Alex was sitting by Allie's side.

Her little plan had worked. The blonde was now absolutely sure that Kelley actually was in a relationship with Hinkle. She was now very angry at the freckled girl, constantly trying to keep her anger for herself. But Alex knew Allie felt betrayed ; she never opened up to someone the way she opened up to Kelley. And that drove Alex mad. She should've been the one Allie was talking to. Not Kelley.

So when Tobin sat in front of them, Alex just knew how to react. Tobin took Allie's hands in hers, and said :

- Al, Kelley isn't dating Hinkle.

The blonde was just lost. She didn't dare to look up. Alex was throwing death glares at Tobin, who was just so angry at her at the moment. She waited for her friend to say something, and when Allie did, Tobin just sighed.

- Yes she is, Allie abruptly said. Alex told me...

- Alex is lying ! Tobin interrupted her. She's just being an egoistic bitch right now !

- Harry ! Allie said. Calm down, she just told me the truth, I...

Tobin once again cut her, looking directly at Alex in the eyes. Ever since her friend got back with her husband, Tobin's attraction for her just faded as quickly as it developed. Now, she couldn't stand her anymore.

- She told you what she wanted you to believe ! Why don't you admit it, uhn ?

- I have nothing to be ashamed of, Alex said.

- Oh, right, Tobin sarcastically let out. You're a real angel fallen from the sky ! Oh sweet Jesus Christ, thank you for that beautiful gift that is Alex Morgan. Now, can you stop with your bullshit and admit what it is really about ?

Alex was angry as well, and Allie didn't know what to do but looking back and forth between her two friends.

- Since you seem to be such a genius, why don't you tell us what it is really about ? she yelled.

- Don't you dare yell at me Alexandra Patricia Morgan ! You made up this relationship so that Allie would hate Kelley and stop spending time with her and more with you ! That is what it is really about !

- What ? Alex yelled again, acting like she was chocked. What sort of friend would do such a thing ?

- The kind of friend you are.

Tobin was now standing in her feet. As Alex was standing up as well, Allie thought it was the right moment to put herself in between them. She faced Tobin.

- Guys, calm down.

But her request only upset Tobin even more.

- Calm down ? she repeated. So you will just let her lie to your face and break what you and Kelley have ?

- Kelley and I didn't have anything at all, Allie said in a very cold tone. At least she wasn't honest with me.

- Of course she was ! Tobin screamed, out for blood.

Something in Allie's eyes changed. She was so hurt that they became colder. She then turned over to face Alex, and then got back to Tobin. The brunette just took a step further, before saying in a very serious tone :

- You got it all wrong. Kelley's in love with you. And she would give her life to save yours. Don't let some stupid dishonest friend tell you the contrary.

Allie looked down, as Alex was pushing her aside.

- It's time for you to get out, the Orlando forward said. Now.

- Harry..., Tobin said.

All she earned was Allie's absent eyes planted in hers. The blonde was broken in the inside, because she really did love Kelley. But now, everything was blurry, even her vision. So she just decided to get out of the room, leaving both of her best friends alone in the room. She locked her room's door before jumping on her bed, tears running down her cheeks. Christen and Lindsey, who were on the room 23, just dropped their magazines and went to console Allie.

Meanwhile, on the other room, Tobin was just shaking out of anger.

- You're disgusting, she let out.

Alex slapped her the hardest she could. The sound her hand on Tobin's cheeks made just resonated on the whole corridor, since the door was still opened. Tobin spat on Alex's shoes before getting out of the room as well.

Lindsey, Moe, Emily and Sam decided to take Mal on a car trip for the afternoon, in order to move away from all the drama that was going on in the hotel. Everybody heard Alex and Tobin's argument. Everybody saw Allie slamming the door open and running to her room. And everybody understood what it was really about.

So here they were, putting some music on the loudspeaker. Sam was driving, and Lindsey was her co-pilot. The three remaining girls were at the back of the car, dancing every two minutes because the songs were very catchy. They all spent a very good time, laughing and joking around. After two hours, they decided to grab something for dinner. They went to a take-away and drove to a cliff nearby.

The view was breathtaking. From here, they could see the endless fields, surrounded by snowy mountains and a beautiful sunset on top of that. Moe let her head rest on her best friend's shoulder, while Emily and Sam were only glancing quickly at each other. Mal was finally happy. She knew the newbie's friendship would grow strong over the years. And she really loved those girls.

Lindsey broke the long-lasting silence :

- You know what ?

The girls looked at her in silence, waiting for her to continue. And she did :

- I'm freaking scared about those Olympics. But if there's one thing that reassure me a little, it's that I have you guys by my side. Thank you.

- Aw, The Great Horan has feelings after all ! Sonnett exclaimed.

The bigger girl caught her and hugged her tight, as Moe and Sam were climbing on top of them. The girls eventually ended up as a big bunch of moving bodies, and that made them laugh. Well, Lindsey was a little bit oppressed, but she was giggling. Mal decided that there wasn't enough people crushing her, so she jumped on top of them.

The rookies just stayed on the top of that cliff for about an hour, before heading back to the hotel, smiles on their faces. They were USWNT's next generation, and soon enough they'll have to keep the team on the top of the world.
