Sinong hindi magugulat kung ang bestfriend mo ay mag-uwi ng isang tao mula sa nakaraan niyo? Take note, seryoso silang nakaupo sa sala at kulang nalang kumuha ng kutsilyo ang bestfriend mo at isaksak sa taong yun.

"What's going on here?"

"Hi Jiya." he smiled and I swear, I saw the murderous look on Summer's face. 

"Kailan ka pa napadpad sa London?"

Oh yes, hello. I'm Jiya Henson. 27 years living in this world full of evil and cruel things...and I'm a rare creature of nature--but that's just Summer and I's inside joke.

I work in a laboratory. The truth is I hated Chemistry and Physics and anything Science-y before I started to like blowing things up. No, I'm not a masochist but I like explotion...but right now, I work for the London's S.W.A.T. like team. I help them disarm bombs...something like that.

Like what Summer said, who would have thought that a future Beauty Queen would turn out to be like this. That's without offense, of course.

"That's not important right now."

"What's important is why he's here." dagdag ni Summer na talagang mukhang makakapatay na ng tao.

"Why...?"

"Our parents are gone." I laughed at Summer. I seriously laughed. How can our parents be gone?

"Jiya. She's serious. My parents are gone missing, so is yours and Summer's and even Paul's." dun lang ako napatigil. Anong nangyari?

We never worry about our parents the moment they told us na magkakasama sila sa isang Mafia-like-organization. No wonder they trust each other. No wonder they enrolled us to prestigious schools. No wonder our families are filthy rich. But still, that wasn't fair. Our money for food came from cheating...from gambling. Pero I'm not blaming anyone...I used to work for dirty businesses like the one they run. But the thing is, ang perang ninanakaw namin, galing din sa nakaw. It's like taking and stealing back what was stolen.

Zayne fed us the details.

"Last time they were seen was a week ago. Di na sana kami gagawa ng big deal out of this, pero the moment na nalaman namin na sabay sabay silang nawala, it alarmed me and Kim."

"How about Paul? We haven't heard from him since forever."

"Oh don't worry about him."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean...well, Kim went to Australia the day before yesterday to find Paul. We'll meet them when we get home to the Philippines."

And the next bloody thing I know, we were on the plane and Summer was swearing non-stop the moment na magbanyo si Zayne.

"That git...why did HE have to go? Why didn't Kim go himself!" the look on her face was priceless.

"Summer. Seriously? You're bringing this up after 5 years?"

"Well, hello, reality check, after 5 years he shows up! And with bad news too!"

"Shhhhhh! Lower down your voice, you idiot." pano ba naman, pinagtitinginan na kami ng mga kasama namin sa eroplano.

"Kakambal ata yun ng malas eh! I hate him!"

"Oh come on. Ako pa niloko mo. You're only saying you hate him because after 5 years you're still head over heels with him."

"I'M SO NOT!"

"The more you hate, the more you love." I smirked at her and I thought she'll shoot me on cue.

"So ladies...what's up?" then bumalik na siya sa upuan niya...sa tabi ni Summer.

"We're in a bad situation and you're asking what's up?" could she be any more sarcastic?

"Just to lighten the mood." tapos, hinayaan ko na silang mag-away. All I know is I'm not ready to go to the Philippines...and I'm just doing this for my parents.

After hours and hours of butt pain, we finally landed.

"Sino susundo satin?"

"Si Kier." I froze in my spot. Pati si Summer napatigil sa paglalakad at napatingin lang sakin, not without sympathy. Then she glared at Zayne.

"Why didn't you tell us?!" bakit parang si Summer yung galit? Diba ako yung ex ni Kier na nagtatago sakanya? Sabagay. What are friends for. 

"He volunteered. He wants to talk to Jiya." I shook my head.

"I am NEVER showing myself to him ever again." 

"Think again." sabi ni Zayne tapos tinuro niya yung sa likod ko...at pagtalikod ko...nakita ko si Kier.

Kung hindi lang ako nahawakan ni Summer, malamang bumigay na yung tuhod ko. Nakakapanghina. Kung galit yung naramdaman ni Summer nung nakita niya si Zayne...kabaligtaran naman sakin ngayong nasa harapan ko si Kier.

"Unlike you girls, we wanted to settle things between us." dagdag pang-asar pa nitong si Zayne.

Sahig, lamunin mo na ko, please?
