Not Today by Twenty One Pilots

"That was really nice of Feldman to just let us have an EP." Maddi said, sitting next to Katie.
"I know! I never would have dreamed in a million years that this would happen to us." Katie said, flipping channels on the tv. All the girls were sitting around in the living room, while the guys had to go to the studio for a bit.
"You guys we really should do something for him, as a thank you for giving us this opportunity." Chase said. She was painting her nails, adding some glitter over her usual black color.
"We really should... Hey lets throw him a surprise party!" Katie exclaimed.
"That's perfect! We could get cake, and balloons! It'll be awesome. " Maddi said, pulling out her phone.
"I'm texting Luke right now about this. We could probably get the stuff today."
"We could decorate his office! And get him a nice gift!" Chase said, smiling.
"Let's do it today!! After the guys get back we'll get the stuff and have him a nice little party tonight." Katie said, stretching her legs and getting off the couch.
Maddi dialed a number and held the phone up to her ear. "Yes, is this Debbie's Cakes? Yeah I'm gonna need one. Make it big, and make it LOUD."

Katie piled in the backseat of one of the boys many cars and Michael pulled out of the driveway, with Ashton in the passenger side. Luke and Maddi were going to pick up the cake, while Calum and Chase could go get decorations. Ashton, Michael and Katie were going to get Feldy a present for his surprise party.

"So" said Michael, pulling onto the interstate. "I'm thinking we go to the music store down the road from where you guys used to play at the diner, and we look there. If we don't find anything that screams 'FELDY', then we head down to the mall and look there. Sound good?"  Ashton nodded his head and Katie replied with a "yupp".
"Okay then!" Michael said, smiling. "Let's get this show on the road"

Calum opened the door to the party store and held it open and Chase walked in. She looked around at the stores array of banners, balloons, wrapping paper, and party favors. Streamers hung from the ceiling and confetti littered the floor, making it seem like you were actually at a party.
"Hi! How are you guys today??" Said a perky girl with a blue polo that read 'Party Central!" On it.
"We're fine." Replied Chase, and the girl smiled and hopped on her heels, so that her blonde pigtails swung.
"That's great! Let me know if you need anything!" She said and walked off.
Chase turned around, and Calum had wandered off. She walked around the store for a bit until she found him walking down an aisle, with at least 10 packages in his hands.
He smiled sheepishly and held one up, and it was a pack of latex balloons.
"You can never have too many balloons." He declared, putting them in the basket Chase held in her hand. She laughed and inspected one, seeing that they were yellow with smiley faces on them.
"If we're getting all these balloons, and I'm gonna go get some confetti and party poppers." Chase said, giddy with excitement. She walked down the aisle and grabbed several packs of party poppers and rainbow confetti. Just as she turned around, Calum popped a party popper in her face, causing her let out a squeal and stumbling over the basket sitting on the ground.
She would have fallen if not for Calum, who shot his long arms back and grabbed her, keeping her from falling. He held her close as Chase looked up into his deep brown eyes and let out a laugh. Calum laughed along with her, slowly setting her upright, but not letting go of her arm.
Chase wiped a tear that had slipped out of her eye from laughing so hard and looked at him.
"You really scared me, you know." She said, a pale pink blush creeping across her cheeks.
"That was the plan." Calum winked at her, taking the basket that had fallen during the ordeal.
"So, are we done here?" Chase said.
"Yeah, I think so. Wanna go get ice cream after this?" Calum said, a bubble of hope forming in his chest.
Please say yes. He pleaded in his head. It's just one word. Please say yes.
"Calum, I would love to go get ice cream with you. " Chase stated.
Her goofily happy smile mimicked the one Calum wore, as she grabbed his hand and pulled him along.

Luke and Maddi sang to the top of their lungs as they drove towards the bakery. Blink-182, one of their favorite bands, has just released a new album.
"SAVE YOUR BREATH, IM NEARLY. BORED TO DEATH AND FADING FAAAST." They sang, harmonizing with each other perfectly. Luke pulled into the bakery and put the truck into park. He let go of Maddi's hand to open his door, then jogged around to open hers.
They stepped in the bakery, the smells of freshly baked goods welcoming them.
"Hello! Can I help you with anything?" A man standing at the front counter greeted them.
"Yes, we have a cake order for Feldman?" Maddi asked.
"Okay! It should be ready, I'll run and grab it for you." The man smiled, his teeth too white to be natural, and opened a door that led to the back room.
Maddi fiddled with her phone while Luke eyed the cupcakes on the display counter, when the man brought out a teal blue box. He opened it, and showed them a cake that was white, decorated with black music notes. The cake read "Thanks Feldy!" In blue swirly letters.
"It looks great!" Luke exclaimed, pulling out his wallet. "How much?"
The man at the counter glanced at the receipt taped to the top of the box and punched some numbers in his cash register.
"166.50"
Luke let out a long, low whistle and pulled out his credit card, swiping it in the machine. The man gave them their receipt with a farewell, and they headed out the door.
The minute the stepped outside, Maddi's phone rang. She pulled it out of her pocket and and answered it without glancing at the caller ID.
"Maddi?" Said the voice on the other end.
"Katie! Hi! We just picked up the cake, it looks awesome. Did you guys find him a gift?"
"No, Maddi. Listen." Katies voice was shaky, like she has been crying
"We-we... We were in a car crash. Meet us at the hospital, Michaels hurt."

YALL IM BAACK. It's been almost a year but I'm back, and I really hope you guys like this chapter. I'm gonna try to update more often, and at least finish the story. Love you all!!❤️
