"I'm going out for a while." I said popping my head into Dad's room.
"Okay, be back by dinner. We're going to Nandos." he said. I nodded and left his room.
I grabbed my penny board (I got a new one last week) and my backpack and left.

I put in my ear phones and started listening to music as I rode down the sidewalk.
A couple minutes later I made it to my destination. The orphanage. I skipped up to the door and knocked.
"Alex?! Oh my!! I've missed you so much!" the headmistress yelled picking me up and hugging me.
"I missed you to! I haven't seen you since Christmas!" I chuckled hugging her back, careful not to hit her with my penny board.
"The girls have missed you so much. Go on in! They'll be so excited to see you." she cheered putting me down. I smiled and walked in. I looked around, remembering every memory I've had in this place. Which was basically growing up.
I walked outside into the back yard to see Jamie and Alexis playing together, with Bel chuckling at them.
"Tag! You're it!" Alexis laughed tapping Jamie.
"Aww man! But I was it a minute ago." Jamie sighed.
"Yeah, but if I'm it, and Bel wont play, you're the only one I can tag."Alexis said. I guess Katie got adopted.
"I'll play with you guys." I said walking on the grass. The both turned to face me. Once they saw me they both smiled.
"ALEX!!" the two girls yelled running up to me and hugging me. I laughed and hugged them back.
"I missed you guys." I said hugging them tighter.
"We missed you to." I heard Bel say. I stood up.
"Hey Bel. Long time no see." I said hugging her.
"Yeah! By the way, thank you for Christmas." She said.
"Dont sweat it. I just wanted you guys to be happy." I smiled. "Hey, I missed your guys' birthday. I brought gifts." I continued taking off my backpack and opening it.
I pulled out 3 gifts and handed them to the girls.
"Alex, Christmas was enough, what did you get us now?" Bel said.
