Surprise!

     The trial for Danny's murder started. Just when I had finally found a way to live life and forget about it he came back to haunt me. Alec wouldn't let me go to the trial. 8 months pregnant. I'm already under stress from the fear of giving birth and he says any more stress like the fear of the trial could make me go into a labor early or it could hurt the baby. I still wanted to go. I mean I'm so close to the due date it couldn't hurt. Plus he has a heart condition and he's going. So Alec sat across from me looking down at his food clearly not wanting to look at me. Probably because I was glaring at him. Maybe because he felt guilty. "So you're not going to look at me," I stated as I stabbed a piece of broccoli. "Not going to tell your girlfriend..."

       "Marry me," he said as he looked up at me. My eyes went wide and he sighed. "I've been waiting to ask you that. I didn't know when to. Because you'd think it was just because you're pregnant but it's not. I mean...I love you. I want you to marry me."

       "Is this to make me stop being angry? Because it's working," I said and he laughed. He opened a case and he smiled. He showed me a beautiful ring and I put my face in my hands. "Stop making me happy!" He laughed and pushed the case towards me.

       "Say yes," he said and I held back tears.

      "Yes!" I shouted as I put the ring on and then kissed him. "Does this mean I can go to the...."

       "Nope," he said popping the p. I glared at him and went back to stabbing my food. "Oh come on! We just got engaged don't be like that!"

      "I'll be however I want to be!" I screamed and he laughed again.

       "Kat! Babe. Calm down. The baby." He said. I rolled my eyes and he pressed his lips to mine lightly. Making me not so angry anymore. I pulled him closer begging for contact but knowing it wouldn't happen because of my belly. He pulled away and smiled. "Too bad we can't have a proper engagement celebration." He kissed my stomach and smiled.

      "Can I have the baby at home? Beth is doing it," I stated and he gave me a look.

     "Well Beth doesn't have some sort of strange baby thingy that made her not even supposed to be able to have children," he said.

      Alec lay asleep but I couldn't. His phone kept going off. I eventually reached over him and grabbed his phone. A girl's name popped up. Claire. I answered it. "Hello?" I asked.

       "Who is this?" The girl asked sounding slightly worried. "Where's Alec?"

      "Bloody hell who the hell do you think you are? You call my husband and ask who the hell I am!" I shouted into the phone. So maybe I lied a bit. Alec's eyes shot open and I shook up and away from him. "Are you two hooking up?"

       "No!" She shouted into the phone. I took deep breaths and placed my hand on my stomach. I looked at Alec in anger and confusion. Tears running down my face not knowing what to believe.

      "Are you hooking up with someone? Prettier? Better? Not fat and pregnant!" I screamed as I threw his phone at him. He scrambled for it and hung up. I felt like I couldn't breath.

      "No. Stop thinking that!" He shouted as he placed his hands on my face. "I love you. Claire is someone from the case that I didn't solve because the evidence was lost. She's scared. I hid her here. I would never!"

      "Im going home," I said as I grabbed a bag and threw clothes in it.

       "No! No. Come back!" He shouted as I grabbed the keys and walked out the doors. "Katerina! I didn't! I wouldn't! Just please come back inside and talk with me!"

       "No! I will not!" I screamed. "I will not!" Tears slid down his cheeks. He walked over to me and I pushed him away. "Get away from me!" I threw my stuff in the car and he pinned me to the car his lips close to mine.

       "Believe me. Please," he whispered. "Please."

      "I can't. It hurts," I said.

      "Babe. Babe believe me okay. I wouldn't ever dare to cheat on you. I love you," he said. "I asked you to marry me last night. Okay? Just believe me."

       "I want to meet her, and I want to go to the trial," I said. He nodded and pulled me close to me.

       "I love you. I love you. I love you," he said.

      I sat behind Chloe with Bella sitting next to me. Bella's grip on my hand was hard and supportive. I refused to sit near Paul after finding out about him and Becca Fisher. I saw Alec lead a girl out of doors and I wanted to follow but I didn't. He came back and Elli walked in and then the words that I dreaded came out so strong and easily. "Not guilty." I felt sick to my stomach. I covered my mouth with my hands and started to cry. I got up and walked out and cried. I couldn't. I couldn't be in there. I leaned against the wall and cried. My head in my hands. I sobbed. I looked up and saw Beth. She looked down at me with red eyes and I cried.

      "I'm so sorry," I cried and she got down next to me and wrapped her arms around me.

      "You didn't do anything wrong love," she said. And then I saw Alec. He helped me up and then Beth. Beth walked off and Alec pulled me into his arms.

      "Common I'll take you to meet Claire," he whispered. He walked me out to my car and kissed my head. I shook my head and leaned into the car and cried. He sighed and kissed me lightly. "Can you drive?" I nodded and got in the car. He told me where to go and I listened. When we got there I had terrible pains in my stomach but I ignored them. We walked in and I saw the girl from earlier.

      "I'm the wife," I announced and Alec have me a strange look. "Okay fine fiancé but close enough."

       "I didn't sleep with your husband," she said and I nodded.

      "I believe you now," I said. "Sorry about...um...your husband. I was told last night." I ran my fingers through my hair and took deep breaths. "Can I sit down?" She nodded and sat down on the couch as the pain got worse. It stopped and I relished in the relief. But then about fifteen minutes later it started again. I pushed myself up. I walked over to Alec who looked angry. "Its coming." My words caught his attention and his eyes went wide. "Yep. Definitely coming." My baby was coming early and I think too early.
