I opened the door of my car, examining the house in front of me, it was just a regular sky scraper, nothing special, but perfect to hide.
I rang the bell with the name "Carl Callerham", just like Noah had told me previously on the phone.
The door opened and I entered, just before the buzzing signal stopped. There was a guy, looking tall in a black uniform looking at me.
"Name?" He said.
"Hayden Evans." I said, he nodded and guided me into an elevator, standing beside me.
The elevator came to a halt soon, but the door didn't go open, as I wondered if it was a trap and really all they wanted was to kill me.
I slowly reached for my gun, just in case the dude tried something, but he didn't. In fact, he wasn't even watching me, he was typing a code into a small code bar beside the floor numbers. Soon, the camera in the corner of the room was showing a little glowing red point, signalising that it was filming.
"Let him in." A male voice said though speakers as the security man nodded, typing in another code: 4-6-9-0-8.
The door opened and I was greeted by another security man who told me to follow him. We walked down a hall and he knocked three times on a the third door on the rightside. The door went open after 10 seconds and the security man walked in with me, standing in the corner while I watched someone sitting on a desk infront of me. It was Noah. Next to Noah, was a girl standing, looking down onto his paper and tapping her finger on something as he nodded and started scribbling down something.
"Mr. Evans is here to see you." The security man said, causing Noah to look up and smile instantly.
This boy needed a therapist.
"Evans!" He happily greeted me, standing up to walk over to me, he stretched his hand out.
I looked down to it and shook my head, he knew it himself that I didn't do handshakes.
"Yeh, right, forgot ya weren't into touching people." He laughed and walked back to his seat behind the desk as I gave him a little smile.
The dark brown haired girl walked over to us as she put her arm onto Noah's shoulder to lean against it.
"Medha, this is Hayden, Hayden, Medha." He said as she nodded and stuck out her hand for me, just the same way he did, but yet I refused it again.
"He doesn't do handshakes, love." He said as he snaked his arm around her waist and pulled her into him, immediately jealousy started to kick in.
Even he could get a girl.
She blushed slightly and mumbled a sorry as Noah kissed her cheek and told her not to be sorry, since she didn't know.
After an rather awkward silence, consisting of me staring at them in mostly hate and pain, Noah whispered something into her ear, which I couldn't hear because I was to out of it.
I was having a flashback, the one time we had our first kiss. It was just amazing, I couldn't even start to explain what it was, it was one of the best moments in my life. I remember climbing into her window, being a nervous wreck as I told myself continuously, that it was just us, in fact, just Leah, so there was nothing to worry about. Somehow though, this way of thinking made me a lot more nervous. The moment I knocked on her window I was a wreck. She opened her window, wiping some shed tears away as she let me in. I remember checking her out, not knowing what to do, because she had been crying and I, myself was never a man of soothing words, or touches. She giggled and said 'I look awful', or something in that sense and I just stared at her. How could she ever say that? She was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I then lay her softly down on her bed and kissed her with all the passion I had in me, my thumbs gliding on her soft cheeks.
I looked up and snapped out of my trance as I saw Medha walking away from Noah, into another room as he motioned the security man to follow her. After they had left the room, I looked at Noah, he smiles at me and gestured me to sit down, as he did too.
"How have ya been, mate?" He asked me.
"Fine, it's been rough, but other than that, I'm good." I lied.
"I'm glad to hear that, how's Leah? Haven't seen her and the lads since what?... three years I believe." He laughed slightly as I shook my head.
"I guess she's fine, haven't really talked to her though." I admitted.
Noah narrowed his eyebrows," I thought you both were inseparable, I remember you even sneaking her into the cave."
"Is Medha your girl?" I asked Noah, trying to avoid talking about Leah.
"Yeh, we've been together for 2 years, I've never been better, honestly. I couldn't understand why you were constantly trying to be with Leah, until I met her. She's everything I have and I'd die for her." He said as he looked down to the ground, smiling ever so slightly.
I frowned, trying not to feel the increasing pain in my heart, but it wouldn't stop, so I stood up and punched a wall, hoping that my hand would hurt more than my heart, but it didn't so I punched it over and over again, until Noah tore me away from it. I couldn't stand it anymore, it came to the point where I didn't even care that Noah was touching me anymore.
"What the fuck is wrong?" Noah said, more in mercy than anger for his now slightly broken wall.
"Why the fuck do you even love her? She will leave you anyway, she'll start a relationship with one that you thought was your friend, she ends up having a fucking child with him and leaves you nothing but fucking pain. Leave her, O'Sullivan, leave her before it's to late." I said as I leaned my head against the wall, taking in sharp breaths which held me back from crying.
"Mate, what happened?" He asked me in concern.
"She left me, she didn't even come to see me in jail, it's just like I never existed and now, now she has a son, 'bout two years old."
He looked at me and nodded, biting his inner cheek.
"Maybe we just need her to realize what she truly wants." He said.
"What do you mean?"
"Make her love you again." He said.
