Hayden's Point Of View

"CARTER!" I yelled, as I entered an old abandoned house. It was just around the corner and since the cave had been cleared, I knew, or I rather wished that they were still living here. They were three of the ex-unit, they had always been good to work with and did excellent jobs. If they stopped business, they were stupid.
They would help me, their boss, to get the reign over my city again, since all those cowards and dicks got a normal life with useless jobs that get you fucking nowhere.

"Who's it?" I heard a voice boom through the house. I quickly cocked my gun, just in case they decided to shoot me, knowing that they were sometimes a little too suspicious.

I heard heavy footsteps walking down the creaking stairs as they looked at me and not to my surprise they already had a gun pointed at me.

There was a long silence, coming from Jason, who came down the last steps now slowly.

".... Evans?" He asked, narrowing his eyebrows and eyed me up and down.

"In flesh and blood." I replied with a slight smirk as he put the gun down, his expression softening.

"You haven't changed at all." He smirked, calling the other boys to come and greet me.

"Evans?" Drew said with big eyes, as he walked towards me with a nod.

I nodded back.

Since they worked with me for almost a year, they knew not to mess with me, that means they weren't allowed to touch me, not even a hand shake, because I hated being touched. It was just an uncomfortable feeling, that I didn't need and didn't want to, so therefore they always nodded at me, not a hug, nor a handshake.

"Haven't seen you guys in a long time." I said, taking a drag on one of the cigarettes that I stole from Zahir.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Carter bit, obviously not pleased to see me.

"Getting back into business and you're helping me." I said coolly.

"We're not he-" Carter started, but Drew interrupted him.

"You aren't spying for the cops?"

"I dare you to accuse me of that again." I growled as I walked closer to him, my fists clenched.

"Well seen as you're out of jail, there is a reason behind it." Drew said, straightening himself, but he still looked smaller.

"I had the fucking best lawyer in the city to get me out, so to say at least that you accuse me of fucking spying for the cops is insulting and I believe, that you don't want to insult me right?" I growled again, walking closer and closer to him, until I got him backing off.

"That's what I thought."

They looked at each other, trying to do some pathetic eye-conversation.

I clenched my fists, trying not to punch them.

Jason nodded and gestured me to walk with him. I followed him, my gun in my right hand, because I couldn't trust him, three years do change people a lot, you're not able to trust them after. They will leave you or ignore you if you do.

I tried to get her voice out of my head, that told me this was a bad idea, that I should start a new live with the same pathetic job as Luke.

To be honest, the moment I got out of jail, no, the moment I saw her house, I longed for a life with her just as simple as it was, because I wanted to give her what she deserved three years ago. Now, the only thing that she deserved, for putting me through this whole shit, was pain. I will fucking pain that bitch, just as much as she pained me.

We walked down the path in the basement, that I knew better than anything, it led us to another part of the canalisation, just behind the cave, behind a door that was not visible. If you wanted to get through, you had to push the safe in Steve's office away and enter a code.

"So this is what we're currently working on." Carter explained, showing me a blue print.

"What is it?"

"We're gonna blow up the eagles." Drew said, smirking at me, which I returned.

The eagles have always been a burden to me, they have the half part of my city and constantly threw their dead bodies into my territory. We've been through more than ten different fights with them in only one year.

"Was about fucking time." I said.

Leah's Point Of View

"Jaymi, c'mere, the food is ready!" I yelled, not even a second later, I heard little feet stomping towards me.

"Ood." He tried to mimic me.

"Food." I said as I sat him into his chair, giving him the little pieces of pizza, he loved pizza to death.

I couldn't help but have a bad feeling, I knew that the way Hayden left last morning was a trigger for something to happen. He didn't even have a place to stay, maybe he was back at the cave? But, the police closed it. That meant he must have went somewhere else, I just hoped that he was alright.

"Zahir, you hungry?" I yelled, but I heard nothing but silence.

Ever since I went back home without his approval, he did not talk to me, he just ignored me completely, even though I didn't even tell him about talking to Hayden, because I knew he would go mad.

To my surprise, he walked into the kitchen, taking the pizza and sat down next to me, but still not muttering one word.

"Zahir, calm down, nothing happened."

"But what if he had been here? What if he had went crazy on you both? Do you know what could have happened?"

"You know very well, that Hayden would never hurt me, us."

"Do I? Because it seems to me that he trashed the fucking baby room and he could as well do the same to you!" He growled.

"But he didn't touch me!"

"Why are you defending him?!" Zahir yelled, standing up, making me flinch.

"Because he doesn't deserve all of this." I said, looking to the ground.

"Doesn't deserve this?! Leah, do you know what he's done for real? He murdered at least 100 people, in ways that are that cruel that you, with your fucking pink castle and princess dresses couldn't even imagine them. He's done nothing but bad things and yet you say he does not deserve this?" Zahir yelled, walking closer to me, the vein on his neck apparent.

" Yes, I say that simply because it's true, he's just been a 16 years old, when I dragged him into that shit, it's because of me, Zahir! He could've had a great life, scholarship because he was a football player, back in high school! So yes I mean it and don't you dare to correct me when I say he does not deserve this." I screamed back.

"Leah at the end of the day he killed so many people cruelly, he left you with a baby, he got arrested, he's nothing but fucking trouble! You seem to miss out some details there! How can you forgive him?!"

"BECAUSE I LOVE HIM!"
