Stiles bowed before taking a seat on the piano chair. He stared at the piano keys for a few seconds before setting up the music sheets.

Now remember Stiles, you need to determine in your mind on how you are going to play the song and think of the piano as a human being, touch it gently, it will happy and smile but press it hard and aggressively, it will be angry.

He took a deep breath before he pressed the first note and began to play. A wave of nostalgia crashed onto his body like a tsunami. The further he went into the song, the more he got lost into the music and the moment itself. Hr didn't feel like he was in a concert hall with a bunch of people watching and judging him, it felt like he was alone in his own little world where the trees are greener, the colors are more vivid, and where Lydia was his. The melodies danced and the crowd was so drawn into the music, slowly getting lost in the music themselves. Stiles continued to play, not aware of the fact that people were watching him with awe. Stiles haven't felt like this in such a long time and he loved it. Stiles surely did owe a lot to Lydia and her stubbornness.

When the song is over, Stiles was pretty surprised to find himself sweating but for once he was proud and happy that the drowning feeling he used to feel was now gone. He held his head high as the crowd bursts into applause and cheers. Some people even threw roses at the stage which left Stiles in awe. He stood up and bowed before walking off the stage, smiling widely for the first time in a very long time.

                                                              ..................................................

When Stiles left back stage after the last performance, he was greeted by Lydia with a hug.

"Good job Stiles! You did awesome out there!" Lydia exclaimed, pulling away from the hug.

"Yeah bro you definitely did more than great out there!" Scott said, putting his arm around Stiles's shoulders.

Allison nodded, "You were amazing out there, I would be surprised if you didn't make it to the next round."

"Don't worry," Stiles said and smiled, "Because I did make it to the next round."

Everyone cheered and was happy for Stiles.

"We should go out to celebrate!" Allison exclaimed.

"Stiles Stilinski? Lydia Martin?"

Stiles and Lydia turned around and saw one of the judges, an old lady who had average height. Of course, she did not have the best taste in fashion.Stiles knew she was on e of the judges since he saw her sitting in the front row, writing down the scores alongside other judges. Both of them smiled and Stiles was slightly surprised when Lydia knew her name.

"Mrs. Solvinski! Hi, how are you?" Lydia greeted with a gentle and soft smile.

"I'm doing fine, thank you for asking Lydia," She turned to face Stiles, "Congrats on making it to the next round, I knew you were coming back one day. I loved your performance by the way, very beautiful indeed."

"Oh thank you," Stiles said, smiling a bit.

Mrs. Solvinski looked at both of them, "Anyways I have a favor to ask both of you. I'm hosting this gala concert which is in two weeks Saturday. i only one more performance for my list to be complete so would you do me the honors and perform a duet in my gala concert?"

Lydia smiled even more, "Oh my gosh yes! We'll do it, both of us will."

"Excellent! I'll see you guys there. I'll send more details to your email," Mrs. Solvinski said.

Both of them exchanged emails before Mrs. Solvinski left. Lydia looked at Stiles with a huge grin.

"Looks like we got ourselves a gig."
