laughed. I made a face at him.
"I never realized how much you worry about what I think of our age difference," I said. He shrugged. "One I don't even think about that, when I'm with you. I forger how old you are untill you bring it up, and yes I've seen you drunk, and I'm about to start you drinking so I can get laid," I laughed, Norman chuckled. Kissing at me again.
"You started it, with being all shy. You got nothing to worry about, your gonna leave me before I ever think about leaving you," he said, pushing my dress out of the way, so he could get to my brest. I moaned, lowly.
"I guess then we will be together for the rest of our lives," I smiled. Norman did to.
"Ohh sounds good," he growled as I was quick to find his manhood. Our talking was over for now, as he moved back to my lips and laid me down. Pulling at my dress as he did. I smile, I knew the outfit was only good for a little while, but I did love the way he looked at me when I came out in one. My dress was quickly off and Norman's hand replaced his mouth on my brest. I moaned lowly. Kissing him with as just as much want as he kissed me.
"Did you have any other plans?" He panted as he stopped kissing me for a second. I giggled.
"Just to make love to you, untill you had to go," I said out of breath, too. He smiled.
"Sounds like a good plan," he said, attacking my lips again. I smiled. I pushed at his boxers and he was quick to kick them off. He started kissing down my body and pulling down my thongs. He looked me over again once I was naked. "So sexy," he said kissing down my body and finding one of my brests. I smiled, if he thought so I wouldn't argue. I moaned lowly, arching my back. He knew how to work his tongue, no matter where he used it. He finished with my brests and looked up at me. Then looked at the night stand and grabbed one of the massage lotions I had out. He smiled as he put some in his hand and started running my shoulders. I hummed.
"I wanted to give you a back rub," I said, remebering why I gotten them one out. He kissed me slowly.
"You can after I'm done," he said moving down my back. I hummed. He was amazing. After a while he stopped. "Oh, I got soemthing!" He said getting up. I watched him. He went to the closet and look from something comming back, with another bottle. I looked at him with a smile. He took my fingure and put a squirt on it. I looked at him, he led my hand down to my center and and helped me rub it on. It was warm and started to tingle.
"That will make it feel better," he whispered. I kissed him.
"I might die," I laughed, he smiled.
"Can you die from too much pleasure?" He asked. I giggled.
"I think it might be possible if you add that to it," I laughed. He smiled kissing me again and starting to work my body up, as if he needed too. It didn't take him long odviously, as he laid me down.
"You ready?" He asked. I was in my own little world as I nodded. He kissed me hard as he slid in to me slowly. I maoned, aparently he was right, this felt amazing. We started moving together, not wasting any time. It felt amazing and different, besides the jell and maybe the lack of sex for the past week. I had never known how good it felt to have him inside me.
"Feel so fuckin good!" I moaned. Norman claimed my lips as he moved faster, I knew he was getting close, as he started rubbing at my nub, and fondling my brest. It all felt so good as I felt a white hotness, fill me to the brink. My hands tangled in his hair as I rode out my orgasum. We stopped kissing, but Norman stayed on me, in me, I held him. I didn't care we were hot and sweaty, I loved him so close. He finally picked his head up to look at me. He smiled down at me.
"I love you," he said. I pulled him in to another kiss.
"I love you too," I told him when we parted. He smiled getting off of me. I rolled after him.
"Should have eaten first," he said. I looked t him confused. he laughed. "So sexy. You! I should have eaten you, before I. Well next time," he said. I giggled.
"Ohh," Yeah I'm suprised, Usualy that's the first thing you go to," I giggled as he lit a ciggarette. He smiled.
"Had more on my mind, " he I smiled, laying on his chest. I kissed at it.
"Next time," I agreed. "But I am seriously hungry," I said. Norman chuckled.
"That's good, but you only allowed to wear my tshirt, " he said, I smiled, burried my head in his chest and nodding.
"Alright," I agreed. I waited for him to finish his ciggarette and then we got up. Norman put on his boxers and handed me his tshirt. I smiled. It was just big enough. He smiled.
"You look so fuckin sexy," he kissed my lips. I giggled. We went out to the. Kitchen and I looked around for something to eat. Norman was quickly at me again. "Hurry up," he said, kissing me. I giggled.
"What do you want?!" I asked. He smiled, licking his lips.
"I'm not on the menu right now," i giggled. He grummbled. Heading to the left over pizza him and Mingus order the night before. I smiled, grabbing a pice and taking a bit. Norman chuckled.
"You can be so amazing," he told me taking a bit of his own. I smiled.
"Why?" I asked. He looked at me.
"You just are," he smiled. We quickly ate and Norman had me back in the bedroom. I was the most exhusted I had been in the longest time, when Norman was getting ready to go get Mingus. I smiled at him as he got dressed. He smiled down at me as he leaned in to kiss me.
"I don't think I've ever been this happy," I said lookig up at him. He arched an eyebrow. "In a relationship, " I clarified. He smiled.
"It's amazing," he agreed. I got up kissing him again. He laughed pulling me in to hold me a moment.
"I got to go," he said. I groaned.
"We pick up where we left off, tonight?" I asked. He smiled.
"You decied to shower, again, and I'll pick up a little further south," he smiled. I giggled.
"Maybe you can help me?" I asked innocently. He smiled.
"Umm, sounds good," he agreed kissing me. I smiled after him as he got up. I was quick to fallow throwing on his shirt, and fallowing him to the door.
"I love you," I told him as he got on his coat. He kissed me again.
"I love you too," he said as he, headed out. I smiled as I went back to our room to find some pants. I threw my hair up and went out to the living room, setting on thr couch and turned on the tv. I was bored as hell, by the time Norman and Mingus came in. I never just sat anymore. I got up to find them. Mingus looked at me, I saw him take in me wearing Norman's shirt and my hair, a messy bun . He smiled shaking his head.
"Your all better," he said. I smiled.
"Yes the doctor said I'm clear," I smiled. He nodded,
"That's good," he smiled. Noeman came beside me and kissed me hard. Mingus groned. "I take it back, I liked it better when you were sick!" He said, walking away. I giggled. Norman waved him off and kissed me again. Slow and sweet, I giggled, I didn't know what had him so worked up, but I liked it.
"I missed you too," I said lowly. He smiled.
"So beautiful!" He breathed, I smiled.
"I love you," I felt dumb, but it was the only response I had. He chuckled.
"I love you too," he said.
"I'm glad you two covered that," Mingus was back. I giggled. Norman made a face.
"I saw you talking to that girl, who is she?" Norman asked. I smiled. Mingus made a face. Odviously he hadn't told his dad about his girlfriend? Or there wasn't one to tell about. Maybe I miss understood the point of the mall trip. I didn't ask him anything about it when we came home. I figured it wasn't my place.
"What girl?" Mingus asked, brushing his dad off. Norman smiled.
"Shorter then you, but tall, thin, brunette, giggling at everything you said," Norman said. Mingus made a face.
"Ohh, Addison? Yeah she was talking to me," he said. Like it was nothing. Norman eyed him
"Just a friend?" Norman asked. I smiled.
"Norman," I said lowly. He made a face.
"But he started it," he whined. I rolled my eyes.
"How old are we?" I asked. Mingus laughed. I eyed him. He made another face.
"Fine," he rolled his eyes. "But I need to talk to Stephanie, alone," he told Norman. Norman made a face.
"What got you two so close?" He asked. I giggled. Kissing his cheek.
"Don't worry, we can talk alone later," I said lowly. Norman smiled his crooked, little half smile.
"Ew," Mingus said. I smiled at Norman. He smiled and walked off.
"What's up?" I asked Mingus he smiled.
"What are we doing for Dad's birthday?" He asked.
"I was thinking dinner and cake," I said, Mingus made a face.
"Well yeah, but what?" He asked, I smile.
"Mac and cheese of course, and chocolate," I said. He smiled.
"That sounds good. Presants?" He asked. I smiled.
"Yeah, I bough a few things extra when I was buying Christmas presents," I said. He smiled.
"Mom and I went shopping," he told me I nodded. "Now what do you want me to do?" He asked. I smiled.
"Unless you wanna cook, I'd say you get the job of getting your dad out of the house," I smiled. Mingus nodded.
"We all know I can waist time like no one else," he laughed. I giggled too remembering our Walmart trip, back in Georgia.
"Yes we do," I agreed. "Now if you wanna go do something after school then, that will give me time to cook," I smile. Mingus nodded.
"Mom and I also got balloons and streamer," Mingus told me. I smiled.
"Ohh good!" I said happily.
"What time, should we be back by?" Mingus asked. I thought a second.
"I'll text you," I told him. The cake would take the longest. "Are your present wrapped?" I asked, he nodded. I smiled.
"Alright," I agreed. "Then I think we have everything figured out. I said, Mingus nodded. We walked in to the living room. Norman had taken over the tv. I smiled as I sat on one side of him and Mingus sat on the other. Norman eyed me.
"I don't trust you two," he said, I giggled and kissed him.
"You have nothing to worry about," I said leaning against him. Norman made another face.
"If your planning something for tomorrow, stop. I told you not to worry about it," he said to us. I shook my head.
"Calm down," I told him. Mingus eyed his dad.
"Dad it's your birthday why wouldn't you want anything done?" He asked. Norman sighed.
"I'm old dude," he forced a laugh. I slapped his arm. He rubbed it.
"Ow! What was that for?" He asked. I rolled my eyes.
"That didn't hurt, and your not allowed to call yourself old. Becuase there are a list of things I'm not allowed to say about myself," I told him. Norman looked at me.
"The thing is, you say things that aren't true. I am old," he said. I sapped his arm again "Ow!" He said again.
"Grow up ya big baby," I said. I knew I wasn't hitting him hard enough to hurt him. "No your not and your not allowed to say that, " I said. Norman huffed.
"Fine," he said. I smiled. "Ture, though," he grumbled under his breath. I sighed.
"If your old, then I'm not pretty," I told him. He looked at me, unamused. I arched an eyebrow at him.
"You are a pain in my ass," he said. I smiled.
"And you mine," I told him. He smiled, and kissed me.
"I love you, though," Norman said after out kiss. I smiled more.
"I love you too," I told him. Mingus didn't make a sound, which I thought was odd. He and Norman were always bugging each other. I smiled though. It was nice, just to be happy like this.
The night, went on and other then making dinner, we were pretty lazy. Mingus made up some exuce to go to the mall after school, the next day. Norman grummbled and asked why he hadn't asked him earlier. Mingus said he had forgotten. I giggled, Norman said he didn't find either of us amusing.
By the end of the night, I had fallen asleep on Norman, as usual. Woken up, bought to bed, and bushed my teeth. I could never figure out what put me to sleep. I didn't do anything all that tiring today. I mean Norman and I had made love a couple times, and it was tiring, a little. Nothing that we hadn't done before, though.
By the time Norman crawled in beside me, and pulled me close, I was awake. He kissed me slow, running his hand up my thigh. I moaned, lowly. He smiled at me when we parted. I smiled back. His intentions were clear and expected.
"You are so beautiful," he said kissing my neck. I giggled.
"Your sexy," I told him. He stopped and looked down at me. Leaning it on and did kissing my lips slowly and sweet. I pulled him closer, he was literally on top of me. I loved his closeness. His hands slipped down my body, untill they reached my legs, pulling them around his waist. My arms went around his neck, depending our kiss. By the end of our slow love making. Norman smiled down at me, still entangled in me.
"God your so amazing! I love you so much," he said kissing me one more time despite being out of breath. I smiled up at him. I knew it was after midnight, we had gone to bed late as usual.
"Happy birthday, my sexy amazing man!" I said, pulling him in to a hug. He held me back. "When I look at you I still see Murphy, from the first movie," I told him he laughed.
"Why Murphy?" He aksed, getting off me. I giggled.
"I love Murphy," I said. He laughed.
"What other movies have you watched?" He asked. I smiled.
"Floating, Bad Seed. Only till the part where you died in, Let the Devil wear Black. Boondock Saints, of couse. Blade," I named off all the movies I had seen. He smiled leaning back with his ciggarette.
"So I don't look like Van?" He asked. I giggled.
"Baby, Van was cute, but you look so young in that movie, it's hard to believe you were legal," I giggled. He laughed.
"I was almost thirty, when that was shot. Even if I wasn't, you wouldn't have been either, so it wouldn't have mattered. Actually I'd of been the one getting in trouble, back then," he said. I laughed.
"Are you kidding me? Wow! Yeah, that was what year?" I asked. He nodded.
"Told you I was old," I eyed him. "It was shot in '97 and released in '99," he added. My eyes were wide.
"Murphy looks older," I said. I knew there was an age difference between us, but when he said he was almost thirty when I was between seven and nine, it hit me how big it actually was. It still didn't bother me, I loved him more the anything, I just guess it never really though about it. He nodded.
"You just realized how much of a difference there is. I know I'm old," he said. I shook my head. "You were born in what '90? That made you, nine when that movie was released," he said. I nodded. He eyed me, as he put out his ciggarette. I got up and startled his waist. He watched me, eyes wide. I leaned in and kissed him, then smiled.
"It doesn't matter. I don't love you any less," I smiled. "I actually thought you a were like eighteen or nineteen, in that movie, so you have good genes, make you look younger," I said, he smiled and shook his head. I laid down, so I was on top of him. His arms came around me.
"What's up?" He asked. I listend to his heart.
"I'm not leaving. Just because there is a difference in age. I not leaving. Love knows no age, and I've never been this happy before," I said. I felt his arms tighten around me.
"Me either, not in a long time," he agreed kissing my head. I kissed his chest, right on his tattoo, over his heart.
"Stop calling yourself old, then," I said. I heard him chuckel.
"Alright, but only for you," he said. I smiled looking up agreed him. "Now, if you don't get off me, there's going to be a round two," he said. I smiled, lazily running my fingures around his chest. I felt him harden on my leg.
"Old men don't go for round two, they'd be too tired," I said lowly, with a smiled. Norman cocked a smile.
"Your in trouble," he said, rolling us over so he was now hovering above me. I smiled up at him. He leaned in and kissed my lips then down my neck and to my chest. I moaned lowly. He smiled up at me.
"More," I begged. Norman kissed me. He smiled, and noded
It was a long slow night of love making. It was different now, more intense. It had been all that day. Something was different now, I just didn't know what or why. As we cuddled together, Norman looked down at me. I smiled up at him. He leaned in to kiss me.
"I'm the happiest man in the world, you know that right?" He asked. I smiled.
"I do now and, I'm so happy!" I said, kissing him. We cuddled close and went to sleep.
The next morning, Norman woke me up getting out of bed. I smiled at him, knowing he was going to take Mingus to school. We shared a quick kiss, and I wished him happy birthday again. He kissed me again and told me he'd be back. I nodded sleepily.
Sure enough, Norman was back, kissing at me to wake me up. I smiled pulling him back in to bed. I was so sleepy, but I knew he had to be just as sleepy if not more. He pulled me close, and I laid my head on his chest. He gently played with my hair.
"You wanna go back to sleep? Or you wanna take a shower?" He asked. I sighed lowly, happy and content. I looked up asked him.
"It's your day, whatever you want," I said lowly, smiling. He smiled.
"It's think we can lay here a little while longer," he said, pulling me up a to kiss me. I smiled, happily. The rest of the day was spent mostly in bed. It was his day to decide what he wanted and I was never happier that it was to spend time with me. We made it out of bed for a shower, but it wasn't too long after we were clean, Norman was out to make me dirty again. By the time he had to leave to go get Mingus I was exhusted, and welcomed the break.
We walked out to the door, ans he kissed me good bye. I smiled telling him good bye and to have fun at the mall. He smiled, but kinda grummbled saying at least he got to spend his morning the way he had wanted. I giggled. I went to the living room and watched him walk down the side walk.
Then I rushed to the kitchen to start on the cake, and dinner. Norman and I had a pretty opend relationship. If we ever wanted to see each others phone's the other never objected. I few times we had just handed the other one our phone to do something becuase we were busy. So hiding the recipe for the cake was nurve racking.
I knew Norman wouldn't just go therw my phone for no reason. Then again, other then his birthday plans I had nothing to hide. I started making the cake, knowing it would take the longest. I knew my mac and cheese recipe by heart, but the cake and home made chocolate frosting would take some time. I was no Betty Crocker, but I could fallowed a recipe. I had told Norman that when we got together and he just laughed and told me it was more then he could do.
I smiled to myself remebering that, as I put the cake in the oven. I went to start on the frosting when I I got a text from Norman. He was complaining that Minghella refused to tell him why they were even at the a mall. I laughed, and told him to be patient. His response was less then enthusiasts. I giggled and told him not to worry at least when he got home I'd have dinner ready. That answer was a little happier, as I finished up the frosting and went to get dressed.
I figured, it was kinda important I put some clothes on. I knew Norman liked the way I looked in his shirt and a pair of swears, but it was hardly something to be wearing all the time. I smiled as I slipped in to some jeans. I had bearly wore any real clothes sence getting sick. It had mostly been Norman's shirts and shorts, or sweat pants. Not that I didn't enjoy wearing his clothes, and having him tell me how beautiful I was in them.
I smiled as I thought about that. I loved how beautiful he always made me feel. It didn't matter if I was in a little black dress or an old band shirt. Norman always told me it was beautiful. As finished fixing my hair and adding a little eye liner. I knew it was just the three of us, but I wanted to look good for Norman.
I headed back out to check on the cake. I saw EITD sitting on the counter. That was one thing Norman and I had disagreed on. I picked him up.
"Silly kitty," I said kissing his head. He purred as I checked his food dish. I set him down and filled it. He seemed happy with that as he began to eat. I checked the cake, it was still to hot to frost. I sighed. I thought if we needed anything. I checked Norman's Jack, he was almost out. I figured it would be nice for him to have a drink when he got home. I decied to head down to the store and get him another bottle.
I bundled up and headed out to the store. The best part about being in New York City, was everything you wanted was in walking distance. I decied to make sure he had and not extra couple packs of ciggarette's too. After I had some coke, Jack, and ciggarette's I headed home.
I decied it was about time to start making dinner. I started the water and, then cutting up the cheese. That took the longest, I swear. After the noodles were done and it was mostly put together, I texted Mingus letting him know, that they could head home. He was quick to text me back and let me know, Norman was already grumpy. I smiled to myself, telling Mingus, he would be happier when they got home. Norman was texting me next wanting to know if I was texting Mingus and what we were up to. I giggled, and asked him if they were heading home. He said yes, they would be there soon. Norman answered with a short 'yes'. I could tell he was frustrated with Mingus's antics. I checked the cake again, it was finnaly cooled and I started frosting it.
It wasn't long after dinner was done and the cake was ready, Norman texted they were comming up. I smiled making him a drink and meeting them at the door. Mingus smiled as he came in. I smiled back. Norman came in starting to yell.
"Damn, kid I don't even know what the hell," he said looking at me with and smile. "Hey baby," I said. Giving him and kiss and handing him his drink after his coat was off.
"Hello, smells amazing in here," he smiled. Giving me a kiss. I smiled.
"Hungry?" I asked, he took a sip of his drink, nodding.
"Yes baby. God job on the drink," he said as we walked in to the kitchen. Mingus was almost drooling over the mac and cheese. I made a face at him.
"Hey!" I said. He smiled. "Out," I said, he made a face and moved
I giggled. "I'm hungry!" He protested. I smiled
"It's your dad's birthday he gets to eat first. You were first on your birthday," I said. Mingus sighed.
"Fine," he said. Norman pulled me in to his arms. I smiled.
"You little sneek!" He asked with a laugh. I giggled as he kissed me. "I love you," he added after our kiss. I smiled at him.
"I didn't do it alone," I told him, he laughed.
"Oh, I kinda figured, he had something to do with it," Norman said, as he went and hugged Mingus. Mingus smiled.
"Happy birthday dad," he said. Norman was still smiling.
"Thanks buddy," he said. Then Norman tired back to me. "And I told you, not to make a big deal out of my birthday," he stopped. I was throwing him a look.
"You say it again Reedus, and I swear, Eye, will look like Garfield, because I will give him this whole pan of Mac and cheese," I said. Norman growled, but stayed quiet. He come behind me and hugged me.
"You are amazing," he sais kissing my head. I giggled and turned to kiss him.
"I love you that's why," I said. He smiled, kissing me again.
"Ok, never mind, I've lost my appetite!" Mingus complained. I giggled, as we parted and started dishing out food for Norman and Mingus.
Norman found the cake and was at me again. Promising me sweet nothings in my ear, when he found out i made everthing from scratch, frosting and all. I giggled. Telling him he hadn't even tried it yet. He just assured me is true would be amazing because I made it. I laughed.
After cake was presents and Norman was more then happy, with what he had gotten him. He was very happy to see a new bottle of Jack and ciggarette's too. I giggled. It was the little things that made him happy, and I'm at liked that. After all the excitement, we settled down and watched tv. I wasn't sleepy at all. As I snuggled close to Norman. He kept kissing me and giving me 'the look' I'd giggle at him. I knew I was in trouble when Mingus finnaly went to bed.
A while later, Mingus said something about going to bed, but he was talking and leaving the room at the same time. I wasn't sure what exactly he had said. It didn't matter though Norman was pulling me up and on his lap, kissing me. I giggled as I startled his lap and kissed him back. His hands pushed at my shirt, but didn't really push it up. His hands finnaly came to rest on my hips, mine tangled in his hair, as we kissed.
"I can't even leave the room for two seconds!" Mingus complained. I was so embarrassed, I wanted to jump off Norman. I felt like a little kid being caught doing something wrong. Norman held me in place, as I burried my head in his neck, trying to hid.
"Just kissing her, chill," he said. Norman smiled up at me. "You ok?" He asked lowly. I knew my face was red. I nodded slowly. He let me off him. "I thought you went to bed," he siad to Mingus. I didn't look at him.
"I'd said, I would go after this was done. I had to use the bathroom," he said. I still couldn't look at him. "Steph, are you going to die?" He asked. I had to look at him now.
"No why?" I asked. He smiled.
"Just making sure," he said, with his father's cocky little smile on his face. I sighed.
"He's yours, that's your smile right there," I pointed out to Norman. He smiled now.
"Yeah," he agreed. The show finnaly ended and Mingus was very clear that he was going to bed, but also pointed out he sat on the couch. Norman laughed, telling him he had more women on that couch then Mingus would ever know. I arched an eyebrow and hoped he was kidding. He said he was, but something told me he wasn't.
We made it to our room, and I pushed the thought of knowing he had had other women in his bed. Right now he was very focused on me, I liked that. We made love all night and I was more then exhusted, when a Norman finnaly pulled me close, telling me how much he loved me and kissed me good night. I smiled, I told him how much I loved him, and how no matter what he said. I was the lucky one. We kissed again and fell asleep.
It had been about a week or two sence I was sick and Norman's birthday. I had settled back in thr rutine of work, my boss being and little nicer to me. I sighed, that was life. Layla had said she saw Norman come in, when I was out and asked if evething was ok. I told her about being sick and how amazing he had been threw it all. She smiled, telling me I was pretty lucky. I nodded and told her in was. We had become better friends, I learned she was happily married with two kids and both her husband and her were Norman fans. She told me she was lucky and found a man that was like what people saw Norman as. A funny, loveable dork. I smiled, becuase he was just that. He didn't put on an act for anyone.
Today though, it was my day off and Norman had taken the day off with me. I was so happy, as I left him in bed and started out to the kitchen. I had started making breakfast, when Norman walked out. When Norman came out, wrapping his arms around me. I smiled and giggled as he kissed at me.
"Good morning Beautiful," he said kissing at me. I giggled.
"I said stay in bed, I'd bring you breakfast," I giggled. Norman held me.
"Mmh, I know, but I wanted to be with you," he said, not letting me go. I smlied, I loved being this close to him and I loved that he wanted to be with me.
"Alight. But you have to let me go, so I can cook," I laughed. I heard him growle lowly. Kissing my face.
"Fine, but I don't wanna," he said, I giggle.
"Bacon or sausage?" I asked hearing tward the freezer. Norman had a hold of me again.
"I'll give ya some sausage," he laughed pushing me against the counter and kissing me. I giggled uncontrollably, as I tried to kiss him back. "I fuckin love you," he said looking down at me. I giggled, smiling up at him, lovingly.
"I fuckin love you," I said, hugging him. We parted and I looked up at him. "So sausage?" I asked. He chuckled and nodded.
"Can I wake up in the morning with out a romance book happening in the kitchen?" Mingus asked with a grumble. I giggled.
"Good morning, " I said walking over to start defrosting the sausage. "Eggs or pancakes?" I asked looking between Norman and Mingus.
"Pancakes," they agreed. I giggled, they really were related. I nodded, with a smile.
"Sounds good I said. I pulled up the resipy on my phone for pancakes. I had found one on the Internet that Norman really liked. I started cooking, and the guys went to watch tv. I was almost done when I heard a knock at the door. I shut off the panckes and went to get the door. I opend it with a unpleasant suprise on the other side.
"Ohh, your here," Kate said sounding discussed. I looked at her like she was crazy, and lost.
"I live here," I pointed out. "Why are you here?" I figured I had the right to know.
"Norman's been texting me telling me how much he missed me," she said snidly. I just looked at her, my heart was breaking. How could he do this. Why else would she be here. I sighed as I went to get Norman. He found me in the kitchen.
"Who is it?" He asked. I looked at him, almost in tears. How could he?!
"It's for you," I said, pushing past him.
"Baby? Baby girl! STEPH!" Norman yelled after me. I was on my way to the bedroom, when Mingus stopped me.
"You ok? You look like someone punched you in the stomach," he said. I bearly heard what he had said. I just nodded, I felt it. How could he? That's the only thing I could think of. I made it to the bedroom. I sat on the bed, unsure of my next move. Should I pack? Where was I going to go? Tears started to fall down my face. I thought everything was going well. I thought we were fine. Norman had just given me a promise ring for Christmas. I didn't see him come in, I just felt myself being pulled in to his arms.
"I don't know what she's thinking. I haven't spoken to her sence I broke up with her in Georgia," Norman said holding me, then kissing me slowly. "Hey, don't cry," he said wiping my tears. "I'm not going anywhere, and you arn't either," he said. I looked at him lost.
"Why?" Was all I could say. He looked at me.
"I don't know, but believe me, she means nothing. I love you," he said lifting my hand with the promise ring on it and kissed it. I smiled. I hugged him tight, I was still so comfused.
"I love you too," I told him. No matter what i knew that was the truth. He smiled kissing me hard, then growled.
"Mingus," he said looking tward the door. I nodded. " He's worried about you," he said sitting me up. I kissed him again.
"We have time," I said getting up. He smiled.
"Yes, lots of it," he agreed, as we held hands and walked out to find Mingus. He was sitting in the kitchen, waiting.
"You ok?"He asked. I nodded
"Yeah," I said lowly. Norman pulled me close, kissing the side of my head.
"Come on baby," he said, as we went to the other side of the counter and handed me a couple plates. "How many?" He asked looking at the panckes. I smiled, getting my thoughts together.
"No. No. I'll do it," I said handing him a plate. Then setting down the other two plates. "How many?" I asked. He smiled.
"Three," he smiled. I smiled. It didn't matter we had hit a small bump, but I still loved him. I always would, I had put up with more then this, before.
The day went on, and Kate's visit became nothing more then a slight distraction. By the time we were heading to bed, I had forgotten all about it. When Norman pulled me in to his arms. I giggled, kissing him sweetly.
"You are so beautiful, and I love you so much," he said, laying me down and kissing at my lips then my neck and to what he could get to of my chest. I hummed, contently.
"I love you too baby," I said, pulling him back up to kiss him.
The next morning was just like any other, I didn't want to get up when my alarm went off. I grummbled as Norman pulled me back in to his arms after I shut it off. I smiled at as I kissed at his chest.
"I have to go to work," I giggled, cuddling close to him and kissing him.
"Quit," he said rubbing my back. I giggled.
"Ok, but then you have to quit," I said, he smiled.
"You'd be the one to not care if I was broke," he said, pulling me closer, I'm not sure how. I giggled as we kissed.
"Don't want your money," I told him, when we parted. He nodded.
"I know, that's why I keep telling you to quite your job," Norman smiled. I shook my head.
"Your impossible," I giggled, as I tried to wiggle away. He held me tighter.
"Where do you think your going?" He asked I smiled.
"We need to get ready for work," I said. He grummbled, rolling his eyes and let me go.
"Fine, but we continue this later," he smiled. I smiled
"Yes," I agreed. The morning went as normal. Norman was impossible, as he wouldn't leave me alone. Kissing and holding me, and whispering sweet nothings, and begging me to stay home with him. I would just giggle at him, telling him that we had the night together.
I made it to work, in just enough time, to not get that look from my boss. I was just heading to my station when I saw her, Kate. My heart dropped. She was standing with Tish, my heart, completely fell, as they both looked up at me. I was done, I was exsposed. No wonder Tish, had it out for me, she knew who I was, and if she didn't she was about to. I tried not to completely lose it as I walked to my station. I took a few deep breaths, as I watched Tish out of the corner of my eye come over.
"Steph! Why didn't you tell me?" She asked, coming over with a smile on her face. I took a deep breath.
"What Tish?" I asked, exhaling. This was it, my secret was out.
"Your dating a celebrity!" She said excitedly. I exhaled a deep breath.
"What are you talking about?" I asked. She smiled happily.
"Daryl Dixon! The zombie slayer!" She yelled happily. My eyes went everywhere, but on her. Everyone was looking at me.
"Shh!" I hissed. "What do you want?" I whispered harshly, trying to keep this as quiet as possible. She smiled, that's when I saw Kate behind her.
"Well Steph, ya see, you have something that's mine," Kate. I sighed.
"You want me to just give up Norman?" I asked lowly. She smiled.
"Yes," she smiled. "Or Daryl's new girlfriends' got an interview, with the press," she said snidly. I looked up at her, shocked. She was sneek and underhanded, munipulative.
"Kate," I breathed. She smiled.
"Give him back," she demaded. I looked at her, she was psychotic.
"I didn't take him," I said lowly.
"Stole him!" She snapped. I looked at her, then around. Everyone was looking at us now.
"I didn't," I said lowly. She let out a growle.
"We were happy untill you came along! You messed everything up!" She was yelling at me even though I was only steps away from her. I was mortified, everyone was gathering around us. My boss made her way over to us.
"Stephanie, Tish, my office, now!" She said lowly. Just as I was turning to fallow her I saw the mob that had formed of paparazzi, and cameras flashing. Suddenly the room started moving, and I my vision went blurry, then I don't remeber, anything but waking up and Norman hovering over me.
"Baby girl!" He said panicked. I looked up at him lost. The last I knew I was at work.
"Norman," I said groggily, trying to sit up. Norman stopped me.
"Hey hey, don't hurt yourself," he said lowly. I nodded slowly.
"What happend?" I asked, holding my head, it was killing me. Norman helped me sit up, on the couch, in my bosses office. I looked around at Trish, and my boss, then back at Norman.
"You had a panic attack, I think. That's what it sounded like anyways," Norman said throwing an look at Tish. I looked at her too.
"Where's Kate?" I asked annoyed. Tish made a face.
"She was kicked out, and she is not allowed back," my boss told me. I looked at her.
"Why was she here?" I asked. Tish looked pissed off.
"She's my cousin, and she told me that you took her boyfriend. She also told me you, we're very modist and didn't want to be the center of attention. So we decided to put you on the spot, you'd eaither cave or be exsposed. I know how you didn't want anyone to know anything about your boyfriend," she said still cocky. I made a face.
"You two really are evil," I said lowly, my head still pouding. She shrugged.
"Yes. Well, Stephanie the parametrics will be here soon," my boss informed me. I nodded slowly. "Once there exam is done, and I'd you aren't required to go to the hospital you can go home for the day," She said. I nodded again. My head was pounding more.
"Steph, I really want you to reconsider this," Norman said lowly. I looked at him. I knew what he ment. He knew now that I was exsposed, I wouldn't be able to lead a smi-normal life. I mean Norman was a private person. Although we had been filmed together, it wasn't anything to worry about. Now I had Tish starting trouble, and, Norman was just looking out for me. I sighed, nodding at him.
"I think, this will be my last day," I said lolwy. She looked at me.
"I hope you will reconsider," she said. I sighed. I could see Norman's veins popping slightly in his neck, he wanted to say something.
"I just can't work under these conditions," I said, trying to sound firm. She looked at me.
"I really hope some rest will say your decision, ans I hope you don't think that I would just let Tish get way with her little outburst. I run a respectable business here, she is getting fired for her stunt today," my boss said. I looked suprised, but not as suprised as Tish. She started to speak, but was quickly cut off and sent to pack up her station.
The parametrics came and looked me over. I was cleared to go home, I had a slight concussion. Norman was quick to weave me threw the mob of photographers, and in to an awaiting car. I sighed as we got in the car, and headed home. Norman just looked at me a long time. I smiled at him.
"What?" I asked. He sighed.
"This is all my fault," he said lowly, and looking out the window. I shook my head and pulled his face, back to look at mine.
"No, it's not, it's part of being with you, but it's not your fault. I knew things like this would happen, when I got with you. I knew what I was getting in to. I made the decision all on my own, I love you," I said. Norman smiled.
"I kinda, helped you make a decision," he chuckled, and kissed my lips sweetly. I giggled.
"No, I made the decision all on my own. Long before you ever made a move," I told him. Norman smiled at me.
"You wanted to be with me from the beginning didn't you?" He asked. I smiled.
"Yes," I blushed, but it was the truth and he had asked. He smiled more.
"Me too," he said. I smiled we shared another quick kiss as we made it to the apartment. I shuddered as I saw the swarm of paparazzi already outside our building. Norman grabbed my hand. "I got you," he said.
As he opend the door and we weaved out way threw them. It was like slow motion for me, I couldn't hear what they were saying I just saw flashing of cameras and mouth moving all at once, while microphone's were shoved in my face. I turned to look at Norman, he had a serious look on his face and his jaw was set, the vein on his neck, almost piping out. I let my breath go once we were inside. He looked over at me and pulled me along to the door of the apartment.
Once inside he looked like he had relaxed some as we took off our coats and shoes. He looked at me worried. I looked back at him, and I'm not sure what exactly I looked like to him, because he came and hugged me tight. I held him back, and started to cry. He held me for a long time, then finnaly let go.
"You should go get pjs on. Comfy clothes, try to relax. I'll be in the living room," Norman said lowly and walked away. I sighed, he was reconsidering everything. I wasn't cut out for his life style and now he knew it. I started to cry, I didn't want to lose him. Norman was the best thing in the world that had ever happend to me. I loved evey thing about him. It took me a little while to change. I was to busy trying to mentally prepare for Norman dumping me. I finnaly, changed in to my pjs, took off what was left of my make up, and threw my hair up. I looked at myself in the mirror. Yep it was official I looked as bad as I felt. With a heavy sigh, I made my way out to Norman. He was texting, but as soon as I walked in he looked up and held out his arms for me
"Come here, baby," he said, as he pulled me in to his arms. I snuggled in to his chest.
"I'm sorry!" I sobbed, trying to get my defense out, was going to be hard, if I couldn't make any sence. Norman pulled away to look at me.
"For what? This isn't your fault. I don't blame you, it's not like your use to this. I mean we have seen paparazzi here and there, but you have never been in the swarm of it. You asked to stay out of the lime light as much as possible and you know I'm ok with that. I'm not mad at you, and I don't blame you, so whatever you have imagined might happen, just push it out of you mind. I know how creative you can get in situations," he smiled and kissed me. I smiled, and cried again. It was a relief and they were happy tears.
"I love you!" was all I could manage. He smiled, pulling me back in to his chest.
"I love you and believe me, I still can't imagine life with out you," he said kissing my head. I smiled.
"Believe me, that's mutchual," I said. Norman kissed my head.
"I'm glad to hear that," he said. "Ohh, Mingus was texting me, aparently one of his friends saw that you were on giving an interview and asked him about it," Norman said. I looked up at him.
"What he say?" I asked. Norman kinda sighed.
"Wanted to know what was going on, and if you were ok," Norman said. I smiled.
"I assume you told him I'm fine?" I asked. Norman was playing with my hair.
"Yeah, told him, I was with you, and eveything would be fine," he said. I smiled.
"Yes," I agreed, I knew with Norman, I was safe, and nothing would happen to me. I was snuggled safe in Norman's arms, and just about asleep when his phone rang and woke me up. I sat up and looked, at him. He smiled, and pulled me back in to his arms. I laid-back and listed. I mean he did pull me back to him.
"Yeah," he said. I could hear the faint mumbling. I listend. "Yeah, I saw them. We are," Norman answered. I wondered who he was talking to. "Yes, for both of us," he said.
I sat up. Something made me want to get up. I went to the window. Looking at all thr paparazzi that were still outside, waiting. Then I saw her Kate, just like she was the one calling to me. She looked directly at me. Her gaze was paralyzing. I had all I could do to start breathing again. Backing away from the window, and rushing back to Norman. He was my protection from her. He was off the phone as I crawled back in to his arms.
"What's wrong?" He asked panicked. I looked up at him. I could see myself in his eye's. I looked like I had just seen something horrible.
"She's out there, watching," I said lowly trying to shake the way her eyes burned in to me. Norman nodded.
"I'm having a restraining order put on her. It's sad, I didn't want it to come to that, but she just doesn't take a hint," Norman sighed. I knew he didn't like being an asshole to people. I pulled him close kissing his cheek.
"It's ok baby," I said lowly. I wanted to reassure him, make him understand it would be ok. He held me tight.
"I know, I just hate the fact she brought you in to this. She didn't have to do that," he was angry. I shook my head and pulled away so he could see me.
"Just another part of being with you, and I wouldn't change it," I told him kissing him again. He smiled.
"Don't know why," he said. I giggled.
"Because I love you," I said, with a smile and it was the truth. Norman smiled back, then lost his smile.
"I really would like you to quite your job, though," he said lowly. I sighed. I knew he was trying to protect me.
"Yeah, I didn't like it much anyways," I said, trying to sound convincing. He smiled.
"Thank you. With what happend, I'd just feel safer knowing you were home and safe," Norman said. I nodded. A small brake before we went back to Georgia would be nice.
"Alright," I agreed. "Just untill we go back to Georgia," I told him. He nodded.
"Ok, at least there I can make sure your safe," he said pulling me close again. I smiled, and settled in to his chest. At some point I fell asleep, but that was inevitable. I was safe and I knew it. I jumped when Norman shifted.
"Sorry baby," he said. As I sat up and looked at him. I blinked slowly.
"It's ok," I yawned, and streched.
"I have to go get Mingus," he said. I nodded sheepishly.
"Alright," I agreed. I leaned back on the couch and watched him leave. My eyes were heavy and I closed them.
I heard the door shut and I jumped. I wasn't sure, if Norman had left or came back. I got up and listend. I didn't hear anything as I walked to see if he was home or had left. I was just about to the door when Mingus came around the corner. I jumped and let out a yelp. He looked at me a second.
"You ok?" He asked. I nodded, as my hand held my chest.
"Fine," I breathed. Norman was behind him.
"Baby girl why are you so jumpy?" He asked. I looked at him getting my heart beat back to normal.
"Just wasn't sure if you were comming in or leaving," I breathed, he nodded.
"I knew you were asleep, you know you carry on conversations while you sleep, with me," He ssid. I looked at him.
"What I say?" I asked. He smiled, Mingus had moved, and Norman came over to kiss me.
"I came back in, said I loved you and told you I'd be back. You said you loved me and I kissed you," he explained. I looked up at him.
"I don't remeber any of that. I said. He sighed.
"I knew it," he said with a sigh again. I smiled.
"But I do love you," I said kissing him. Norman smiled.
"I know," he said as he kissed my nose. I giggled.
"Just stop!" Mingus complained. I giggled.
"How was school?" I asked. He sighed.
"Shool," he answered. I smiled.
"Homework?" I asked. He shook his head. He was usually pretty good about doing it before he came home.
"What happend today?" He asked. I looked at Norman who looked at me.
"I told him it was up to you," he said. I shurgged.
"Kate," I said. Mingus huffed.
"Can't she take a hint?" He grummbled. I kinda smiled.
"Aparently her cousin worked with me, but I didn't know it. She had told her, that I had stolen your dad. So they thought up this plan to humiliate me untill I agreed to stop dating your dad I guess," I explained. Mingus scrunched up his face.
"That doesn't even make sense," he said. "Like that's going to just be like, ok here, have him back. That's dumb," Mingus was clearly upset. I kinda shrugged and sighed.
"I don't know what she was thinking. I guess she really likes your dad," I didn't really know why she would do this, other then that, and that she didn't like me. Mingus made a scoffing sound.
"Likes him! She likes his bank account!" Mingus yelled. I shugged again. Norman kinda laughed.
"Well it didn't work, and Stephanie agreed to stop working and stay home. I know she will be safe here," Norman said, pulling me close. I smiled. Mingus kinda made another face.
"That Sucks you have to leave your job, jus to keep the crazy people away from you," Mingus said. I shook my head
"No, she isn't allowed back at my work, and her cousin got fired, I just want to be home," I said. He looked at me, but finnaly agreed.
The rest of the evening went alright. We ordered in, because Norman insisted I had had a stressful day. He was right, but I still could have cooked. By the end of the night when we crawled in to bed. I was more then willing for sleep. Norman agreed as I tried to kiss him playfully and he told me tonight was for cuddling. I smiled up at him, with a nodded and kissed him again.
"I couldn't agree more. Good night baby I love you," I said snuggling in to his chest. Norman kissed my head.
"Good Night baby girl, I love you too," he said. Holding me close as we fell asleep.
