Remembering Her

Jeff drove Alexia to her house.

"Uh, Jeff. Can I ask you something?"

"Yeah, sure. What?"

"Why are you doing all of this things?"

"What things?" Jeff asked curiously.

"I mean, why are you doing this to me?"

"You deserve it. That's it."

"I don't know Jeff. But anyway thanks."

"Anything for you Alexia."

"Well, this is it. This is my house."

"When will I see you again?"

"You can see me anytime. I guess.."

"Sure. I hope I will."

"Bye Jeff. I really had a great time."

Yeah she did have a great time.

Alexia was walking through their porch. Smiling, happily walking.

Then her mother showed up.

"Someone looks happy."

"Yes. That someone would be me Mom."

"Hi sweetie. Where you've been? And who drove you home."

"Oh., Jeff and I went to the Enchanted CIty. Then we watched fireworks. You know mom, we should do that sometime or you know.. go out and have fun . " Alexia said cheerfully and she from the looks of her face, she is really happy.

"Sweetie, who is Jeff?"

"Oh.."Alexia didn't know what to say to her mom.

Who is he?

"Uh.. he's a friend."

"Is he also the one you went out with yesterday?"

"Yes. There's nothing wrong with that Mom."

"I know Sweetie, But --"

Alexia cut off before her mom can even finish what she was about to say..

"But what Mom?! You're the one who told me to move on. Forget what happend. I'm just trying to live like a normal person again. Is that such a bad thing Mom? Tell me. For once, I'm just trying to be happy once in a while."

"You're just frustrated. Go to your room. You should take a rest. We should continue this later."

Then just like that, Alexia went to her room.

She cried. Then she just realized. There haven't been a time she forgot about Eugene. Except for those times she's been with Jeff.

Yeah, Jeff made her happy.

But when she thinks about Eugene. She just felt weak.

She went to visit Eugene in the hospital once. But she never came back.

She wanted to stay with him forever. But she can't. The thought of seeing the person she loved, lying in a hospital bed. Helplessly. She can't do any thing.

Eugene's mom said to her "Go, you should talk to him. The Doctor's said that he can hear everything we say. That he can feel our presence."

She said everything she wanted to tell him.

With graduation just around the corner. She and her mom are planning for College.

"College" She thought, while looking at a picture of her and Eugene.
