Chapter 2
I rubbed my eyes as I awoke from a sleepless night. It's becoming a regular thing. Not sleeping at all or only having a few hours sleep. It's slowly becoming normal now.
"Good morning, Mr Cutforth" a soft voice spoke.
For a second I thought I'd gone insane, but then it came to me, it was Jason.
"Morning!" I replied moving around awkwardly trying to get comfy.
"Another sleepless night?" Jason asked as he sat up, running his hands through his messy hair.
I didn't want to reply. But by the looks of things I'd kept him awake with my restless body laying next to his all night. "Yeah, sorry..." I looked at him and forced a small smile.
He smiled back, throwing the cover off of his lap and standing up. "Luke, it's okay. You really don't have to apologise. We all have those nights."
I was going to reply but Jason had already left my bedroom.
"LUKE, JASONS BELLY NEEDS SOME FOOD"
Now, that made me smile. A real smile.
