Leah's Point Of View
"I'm no liar, I'm just.." I trailed off, glancing away.
"Hey.." He took my face in between his large hands and made me look into his piercing green eyes," I didn't mean this in any bad way, I'm just... surprised."
"I am too, cannot believe I'm even helping you after you locked me into that room." I mumbled.
"Leah, I'm sorry, I really am,I shouldn't--" I shushed him as I heard footsteps coming nearer.
"You need to go now, Hayden, I'll be fine."I told him, pushing him towards the window and he quickly climbed out.
"Bye Hayden." She said, just about to close the window, but I shook my head.
"Promise me that you'll visit me." He told me as he gave me his phone so that they couldn't track him down.
"Promise." I said then closed the window, just as he sped off. Not a second later, police barged into the room, so I was quick to take the diaper and act as if I was just going to throw it away.
"Miss? Are you okay? Where is the kidnapper?" The boss asked as he lowered his gun.
"For the last time, he isn't some filthy kidnapper! He is the kid's father!"
He sighed as he repeated his last question, but in a way that he knew I would accept it.
"He isn't here, but he left Jaymi sleeping here with his phone which was ready to dial my number. Jaymi knows how to phone someone. Also he probably left him here, knowing that his pal works in the shop across and would pee at least once a day. I think he wanted to give Jaymi back, but just without being imprisoned." I told them as I shrugged and picked Jaymi up as if the whole thing was more than obvious.
The men shook their heads as they escorted me out of the bathroom where a huge crowd of nosy habitants and tourists were watching us, immediately expecting the worst.
"Where's the target?" One of the police men asked. Target?! Oh, I knew they were going to kill him! I knew they were going to shoot him! The police officer that escorted me out was about to reply, but I interrupted him.
"There was never something like a target, damn it! He is a human being and he has done nothing wrong!"
"Not in there, bathroom is clean." He said, ignoring my remark.
We walked back to the police cars, where they told me to ride with officer Kingston.
" Can you please take me home, it's Branxton street 13." I told him as we drove onto the highway.
"We still need to ask you some questions, we can't let you go just yet." He told me.
"This is ridiculous! what could you possibly ask me about?" I exclaimed.
"Where the suspect could possibly be, if you have seen him since he broke out of jail and if you know anything about the bombs." He told me as his partner scribbled down a few things, probably the questions and what I was going to say.
"Suspect? What suspect? Since he's come out of jail he has done nothing and of course I saw him! I lived with him for 3 weeks now and unfortunately I locked the door because we had a fight and threw the key somewhere where I couldn't find it. And what is that with the bombs you're talking about?" I was fuming.
"So, you say, that you stayed with him by choice. He did not lock you into that room nor has he told you about any bombs, is that right?"
"Yes, exactly."I snorted.
"Then how come you haven't been at work and nobody has heard from you?" He investigated.
"How come? I wanted to spend some weeks with him, I hadn't seen him in over three years!" I quickly made up. Good thing if you take acting classes.
"All right, I suppose you don't wan to bear evidence of anything then?"
"over my dead body."
The officer sighed as he turned into my street, driving down it and soon stopping in front of mine and Zahir's house where Zahir was sat in front of, his face in his hands.
