XIII

Serena's pov.

I sat in my desk as I watched Alessio step out of the elevator and began walking towards me. My heart began to beat faster as he stepped closer towards me. My breath hitched and he leaned in front of me.

"I wanna ask you something and please don't say no."

I looked at him confused but with a small smile playing on my lips.

"Ammmm.... ok sure what's up?"

"I need a date for a party and I wanted to know if you want to come with me?" He asked looking really nervous.

I looked at him and was thinking that he liked me but then I began to think he only asked me to come with him because I was his assistant.

I was slightly disappointed but quickly shook it off and looked at him with a smile on my face.

"Yea sure," I said with little excitement so I wouldn't look too desperate to go with him.

His face immediately lit up when I said yes to him and I couldn't help but smile.

"Thank you, it is later today I will come to pick you up, just give me ur address." He said as he took out his phone.

I quickly typed it out for him and got back to work.

At the end of the workday, I couldn't wait to get home to get a dress for the party. I had to find the perfect dress to impress him.

As soon as I got home I noticed a little package in front of my door. I cautiously picked it up an carried it inside.

I carefully opened it and I immediately dropped the box with the contents of it in my hand. It was pictures of me when I was outside my apartment, when I was at the club  and even at work.

How did they find me?

I needed to leave, but I knew I couldn't, not as yet. It has only been a few months.

I shook of that feeling because I had to  go to that party, atleast it would help take my mind of things for now.

He was coming to pick me up at seven an the time was 6:15

Shit.

I quickly dug through my cupboard looking for my best dress and i finally found it.

It was a dress i have never worn before. It was a fitted red dress, it had a cut out at the back of it and the sides. It had sequins and beads on the front.

This dress was meant to be worn at a party a while ago but it got cancelled so it was just in my closet taking up space.

I quickly took a shower and began to put on my makeup. I put on simple makeup, nothing to much because i wanted to look as natural as possible and also I didn't have much time.

After i was finished i slipped on my dress and my shoes and took a final look in the mirror. I looked nothing like i do for work so i know that i will impress him. I smiled to myself as i heard a knock on the door.

I quickly shuffled out the room and made my way to the door. As soon as i opened the door i was lost with words.

There he stood in a full black suit, different from his usual work clothes and a bouquet of flowers in his hand.

"These are for you, my lady" he said as he handed me them. Of course me being myself blushed like a crazy woman.

"Why thank you, you can come in while i put these in some water" I said the same phase that everyone who gets flowers say.

"By the way, you look absolutely stunning in that dress"he whispered in my ear making me blush once again.

I just smiled and quickly put the flowers into a vase and then we were off. The thought about those pictures were at the back of my mind for now.
