     Baby, I like your style.

I quickly jolted at the sound of my alarm. Pulling a muscle in my neck in the process.

"Shit." I said aloud, the sound of 'One Dance' still filling the room. What can I say, I like Drake.

I turned the alarm off but decided to put the song on my Spotify. I like waking up to music, makes me feel good.

I take a quick shower and get dressed in some nike shorts and a nike muscle shirt. I take my ecig Venom and go downstairs.

There's no no sign of my father. Thank the lord. I walk downstairs again to the basement to get some soccer socks from the laundry.

The moment I walk down the stairs, I see a few beer bottles strewn about the living area. I'm not surprised.

I open the dryer and put the contents into a basket, I then grab the socks and head back up.

I should probably eat a little something. I go over to a basket that holds a few bananas. I see a white note left on the counter.

Had to head out early for work again, your father spoke to me last night. We won't be seeing him for a while. We'll talk later about that. Have a good first day of captain's practice, lead the girls well :)

Mom

I put the note back down. Glad to know she's okay. I look at the clock reading 11:10. I check my soccer bag to make sure everything is there. Ball, shin guards, cleats and a spare water bottle.

I walk back to get a banana and my Venom. I take my bag and sling it around over my shoulder. I go through the garage where my car is.

I drive a neon green Jeep Wrangler. Me and an old friend of mine did the paint job. It's not the best car in the world, but it's definitely not the worst. I had to work 3 different jobs to get it.

I put my bag in the back and get in the driver's seat. I take a hair binder from the cupholder and put my hair up.

Plugging in the aux cord, I continue where I left off in my playlist. Ride by Twenty One Pilots started playing.

I open the garage door, back out, and start hitting the road, taking puffs from my vape every now and then.

In about 15 minutes I get to Alex's house. I'm still in awe over it. I turn off the car and set the vape in the cupholder.

I see Alex walking towards my car so I get out to greet her. I walk around the front and meet her at the driveway.

"I'll take that." I said, taking her soccer bag off of her shoulder. I carry it to the back of the Jeep, set it next to mine and quickly open the passenger door for her.

"Why thank you, chivalry isn't dead with you I see." she stated with a little laugh. I gave her a smile in response and meandered over to my side.

I get in and put my seatbelt on, I look over to make sure she has hers on. I'm not surprised that she does. Not that it's a bad thing.

I take another quick hit from my ecig and then place it back down. I start the car and begin driving out of the neighborhood.

"Nice car." she said, "Who got it for you?"

I laughed at the statement. She apparently knows nothing about me. Maybe that will change one day.

"I did." I said flatly, turning my head to look at her. She had a shocked look on her face.

We sat in silence for a little bit longer until I got to a red light. I relaxed a bit more in my seat and reached for my ecig again. To my surprise, it wasn't there anymore.

"Is this yours?" Alex asked. I looked over to see what she was talking about. In her hand was my Venom. She was turning it over, looking at it.

"Uh... yea. It is." I said, feeling a bit embarrassed. I probably shouldn't have left it out in the open. Stupid.

"Why do you have it?" she asked me, seeming to have pure intentions. I sighed and looked away. I just shook my head a little.

"Can I try?" she asked, looking at it like one wrong move and it could kill her. I mean, it probably could.

I took it out of her hand gently and put it on my side. The light had turned green so I started to go again.

"Trust me, you don't want to do that." I said in a lower tone. I could feel her stare. Of course I hit the next red light, so I looked back at her.

I look right into her amazing blue eyes. I mean blue eyes. Just blue eyes.

She raises an eyebrow at me. I can tell she has a lot of questions she wants to ask, but she just doesn't know how to ask them. I get a little lost in her eyes until she turns and looks forward.

"Tobin, the light is green." she said breaking the silence. I look ahead and apply the gas. Shit Heath. Don't even start with this girl.

After a few more minutes of driving in awkward silence, I pull into the parking lot of the athletic building.
