"This is impossible." The Third Hokage said standing behind a window looking into a room where Yuzuki's body laid hooked up to machines after emergency surgery. They stitched her body back and Hiko discovered her vision had deteriorated due to over use of the sharingan, so Hiko replaced her eyes with the eyes of her father. They were in surgery for three hours.
So now she laid there, alive, bandages wrapped around her eyes and torso. Something like this was impossible. To be able to rise from the dead was unheard of.
"That... may be my fault." confessed Hiko.
The Third Hokage turned a curious eye. "How?"
"I... may have preformed a ritual."
"You what!?" The Third roared and Hiko jumped back.
"Forgive me, Lord Hokage!" he bowed. "I did not know it would actually work. I was in a state of mourning! I had no intentions of this actually-"
"It's not partially your fault." Hiruzen sighed and Hiko raised his head in confusion. "Jurun is not her original demon, therefore the council came to the theory that he was actually still alive in there. The ritual you may have performed just helped to... bring her back."
"That's right. The ritual I used is a Hibiki ritual." Hiko scratched his head. "It was rumoured to only work once on a demon vessel, but, I can't be sure."
"Nobody can know about this yet. Not until we fully access her and deem her worthy to be put back into the world. The news of her survival will surely keep Kakashi Hatake going, he's already attempted suicide, but thankfully to your daughter, who prevented that."
"That poor boy. He should know right away before he does something stupid."
"For now, we're keeping an eye on him."
Hiko turned back to watch Yuzuki's sleeping form. "What I did was wrong. She shouldn't be alive, she should be resting peacefully and I just dragged her back. She kept saying she shouldn't be here." he felt his stomach twist just repeating those words. "I regret it."
"Perhaps it was her time, perhaps it wasn't. We can never truly know." and with that said the Third Hokage turned away. Hiko remained looking through the window.
Footsteps came running down the quiet corridor, pass the Third Hokage and to her father. "Is this some sick joke!" she shoved her father and he stumbled. She received a lousy containing the urgent words of her father to tell her that Yuzuki is alive. It enraged her.
"Look for yourself." he motioned inside the room.
In a burning rage, Katsuko looked through the window and her heart stopped. Yuzuki's body appeared to be laying in the bed. "This is bullshit, that's not really her." she barged into the door and came inches from the sleeping body. She looked over to find the small scar on the right side of the forehead. The same scar Yuzuki had. The same piece of cut hair, the same cut on her left upper arm, and the same stab wound.
"This isn't possible."
"It is." Hiko said coming into the room. "It's really her." he removed the bandages from around her head and Katsuko gasped. Her hand flew to her mouth to stifle a cry. Her skin had colour and her cheeks had warmth. It was really her. "How?"
"I did a ritual."
"You said it was forbidden!"
"I know. Jurun was still alive in there. So he's to blame really, I just woke him up. He's only half dead in there."
Katsuko fell onto the side of the bed for support. "No. If she's alive... then, doesn't that mean she's not the same?"
"We don't know yet."
