I took off the vest and ran. Meghan took off in front of me towards the fence. I heard the truck start up and I instantly knew what was about to happen. I turned right, in hopes that he'd go for me and not notice Meghan.

I could hear the truck gaining on me, so I started cutting through the grass. To my luck, he still followed me right through. I started running back in the direction of the fence. I could see Meghan slowing down.

"Keep going Meg, he's right behind me!" I yelled, causing her to look back and start sprinting again. We got closer to the fence and she jumped over the wires and started climbing with ease, Ash was on the other side waiting for us.

The truck pulled in front of me and turned sideways while stopping, blocking my path. I continued, running around the truck when it started again and pulled forward slightly, knocking into me.

I fell to the ground and laid there, the wind knocked out of me. The car turned off and I could hear the door opening. I started getting up, half crawling away. I stood completely up and started to run.

I went to jump over the wires while he just ran over it, the souls of his boots insulating the electricity. I jumped onto the fence and climbed.

He hit me in the leg with something hard, once, twice, three times. With the fourth, he knocked me down on to the grass. I looked up at him as he took me under the armpits and dragged me.

"I don't know who you work for, but I was supposed to intercept that necklace. Tell me what plane it's on or you're going to get a little fried." he said. Holding my back up above the wires.

"I still have it in my bag, I couldn't deliver it because you spotted me, please, just let me go and I'll give it to you." I said, trying to sound desperate. He debated for a bit and then pulled me back and let go, letting my back fall to the ground.

I got up and started lifting the bag up off my body. I handed it to him and as soon as he gripped it, I pulled forward hard, causing him to fall face first beside me. I let go and went to the fence again.

He swore at me and then started climbing too. I was a lot faster, but he kept shaking the fence, causing me to misplace my foot or my hand. I got to the top and went to jump over when he grabbed the bottom of my shirt and pulled down.

I held on and tried to go up, the collar of my shirt cutting into my throat. I looked at the van to see Ash come running towards us. I got closer to the top, the fabric restricting my breathing.

Ash came and slammed a crowbar on the other side of the fence where the guy was, causing him to slip down a foot. He didn't let go of my shirt so I choked against the pressure. I took my foot and kicked at his shoulder a few times, making him release me.

I quickly went to the top and dove forward. He shook the fence, moving the barbed wire farther out. The right side of my body snagged against the barbs, cutting into my skin.

I fell down to the ground, landing on my right arm that was tucked into my side. Unable to catch my breath, I moved around on the ground trying to get up, but I didn't have the strength.

Ash took me the same way he did and dragged me to the van. She handed me off to Leo who lifted me inside and laid me down on the cold, metal flooring. Ash got in and closed the door. Dalton floored it and went racing away.

I gripped my throat as I involuntarily made weird gasping and wheezing sounds as I tried breathing. I felt like I was drowning without any water. Meghan got out of the passenger seat and changed places with Ash. I started to panic which wasn't helping the fact that I could barely breathe.

"We need to go to the hospital, Leo's ankle is broken and Tobin needs to be treated ASAP." Ash said to Dalton. I could tell our course had changed and our van sped up.

The lack of oxygen started messing with my body. I suddenly felt like I was freezing, starting to shake as a reaction. My eyes felt heavy and I kept my gaze on the roof of the van.

After about five minutes of fighting to stay awake, the van stopped, and Ash and Meghan got out. Dalton dragged me to the door and opened it, revealing two people, a gurney and a wheelchair.

"Horrible construction accident. We were trying to set up the fencing for a pen at an animal shelter and it went horribly wrong." Meghan said worryingly. It wasn't that bad of a lie. I think they'd actually buy that.

One of the guys lifted me on to the gurney and that's when everything got worse. I started coughing at the humid air, and they rushed me inside. I couldn't stop.

I shot up from my laying position and turned, half over the edge of the gurney. I coughed up blood on to the ground and the world around me stopped.

I felt my body give out as I collapsed back down. I closed my eyes and the last thing I saw was the floor a few feet below me and my blood splattered on the tile.
